Impact Support Club House

I honestly think there's going to be a Corporate Ministry-esque swerve where MVP and Dixie combine their factions together...despite having being at each other's throats a few months ago.

The justification for it will probably be "BIG FACTIONS ARE SCARY!"

I thought MVP had his power stripped at the Bethlehem tapings.

Can't remember fully, but I think that's what FMB meant.

Angle is fine as he is; he's TNA's biggest mainstream star, so it's probably better that they show him on screen, while he heals up.

I just don't get this company. They have tapings in front of the best market they've ever had, in the most storied wrestling building they've ever had, and instead of really featuring the talent to attract new fans, they try to recreate ECW for the 45th time.

Here is a novel idea, why not take the Television Title, which hasn't been seen on TV for how long, and have Abyss and Joe tear the house down for 30 minutes. Feature the remaining guys that are there, that are long time members of the roster. Build those guys that have a history with the company. Instead, they create a stable with 3rd brand curtain jerkers from WWE circa 2007.

He did, from the spoilers I've read (these are IMPOSSIBLE to avoid right now).

Angle is the new babyface DWO (Director of Wrestling Operations). Carter was also informed in that taping that she too was out.

As to Jackson/Snitsky, I'm really upset over that, but I'm willing to wait it out to see how it plays out. I just really hate the idea of bringing in even more guys like that with Angle cutting a promo about TNA going back to it's roots and rebooting. That's not rebooting. It's tripping over the same fuckin' landmines they always have in bringing in scrubs.

So Angle is the lone authority figure, meaning he walks into Tokyo as a heel right?

No it wasn't. Most people there have said that both balconies were pretty empty. It's not like it's a horrible thing, not a good thing, but nobody expected TNA to go to NYC and sell-out all three nights. If they sell out one night they could probably view this as an achievement. It's not their stomping ground and it's smark central, smarks being the biggest anti-TNA group there is.

The balcony that I was facing was full basically the whole night

I didn't mind Zeke or Snitsky in WWE, but they were perfectly disposable with more talented guys.

With TNA displaying most of its cards on the table this week, it HAS shown that it is capable of making decisions that promote the good kind of intrigue, such as the return of the six-sided ring and the BFG announcement, but it's also demonstrated ineptness on their part with their common clichés (major stables taking over the company, ex-WWE stars getting exposure over young talent, over-focus on the main-event).

The best analogy to describe TNA right now is a crazed painter. As opposed to carefully crafting art, they instead hurl paint at the wall, and hope fans appreciate it. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't, which is a shame.

Side-note: I love Rhyno for some reason, and I'm glad he's back.

I mean, knowing TNA? Three-way main event bout for the World Title where winner gets controlling stake of TNA operations for his faction — Team Angle, with like Austin Aries or whoever as his champion, versus Team Dixie with her contender, versus Team MVP with Lashley as Champion.

That's what I see.

I like him too. He does one thing but he doesn't act like it's anything more than that. The Gore works as a quick finisher too.

Well it is TNA and they love them some triple threats. THe fact that NJPW is having a major show in the same city on the same day and I don't know how closely the fans follow TNA, the reactions will be.....interesting.

Like everyone else, I'm wondering how this will pan out. Angle is no stranger to the authority role, so it will make for interesting TV.

I was. You need less than ten thousand people in a city of ten million. That really shouldn't be that hard. Comp them if nothing else and hope you get some money off concessions/merchandise they might buy.

But it's TNA. There's no buzz around the product, they did a good job advertising but when you advertise things people don't care about then they won't come out. That's the big difference between say TNA and ROH, one has had it all and blown it all, the other is the underdog who goes for broke almost every single show. Which one is more easy to get behind?

And also being the biggest pro-TNA group there is.

The IWC, after all, is very much like Goldilocks.

Considering 1 million people (I think their average for this year is now less by like 100,000 or so) watch their show and less then 12,000 bought their biggest PPV of the year I think the anti-TNA portion outweighs the pro-TNA side.

The balcony that I was facing was full basically the whole night

Dude, I've seen a good five or six picture now. I've read reports from fans live, from guys like the Wrestling Observer and they all say the place was nowhere near full. In-fact this is exactly what WON said about the attendance in their detailed report.

People were lining up awhile before the show but once the first bell rang you could see the crowd wasn't that big. If I were to guess maybe 600 - 650. They moved some fans one side of the camera so they could face the hard cam. Balconies had people in them but not many.

Who the fuck cares if it was full or not. The spoilers alone have me gushing. It's nothing but amazement all 3 tapings according to every report. And there's also videos going around of some insane spots.

The second set of spoilers actually looks solid.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but just because 12,000 people bought the PPV doesn't mean the people who didn't aren't pro TNA, and vice-versa of course.

You bet your ass, baby!

Seriously, though, if Angle starts his own heel faction for control of the company, I'll never watch again. :(

Gah you better not have jinxed it!

So after BFG, what do you guys think is next? New faction? Normal one on one feud for the title? A proper World Champion?

Why the fuck doesn't this happen more often? It should be the standard set-up for the main-event. Doing something different is good, but not if what you are doing differently (read "Heel Factions") is the same different thing each time. I would welcome a bitter and personal feud for the WHC.

Last time we got that was in 2012. Roode vs Styles, Hardy, Sting, Storm and then Aries. Guess what happened after that. Yep, another heel faction.

Yeah he did only have it for 2 weeks. But I'd be happy if it were him, Roode, Aries or even Hardy. Just a good and talanted representative of the company, that's all I ask for.

So, yay to man on woman brutality, huh?

Like I said, really stupid they're devoting so much time to an angle that involves a middle aged woman going through a table. But hey, if TNA wants to screw over their deal with Spike, be my guest.
