I saw your contributions. VLC is a great program, and I'll probably go back and put that in as well. 7 Zip is all right, but I've only used it once or twice...usually WinRar or the Windows unzip utility works. I may have to try a couple others.

The only reason why I use 7-zip is that WinRar isn't working on my laptop for some reason. I was also looking for an iso player at the time and this bad one I got became my file management program.

I should also add AlltoAVI(used it after a torrent gave me a whole tv series in a format I couldn't use) and xfire(good if you play halo on your comp).

Let's face it, tools like WinRAR and 7-Zip and VLC are all really just essential porn downloading tools. That's partly why I mentioned codecs. Didn't read the entire thread, just skimmed it, did you mention any codec packs Sly? Because they're essential for anyone who likes to download movies.
