On the subject of NXT, they now have a couple of idiots doing the whole 'turn your back to show THEM' thing, which comes off as hilarious because it is literally a couple people in a crowd paying rapt attention. As in two people, a pair, a duece, less than three but more than one.

Network subscribers can watch the Bayley vs Eva Marie match from this week's NXT for a good gut laugh. One guy gives up his protest about two minutes in; another guy makes a big show of reading a book at an event he paid money to attend, then turns to look whenever Bayley gets offense in.

Fucking wrestling fans, man.

I'm so excited for this Destination Redneck experiment to die tonight.

I haven't been watching as it is, so having to wait another three weeks with no TNA on television is fine by me, but I'm actually excited for the Pop debut.

Kind of hoping for a surprise or two, even if they're smaller.

Also, I'm really hoping Bram gets vaulted right out of the gate. I'd love to see him just destroy whoever (hopefully a face) wins the World Title, just to strap a rocket him.

I like his promo ability but I can't say Bram's impressed me in the ring. Does he still have those domestic violence charges though?

Nah, they were dropped a little bit ago.

Bram is nothing special in the ring, but neither is EC3, and he's the hottest thing in the whole company IMO. Ring-work matters little if your personality can sell you well above it like it can with both Bram and EC3. You can actually be an average in-ring performer and still come across as a viable main event talent in spite of that flaw.

Oh by the way this thread is now going to be my thread to use when I want to comment on random older TNA stuff I'm watching.

Watching Final Resolution 2005 right now.

1) Roddy Piper pulling one foreign object after another out of Scott Hall's trunks before his match against Jeff Hardy is legitimately hilarious.

2) I forgot how fuckin' rockin' that Team Canada/AMW tag match was.

Going back and cycling through 05-09 TNA to fill in ratings gaps on my blog and it just saddens me when I see how good they used to be. I mean, they were always a little inept, they had that WCW thing where they'd do some DUMB shit from their start to now but back then you could count on excellent wrestling most of the time, especially in 04-06. End of 04/early 05 they had a killer tag division man, AMW, Team Canada, XXX, The Naturals (who were WAY better than I remember them being), Michael Shane and Kazarian, Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt. Stacked division of teams that could put on great matches, and that's all before LAX showed up. No love for the 3 Live Kru though, they were abysmal despite being over.

TNA might be losing the Hardy's sometime next year for a run in WWE. Hopefully TNA can draw a crowd and get people to stay with the brand and they can keep Jeff.

Not sure why TNA doesn't push Hardy or Anderson. They both have in Andersons case they had name value.

Well Jeff is injured and Anderson is kinda a one trick pony (sad to say) If Matt and Jeff turned up in WWE I'd be stoked. So long as Jeff A. gets to keep the facepaint and B. faces Seth Rollins

I can't believe what has become of Mr. Anderson/Kennedy. From one of the brightest young guys in the business and a future star to a total footnote and forgotten name.

His cage match with Kurt Angle at one of the Lockdown shows will always be one of my favorite matches though. You know the one, where Angle basically said "Fuck it, I'm willing to literally die right now on live PPV" and did a moonsault off that huge cage.

Kurt did that not too long ago against EC3 as well. Angle may just be immortal and we're only finding it out now.

I still like Anderson. It's not like he's getting overexposed, either. He's a funny guy.

Really not sure why Bennett and Maria would leave ROH to begin with but Maria's ass alone will bring ratings, and maybe even more attendance to shows. That woman in general is stunning.

I expect TNA to make Bennett champ within a month or two of him being there knowing Dixie.

There are two women I've ever seen who actually left me unable to speak. One is my wife and the other is Maria. I met her at Supercard of Honor last year and shook her hand. She looked straight at me and I had nothing.

I met her back in August at a Northeast Wrestling show and was speechless upon seeing her in this tight red dress that showed off everything she has. And then she came out in ring gear during the show and all you could hear is a ton of guys going HOLY SHIT!

Conflicting info on whether or not Taven is under contract or not, and apparently Elgin is working without one too. Wonder if TNA might be raiding the ROH cupboards for January 5th?

Yep. Bennett is in really good shape and is passable in the ring.

Maria as the gorgeous queen of all (not in a spoiled brat way but in a serious "you all are beneath me" way) is one of the best non-managers going today.

In what ROH footage I watched this year, I really liked the presentation of both. Not sure I'd change a thing. Just shift Maria's name to "The First Lady of TNA"?

Bennett's solid. He's improved greatly from being atrocious to now being serviceable, but he's nothing special. Maria's the better acquisition. Neither will do anything to help them draw however. Not that many people could.

I really, really don't see Elgin ending up in TNA though. One, WWE has interest in him and I don't see how they don't grab him eventually, two, I think Elgin is smart enough to stay away from that black hole.

EC3 is also nothing special (in the ring). He's something special on the mic though, and it's taken him quite far.
