Impact Support Club House

Just made a thread about it. This one actually surprised me.

My first thought: they can't afford to pay their production staff but they can send the roster to Tokyo?

I'm surprised by how hard they're banking on Japan. If it doesn't work, they could be in major trouble. I don't see this doing much good for their BFG buys.

The early estimate is around 600 for the Grand Ballroom. No word on how tomorrows tickets are selling but I just want to make this observation here instead of a thread discussing her tweet; Dixie said that the third night is sold-out. The third night is not sold-out, as many have since found out. In fact one dude on Reddit made a very angry post about how she said the show was sold-out because he wanted to go and when he saw it he thought he'd lost his chance, and changed his plans for Friday night, so now he can't go, which (while it's only one customer) TNA lost business because of her silly tweet.

Reading the spoilers some of the stuff actually looks decent (might watch Hardys/Wolves... might) but the ending sounds horrible. You preach about change in the opening promo and then debut two guys who are continuing the trend you CONSTANTLY DO! Nobody wants to see Snitsky. Or Zeke Jackson. Or King Mo. Just sign good wrestlers! Look at WWE with Bryan and Cesaro and Punk and Ambrose and Rollins and on and on, it's proven to work!

Also, funniest part of the spoilers I read.

Austin Aries and Eddie Edwards started the X-Division gauntlet. A lot of fans started a loud "ROH" chant, Aries smiled at the crowd, two security members asked some fans in the front row to stop.

I couldn't really care less about those three, I'm not sure what they'll do but I don't think it'll be effective. Also the Japan thing is concerning. They're making it out as if Muta is still a big draw and that Wrestle-1 is a huge thing in Japan, none of which is true. It would be stupid not to air their biggest show live in the country they're most popular in. In the UK it'd be different but I doubt they're massive in Japan.

I'm pretty optimistic for this venture to Japan. It's good to hear some impressive news coming from TNA's end after the turmoil that it's been through these past few months.

Kudos to TNA for taking the risk, a risk that has generated a lot of buzz and may in fact pay off as a result.

I was really hoping for TNA to blossom in the NY tapings. Because c'mon, it's New York, everything is bigger in New York. Looks like that's not the case with the crowds TNA was hoping to garner in New York. Can't really blame the fans though because from the spoilers I've read, wow. This would not be a show I want to attend. Just wait until Kurt Angle turns heel and has his own heel stable.....

They're in New York two more days. Oh my goodness I hope Dixie doesn't go through a table. I could retire on the jokes I'll have.

I wonder what exactly goes through their mind when they let Kazarian and Daniels go, but sign Ezekial Jackson and Snitsky. The latter are the exact definition of failed WWE castoffs.

Then again, I shouldn't be so hard on Snitsky; it wasn't his fault.

That picture was taken at the end of the night the first part of the taping the crowd was full

No it wasn't. Most people there have said that both balconies were pretty empty. It's not like it's a horrible thing, not a good thing, but nobody expected TNA to go to NYC and sell-out all three nights. If they sell out one night they could probably view this as an achievement. It's not their stomping ground and it's smark central, smarks being the biggest anti-TNA group there is.

I was. You need less than ten thousand people in a city of ten million. That really shouldn't be that hard. Comp them if nothing else and hope you get some money off concessions/merchandise they might buy.

I was hoping for some good shows in NY as well, but after the last Impact, I feel like TNA is in a very sad state at the moment.

What is their obsession with heel GM's, or whatever they want to name them? And now they have 2.

While she may be considered a principal owner or whatever and not "Director of Wrestling Operations" like MVP, she's still playing a heel authority figure, just as he is.
