Impact Support Club House

From TNA's press release on the upcoming Impact tapings.

IMPACT WRESTLING features a diverse roster of professional athletes and entertainers including Jeff and Matt Hardy, Ethan Carter III (EC3), Bobby Lashley, Drew Galloway, James Storm, The Miracle Mike Bennett, the best female wrestlers in the world – the TNA Knockouts – led by Gail Kim and Maria Kanellis Bennett, and the no limits high-flying X-Division.

1. The Hardys are listed first and second with the World Champion listed fourth.

2. The Knockouts are led by Gail Kim with Maria, the on-screen leader, listed second. The current champion isn't even listed.

3. The Tag Team Champions don't even warrant a mention.

So they can please your pedantic request? Pretty sure that's not happening.

You've got a lot of complaints about TNA, most of which are legitimate and based on reason, logic, and evidence. This isn't one of them. This is myopic.

Let's talk free agents. Most of the WCW guys are retired now. NXT has signed pretty much every big indy star in the Northern hemisphere. A few of the original gang up and left too.

Who could be a good fit for TNA, but also enhance the show?

Just saw this.

Actually it's something that should take all of thirty seconds to fix, but since they can't even get the graphics on their show right, this probably is out of their capabilities to fix.

Marty Scurll, Mr. 450, Speedball Mike Bailey, Rampage Brown, hell, borrow guys from AAA who aren't in LU like Psycho Clown or Pagano. There's tons of guys out there, it's just that these guys push one out of ten talented guys in their roster. Seriously, they have Mark Andrews on their roster who's amazing in England but in TNA he just has a skateboard and hardly wrestles.

Andrews was given a pretty prolific spot in the Ultimate X match this past IMPACT.

I'd like to see them bring over some of the UK guys they had on the UK tour this year — Damo, Jimmy Havoc, and Will Ospreay would be a fucking dream.

I don't care how long you think it would take to "fix". It doesn't need fixing. It's a waste of their time and a waste of their efforts to re-send the same fucking press release to writers and the press because you think the order of the wrestlers isn't as it should be.

This is utter pedantry.

True. They could use that money and time for better things. Like fixing boats and xylophones.

I'd like to see them bring over some of the UK guys they had on the UK tour this year — Damo, Jimmy Havoc, and Will Ospreay would be a fucking dream.

Damo had a Performance Center tryout, and is rumored to be signing with NXT in the fall. Havoc had major knee surgery about three months and will still be on the shelf for several more weeks/months(prior to that he was rumored to be being brought in fulltime by TNA), and Ospreay signed an exclusive contract with NJPW right around the same time that he appeared with TNA for the UK tour.

There are still about a hundred guys on the indy scene in the UK and in North America that could upgrade the roster though. Moose is a good start(even though they reportedly DRASTICALLY overpayed for him), he's a better fit for TNA than he was for ROH. TNA needs to focus on any relevant guys that either can't garner or for whatever reason can't maintain strong WWE/NXT interest, and offer them above market value to sign.

With that said, they also need to do more than just sign guys for the sake of signing guys, as some of their recent signings do help fill the shallow roster but they don't do much else. Additions like Bennet/Maria and Moose are worth over paying a bit because they create some buzz, even if its marginal. Signing very young guys with indy scene buzz and extreme untapped potential who haven't garnered ROH contracts or WWE interest yet, like Lee and Everett, is also a smart tactic. While I like Braxton Sutter and can agree that he helps fill the lower card, signing too many late 30s journeyman just because they're good hands and willing to sign at a fair price, is never going to move the needle.

Of course, but if you're tactical and smart about who you bring in, and why, you can find a lot of great cheap options. Like I'd imagine Sutter is.

TNA taped their XTravaganza ONO tonight.

The "outsider" names that they've announced for the show were: Chuck Taylor(I know IDR is a fan, but honestly Chuck is mostly a comedy guy, has some burnout on the business, and isn't getting any younger); Shynron(the masked guy who got the one-off against Jeff Hardy a couple months back, definitely no potential beyond bottom rung X-Division jobber); Marshe Rockett(a guy actually under contract who hasn't debuted yet, I know next to nothing about him- which is a really bad sign); Caleb Konley (another guy reportedly under contract who hasn't debuted yet, in the same mold as Pepper Parks, he's a bit older but is a solid hand with a decent look and TNA should start using him); and then three guys that I'm literally BEGGING the company to sign to deals---> John Gresham, a guy who ROH has been booking a lot lately and who their fanbase has been highly in favor of getting a contract. He's really small, but even at 28 years old he has over ten years in the business and has a really fun style to watch mixing in some high flying stuff with a strong base of immense technical proficiency. The other two guys- "The Product" David Starr and "The Juice" JT Dunn used to be indy tag partners known as the Juicy Product. These guys are both in their mid-twenties and two of the better names on the American indy scene. They have great looks and they're high ability workers. Signing both Dunn and Starr would arguably a better pair of signings than Everett and Lee were.

Remember earlier when I said "signing very young guys with indy scene buzz and extreme untapped potential who haven't garnered ROH contracts or WWE interest yet, like Lee and Everett, is also a smart tactic"?? Well guys like Gresham, Dunn, and Starr are the exact kind of guys that I was referring to. These three guys would automatically make the X-Division legit again and immediately raise the company's profile from a workrate standpoint. Dunn and Starr, given their age and talent, have potential to develop into big time future stars for TNA if brought in.

Bram shaving his beard has not been discussed? Wow, I don't like it. His intensity is gone without it minus his eyes.

Decay, an awesome group that is over. Hopefully TNA does not do what they do best and split them already. Crazzy Steve is jacked. Abyss is losing weight. Moose! Moose! Moose!

TNA has been on fired recently. I think Corgan can have a good influence for the company but good God keep Dixie off TV. She sucks and even my girlfriend agrees and she does not watch the show.
