In short;

• Dixie had a chance to get ahead of the story, and didn't.
• After failing to do so, Dixie and TNA wanted to start a smear campaign.

Meltzer has never, ever been concise. Especially in his talking. Were it not for Bryan, the podcasts would be really fucked, to be sure.
