Indiana just beat #1 Kentucky

Excellence of Execution
And it was one of the greatest games I've ever seen. Absolutely incredible game. And watching the fans rush the floor the way they did was absolutely amazing.

Sorry KB, but even you can't be too disappointed in that game.

Damn it, I was out and I missed it. Was it THAT good?

Phenomenal...I don't really have an emotional attachment to either team, and I found myself on the edge of my seat and celebrating when Indiana hit the final shot.

It was amazing. Instant classic. I'm sure it'll be on again.

I give Kentucky a ton of credit. Even with Jones playing poorly and Davis in foul trouble they almost came back. IU didn't play that well, we just had one hell of a game winning shot.

Indiana did play very well in the second half, outside of a couple of minutes towards the end. I don't know why they kept playing man to man, when it was obvious they couldn't stop the dribble penetration, but then again, I have no doubt Tom Crean (rightfully) doesn't give a rat's ass about my coaching philosophy.

Not to sound like Dickie V. but IU really needed to feed the ball down low to Zeller more, as well as attack Davis. It all worked out, but it was frustrating to watch them not give the ball to the best player on the team. I'm happy regardless.

Feeding the post isn't nearly as easy as Vitale was making it sound. Yes, there were a couple of times when they should have thrown it to him, but there were several times Vitale was whining that Zeller was either not open, or there was no way Indiana could get him the ball.

Indiana's offense was definitely out of sync, but I think that had more to do with Kentucky's defense than anything else.

Dickie V's call was pretty awesome when that 3 was hit. But man, Kentucky sucked today and Indiana beat them with their perimeter shooting. Great, great game. Props to Watford for an amazing shot.

I like Dickie V, but this why I wish Bobby Knight could commentate every college basketball game. I learn more about the game listening to him talk about it for a couple of hours than I have in my 26 years of living and following the game.

But yeah... saw the highlights to this game and it looked incredible. Definitely will check out the 2nd half if a replay shows up on ESPN U or Classic anytime soon.

Knew it was a matter of time. Thought Kentucky played terrible last Saturday at home against UNC. UNC may have tied to go into OT but they didn't believe in fouling with time left on the clock.
