I always thought Dolph was credible in the ring, wasn't too high on him and i thought on the stick he was utter dribble. Though this year and funnily since the Z true island story and his little #Heel segments he's improved. Now he can actually pull off his, cocky arrogant heel schtick. See He and Miz were roughly the same Miz had that style but Ziggler had the in ring ability more so that Miz and now that Ziggler can speak alot better now, he sure as hell can back it up with more conviction.

His breaking point is when he splits with Vickie, I hope he succeeds, and i think he will.


Also can i say about Zig and Miz... Now if you put them together they are very similar arrogany and cocky right but! out of the two who could you easily see turn face? The Miz right? i think if you look at that it just shows you how well Ziggler is doing with his character. When you read Zigglers interviews and you realise he's a smart well rounded guy it makes me have more respect for the guy.

I felt the same way. Dolph's older gimmicks such as the golfer or the Spirit Squad made me show a rather low level of interest in his Ziggler character from the moment he debuted that persona because those were really stupid characters. Ziggler has come a long way since then and improved quite a bit. There's no question about it that he is ready to main event. He often has the best match of the night now and it's just a matter of when WWE will be moving him up the card. The fact that he (although VERY briefly) held the World Championship earlier this year helped him earn some of my respect. WWE pushing him to that level in his Edge feud helped me finally notice how good he had gotten. He's had one of the best US Championship reigns in a long time now as well. Ziggler made a fan out of someone who hated him, and that's hardly an easy thing to do.

From reading this thread, I think the people calling Ziggler bland and saying he's not getting any better are just behind the curve, and will realize sometime next year what most people are already seeing, and that's that Dolph has taken his game to the next level in the last few months. His promos have improved remarkably, and he went from good in the ring to holy shit he's good, seemingly over night. He's got that "showstopper" attitude about him now, and he carries it off like a real guy rather than a dude playing a gimmick. He's just clicking now, the same way Cody Rhodes is.

The only way we're going to find out if he got what it takes to get the fans booing/cheering him, is to part ways with Vicki. Other then that I don't know, the heat is always on Vicki, not him. They have to cut Vicki, go or we just don't know what he got.
