Yes indeed, guys and gals. It is that time of the months again, when newsletters are blooming around us and people are alerted to the wonderful things that are going on around them on WrestleZone Forums. This time, it is the return of the Video Games and Technology Newsletter, brought to you by myself. Since the last newsletter, the VGT section has seen an great flow of traffic come it’s way and it is all due to the wonderful conversation and threads regarding technology that has been created there. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, maybe these ideas will.
KillJoy has been very active in the section over the last month and his threads have acted as a breath of fresh air. Here are some of the entries that he has made this month:
Who’s Top Dog? Media Players:
http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=83045
Killjoy’s Character Series:
http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=82947
Killjoy asks us who has come out on top of the battle for media player supremacy and it really does provoke a lot of thought. In his Character Series, Killjoy will be examining characters that have made their names in video games and why some have transcended the this world into something more.
MRC has also been quite active and has given us two threads that really provoke a lot of thought when examined:
Casual Gaming:

How Much Do We Know About Technology?
http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=81827
MRC challenges us to think about how much we actually know about how technology works and gives a great scenario for finding out. This is an excellent thread and one that I would highly recommend to anyone. He also attempts to make us think about the ramifications on the hardcore video games fan with the introduction of casual gaming.
Blade has been busy again and has made a thought provoking thread that examines our emotional attachment to video games and the characters included within:
Emotional Attachment to Video Game heroes:
http://forums.wrestlezone.com/showthread.php?t=81457
This is a great thread that asks why we feel the need to relate to the characters that exist within games and th results that are evident when we do.
Dagger Dias has also made a really great thread that has founded a lot of debate over original and sampled music in video games
What Is Your Favourite Video Games Soundtrack And Why?

All of these threads are definitely worth a look and your time. The VGT section has been on a roll lately and some of the best threads of the section have been created this month. A huge thank you to everyone that has posted in the section this month for your time and effort. That includes, Dagger, MRC, Lordslix, JB Blazin, Blade, Lee, Doc, Killjoy and myself.
