I'm getting SvR 2010 tomorrow. | Page 3 | WrestleZone Forums

I'm getting SvR 2010 tomorrow.

Well, I'm highly enjoying it. Possibly because I don't have time to sit and play it four hours on end so it wears off slower.

I'm going to retract my previous disagreement with Sam and side with him. After one day of playing SvR 2010, I'm pretty much done with it. The creation modes don't interest me, the entrances are awesome but after seeing them once each I get the point, and the actual gameplay is fun for about an hour or two before it gets old.

So yeah, sending it back to Gamefly today and getting Brutal Legend.

Pretty much. The PS2 version sucks. I need the money anyways, need blank CDs and etc. Back to Gamestop you go.

So far, I am very satisfied with the game as a whole. Two things I have noticed on the PS3 version:

1) Commentator's/Announcer's sometimes botch what they say. Like, "He just hit him" yet both are women.

2) When you get into the defensive stance, most of the time you go from a half kneel to standing up faster than the eye can see.

Apart from that, pretty solid. Enjoyed the Mickie James R2WM. Bring on Edge... in about four days.

Geez your having fun playing it and i can't play it at the moment..just remember JM nearly every main move of mine when i verse you is gonna be a variation of the back breaker, then i'd assume you'd then try to Mick Kick me then go for a pin.

I have modified Mickie's moveset to become more suited to what she is adepted to, unlike what you're gonna do with Cena by changing EVERY move into a backbreaker. I'm suprised you haven't jizzed all over your tv when Cena does a backbreaker move.

Anyway, Im heading to bed. The next 72 hours for me are going to be hectic, me need lots of sleep to get through it.

too much SvR 2010 has made you tired, and i will give you a listed of the modified Cena move set, just you wait.

Before I hit the hay, I must say J-Dogg... the reversal mechanics needs precision timing to execute. Oh, and there are a few tricks that I will know that you won't. Don't even think of asking about how I did that thing where you kick, I grab leg and I deliver a belly to belly suplex by simplying reversing than gearing the grapple button down...

Anywho... Mickie James will defeat John Cena come the epic battle. If she can defeat Legacy in a Gauntlet match on Legend difficulty, she defeat superman.

I plan on buying SvR 2010, but I want to know if I should trade in SvR 2009 or do you think I should keep it.

The gameplay is better than previous years. The roster is better than 2009. The extras make thing a bit better. For example I have several options for Mysterio for his colors. I could make factions or tag teams based on colors if I wanted. I have never traded in any of my wrestling games though. Who knows when I can play as Vader again? Or the Bushwhackers? Maybe Goldberg from way back? MNM? Some of these are one-shots thus far. I would keep it, but 2010 is definitely better.

The Orton Story line was cool. I went the way of helping Legacy.
I knew Legacy was going to turn on me once I became the ref. Some how I got pummeled and lost even though I was whooping there ass from the get go. The WM triple threat match was funny. They had MDM, Dusty and Undertaker as lumberjacks. I hit an RKO on all of em... Quite fun. Now I am working on the Cena and HHH one. I didn't do them as a team. I picked Cena first...

Does anyone have the Wii version? If so, is it any good? Reason being is I have a Wii but SvR'10 to me looks like a game that's better suited on PS3/360, can anyone confirm how it aside from the graphics?

Whoop-di-do.

Did they fix the submissions? They might have fixed it in 09 but in 08 none of the old submissions worked. It was fucked up.

I just played will and ty burna. Funny as hell, I hit Will with a chair so hard it disconnected him from the game. :lmao:

I can't wait to get this game. Short on cash, but I hope to get it in a few weeks. From what I've read it is awesome and I really look forward to the new RTWM and the create a storyline. I'm so jealous of everyone who has it, while I await the day I can get it.

Yes they did. Basically every submission move is now a "Struggle Submission" hold. However, they have assigned some submissions to be impact moves like the indian deathlock and the ankle lock... but the main submissions are struggle type.

Btw, Struggle Submission refers to when you can apply pressure to the opponent. You control how much, how long and when you rest.

EDIT: Create-a-finisher has become more useless with the amount of moves they injected into the system. There is like at least 8 different elbow drops from the top rope.

Have fun buddy, I gave up on Wrestling Games since after the 1st SVR. I will always hail the glory days of No Mercy and WM 2000.

Quite frankily, this is the best SmackDown game since Here Comes The Pain. Someone on the game team must have been a wrestling nerd because there isn't much to comment on in the negative apart from the occassional glitch here and there. It was finally a good investment from the wrestling series.

I created a finisher which is a kick in the balls followed by Trouble in Paradise.

I love this game, easily the best SvR since HCTP.
