Cheerleader Angle?

I'm sure everyone here knows that Ziggler used to be Nicky of the Spirit Squad.

I wonder why nobody has decided to use this angle.

For example, Ziggler could be cutting a promo on edge and his former Marriage to Vicky and then Edge could come out and say something like, "While we're discussing ancient history, didn't you use to be a male cheerleader?"

Of course Ziggler would deny it and then Edge could bust out a Video package featuring Dolph as Nicky.

That would be hilarious, IMO.

What are your thoughts?

Absolutely not. First of all, why would WWE want to point out the fact that one of their up and coming talents, who has a completely non-cheerleader look would ever have been a cheerleader in WWE? Especially considering he's now named Dolph Ziggler and not Nicky or more specifically, Nick Nameth (Cause he more or less simply went by his real name back in the days).

Besides, Dolph Ziggler doesn't really need to cut a promo on the past of Edge. Because currently Edge's past has little to do with their feud specifically, as much as it has to do with Vickie simply being around, which would've left numerous pointers to their former marriage already, but they didn't go that way, because it isn't needed.

WWE needs to focus on building Dolph like a legitimate threat to Edge's championship, and pointing out that he used to be a part of a 5 man faction that held the tag team championships only to be jobbed out on numerous occasions to D-Generation X, is not the way forward for Dolph Ziggler's reputation.
