I'm sad cause my friend is sad

A really good friend of mine recently moved to Blackpool as part of an exchange program. That alone sucked. we were just talking on MSN, and she was telling me that all the people there don't like her anymore, and the whole time all she could tell me was that she wanted to go home. And I wanted to help, but I didn't know what to say. And the hardest part is that I really like this girl, and with myself moving a few miles away, even if she did come home, I won't be around anymore to talk to her. Sucks, it does.

A year. She just left a few weeks ago. And I feel sorry for her. School just started last week, she had friends, got drunk, did somthing stupid, and lost those friends. Fucking High School Drama. She can't come home till Julyish, I think. But she was so upset today, I think she was looking for a loophole, or she might have just really complained. I don't know, but it sucks for her, and I feel like shit because of it.

Aww babes. You being upset won't help anything. *E-hug*

Surely there's a way for her to come home if she doesn't enjoy it.

She may have just had a bad start mate. And if she lost those friends over something stupid then they could not have been decent friends.

Hope things will turn around!

Thats exactly what I told her, but she was still upset, and that continued to make me upset.

I wonder how much a plane ticket from one end of the ocean to the other is...

Having been in this same situation that you are in Derf, the best thing that I could tell you to do is jsut be there for her as much as you can. The main thing people in those situations are looking for as far as I'm concerned is just someone to listen to them and offer a shoulder to cry on.

My sholder is way to far away from her head. But I am telling her I'll be there. I even put it in my MSN name with a little hug emotcon, which is a statement, as I almost always just have my name in my name.

When I was where you are, my shoulder came in the form of being there for her, even over the internet. Even if you're just a screen name, she knows you're on the other end, listening to every word she's saying.
