I know it's just due to the Hernandez issue, but having to air old (well oldish) matches to fill TV time is another thing that makes TNA look bad.

From what I can find, these matches, plus a Hernandez match, were supposed to be part of a series to name a new #1 contender. For some reason that was dropped and only the main event is involved with the title picture. My guess is they couldn't edit Hernandez out of the announcement so they're just having random gimmick matches instead.

Might have been one of the worst episodes they've done of IMPACT in a while. Had absolutely no flow whatsoever. God, Hernandez really fucked this up.

Bully Ray pulls out his Twittah machine and presses record:

"I'm so sick of EC3 ducking away from anything difficult. Tonight we're going to find out who the toughest man in TNA is with a series of violent matches. Whoever impresses me the most is the new #1 contender. EC3, you better be watching because one of these men is coming for you."

Bully Ray presses send and TNA management receives the video, which is inserted into the opening of Impact.

That took me 40 seconds to type and would have increased the coherence of last night's show by about 300%.
