Interest in Former WWE Developmental Kenneth Cameron?

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
TNA Insider via the Wrestling Observer:

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Former WWE NXT Star Kenneth Cameron has either been offered a TNA contract or will be offered one soon.

As we reported earlier, Cameron had a dark match against Florida independent wrestler Aaron Solo during TNA’s X-Travaganza pay per view.

As usual, I know jack shit about this Cameron fella other than what I just Googled on him. Looks right. No idea if he acts right, or if there's value there by means of ring contributions, but if this could be another ECIII-type pick-up where WWE simply passed on something they didn't see, then by all means, welcome aboard!

Absolutely great for TNA! James Storm resigning means at least some form of stability in the TNA-roster.

You just can't have the measure of discontinuity in your roster that TNA has. As if the writing isn't scattered enough... Imagine the development two guys like Kenny King and Knux could've had if they'd stayed on, instead of this on-again/off-again romance with TNA.

Cameron had a great, Undertakery gimmick with perennial tag-teamer Conner o' Brian in NXT. They had fluorescent contact-lenses and palm-lights, but he only got in a hot minute of TV-time before deciding that getting caught smoking the reefer was a good idea. No real opinion of him from me, but the Ascension looked cool as shit:

So that's what got him booted — smoking a little weed? I remember seeing these guys' fuckin' tremendous intro. I'd be happy to have that sort of character strength in TNA.

No idea on just how good or bad his wrestling ability is (I didn't stick around to watch the match), but he's got a great look.

Being from England I follow the careers of any Brit or Irish wrestlers who get signed by WWE. I enjoyed Cameron's work as part of The Ascension (I preferred the original version) but Cameron didn't get fired for smoking weed he was released because he assaulted a police officer whilst intoxicated. Obviously WWE had to act when one of its talents does that

Well James Storm resigning has to be good news and while i'm not too bothered if Daniels and Kaz go, I do think resigning Aries should be high on the list of priorities as he has become one of there biggest stars over the last couple of years and if TNA can get Cameron to sign on the cheap then he could very well be somebody that the company could build the X-Division around, All they need to do is give him the right character.

He got arrested for assaulting a police officer while drunk. WWE shitcanned him as a result. He's an above average worker and largely held The Ascension together in the ring. Good look, memorable voice when he cuts promos. If he wasn't a dipshit I'd say TNA had made a great signing. If he had name value (looking at you, Kurt) I'd be willing to overlook that. But 18 months removed from being part of a tag team in Developmental? He's got none.

I think re-signing Aries and Bad Influence is important, they are three of TNA's best and most consistent performers and characters. If Joe's contract is up this year he'll be another one they should keep as well. The big difficulty will be getting Angle to sign a new deal IMO.

As I said earlier, he certainly looks the part. No idea if he acts it, or if there's value there by means of ring contributions, seeing as I've never seen him actually wrestle (I've only ever seen the Ascension intro videos) but if this could be another ECIII-type pick-up where WWE simply passed on something they didn't see, then by all means, welcome aboard!

He'd give the company another fresh slate with no real baggage to carry with him like most ex-WWE talents have, so it'd allow TNA an opportunity to make him their product. Not just a WWE product they are reintroducing in a different color.

At the new set of Impact! tapings, Cameron debuted in a handicap match with fellow Englishman Magnus, under the name 'Bram'. Now, given his previous incarnation in the macabre Ascension, I worry (albeit don't know as the spoilers didn't mention it) if he is portraying a vampire gimmick, as the only Bram I know of is the guy who wrote 'Dracula'. I hope im wrong, as a vampire gimmick just wouldn't have a long shelf life

I'll give it time, if it's another English heel stable, then I hope they give them more time than the British Invasion.
