Impact Support Club House

I mean the point where they originally had a 4-sided ring with the black ropes, and the NWA was more emphasized. Amazing Red was in the first match I can remember with the S.A.T cousins. Anyhow, why did you stop watching the WWE?

Amazing Red was never amazing to me. He was incredibly unbelievable. I'm all for giving guys a shot and all, but that guy hits the ropes about as hard as a 90-pound Diva, and his "impact" on every bump is like watching/hearing a pin drop. I never saw the appeal, at all.

WWE I was never really ever a big fan of. I grew up a WCW fan, watching on TBS from the early days through to Nitro and Thunder. In wanting to just watch more wrestling, numerous times I tried to get into WWE, and I even watched for years on end at points, but it just never resonated with me. I was always a WCW guy. Just like I'm now a TNA guy. It's my brand. It's really tough to buy another brand, because this is what I'm used to. This is what I've invested my heart into. I was the same way with WCW.

What made/makes me stop every time is being utterly bored watching it. The last time I tried to get into it, the Miz was still a guy there (is he still?), and I used to get into arguments with guys on this forum who were telling me "he's doing his job" when I told them I literally changed the channel when I heard his music hit "AWESOME!" >> immediately change the channel.

Karen Jarrett and she's not an investor she's suing for sexual harassment against Surge again. She gets half of TNA in the settlement.

I remember Bret Hart going off on Flair in his book for his chops. The whole point of wrestling is to not hurt your opponent. Called Flair an absolute mark for actually slapping the guys as hard as he could.

As for the investor, one guy on the forum reminded me of the deal TNA reached with Keiji Mutoh. It's not a bad idea as far as i'm concerned. The guy actually is a wrestling promoter with money. The wolves are a little stiffer styled right? Rumoured MVP used to work with NJPW, so he could know Mutoh through that. Bring in a few talents from over seas and we could get a real good faction wars going!

Lots of marks in wrestling these days.

Not really. Seemed like the worst parts of Shield & Ascension video packages.

Also Eddie Edwards is just fucking adorable. He's ECW DH Smith levels of non-threatening.

It's funny how they have this investor storyline about the same time rumors of financial issues and new ownership are floating about. It's too soon to say but I woudn't be surprised if it was Jarrett. I can't really think of anyone else that won't piss off the fans like Sting and Hogan.

I think it was Jack-Hammer that pointed out that it won't be possible for Sting to go to the Wrestlemania because of TNA's contract clause. It states something like once you leave the company, you have to wait for 90 days to pass until you can go on to another televised wrestling promotion. But who knows, they came to an agreement regarding Flair didn't they?

Too deep for me. I mean, I guess it makes sense. Do the Wolves have history in Japan too? I'm not one of those fans who watches broadcasts that aren't in English, and that I can't tune into through my cable. I have no desire to scour the internet for Asian websites that somehow stream that to me, just so I can say I saw Alex Shelley wrestle a guy whose name I can't pronounce.

I mean, more power to you if you do, but that's not my cup of tea, and I like to think I'm representative of the larger wrestling fan base who operate in the same manner.

But aren't there like ten different Japanese promotions, too?

Ha! He definitely doesn't play the heel to well. Guy looks like he was born a baby face. He probably came out smiling.

I should read that book.

Bret was a stiff worker (or at least that what it sounds like in HTM's one shoot), so that's weird.

But the point of pro wrestling IS to not harm your opponent, as far as possible.

And as for the mystery investor...

Bret didn't really work "stiff" in the sense the word is used these days. He worked rigid, I guess, is a better term, but was also one of the safest guys to work with in the industry. Guys would praise him to the high heavens over how well he protected them in the ring, and it's something he's prided himself on his entire career, having never injured anyone in the ring.

It's a shame the favour wasn't returned, eh?

What does working "rigid" mean? Do you mean how his moveset was very basic(Sidewalk slams, double ax handle, elbow drops, etc)?

So what was up with that epileptic Wolves promo?

Excited to hear they'll be working with Bad Influence, though wouldn't have made sense to go with the rumored idea of them squashing Bro Mans in their first match for the titles and then feuding with the much better heel team?

Can't really think of a better term. I just mean that he works "stiff", in that everything appears hard-hitting, but he's actually such a student of the game that his opponents were always safer with him than they likely were with others, who weren't as concerned with the safety of their opponent as much as they were with other things (making sure the crowd was hot, etc).

The problem is that "stiff" is a term, at least now, that's used to describe guys who potato you, and who actually try to hurt the guys they work with.

I think there two or three important Japanese promotions? Not my cup of tea either, in truth. I'm not worried about the depth of the whole thing, and financial accuracy. Its a wrestling show. But with the agreement to share talent and the wolves saying there more to come... Why not?

I understand stiff as how you described it in the first instance. Bret was stiff, so if he told you you're punching too hard, you probably are.

The new understanding also goes by another name... "unprofessional".

Who's next!?

That other guy who's AWWWWWWESO-
