If you had to pick one.....

CyberPunk

The Show himself
Which one guy would you bring in right now to make RAW more interesting? I've enjoyed WWE programming through most of this year but last couple RAWs were pretty meh to me. And what I've seen is we can't expect much right now. I just couldn't get into this Nikki and Brie thing, Mark Henry vs Rusev has not been as interesting as Rusev vs Swagger was, Rollins and Reigns seem to tread water while authority continues doing the same thing over and over again. Why the hell are Orton and Jericho feuding? I don't know. Wyatt going after Big Show? Another program I am not really interested, especially because the SES vs Show program is still pretty fresh on my mind. Miz and Ziggler has turned into a showdown of stunt doubles (that's the best they can do with Damien Sandow?). What are the tag champs up to? Oh yes, they are feuding with Goldstar (or Stardust). The only program which has remotely interested me is Cena vs Lesnar (primarily because of Heyman's mic prowess) and AJ vs Paige (two talented Divas going at it though they are trying to make it into a clustermess). So my question is, which superstar if and when comes back can bring some entertainment with him, or at least force the 'creative' to write a bit better?

And by bringing in I am not looking into hypotheticals like Kurt Angle or Sting, but someone who can actually come back and fit into a story almost instantly. Few come to my mind:

Dean Ambrose: He has a ready made feud with Rollins. It almost seems like Rollins has done little since Ambrose went away. With Rollins winning the first round of the feud, it will be interesting to see how this one goes down. He might be coming back anytime now so looking forward to it.

Daniel Bryan: He might still be 3 to 4 months away from returning but if he was healthy, I'd bring back him almost immediately. Again, a feud is ready for him and he can slide in easily. I am not suggesting he should be brought back early (I wish him to come back after he's healed completely) but there's always that probability.

Christian: I read somewhere that he is fit and ready to go. It's a shame that he cannot keep himself fit long enough because overall I like him. I don't think that he has much to offer at this point but I think he can go in IC or US title division and do something there.

Bad News Barrett: This guy just can't catch a break! Anyway, if and when he's fit, he'll fit right into the IC title scene because he never lost it. He just needs to be injury free for an extended period.

RVD: Doesn't matter; I just ran out of names I can think of. He hasn't done anything interesting since coming back and I don't expect anything now.

And just for the fun of it, CM Punk so that Punk haters can come and bash this thread! :p

Anyway, if you had the chance, which one out of these would you want to return ASAP? You can add one of yours but try and refrain from hypotheticals (like mine).

I wouldn't pick anyone really, I would save them for the run up to Wrestlemania.

Your list is interesting because it includes a group of guys that are all out for known reasons. Ambrose is shooting a movie, Bryan and Barrett are both injured. We know Barrett will be back, Bryan is still a question mark and could be gone for a long time. Christian is also injury prone and hasn't been near a ring in awhile, so don't know what feud he go straight into. RVD has come to the end of his contract and is taking time off.

The WWE has been hit hard lately with injuries, Bryan, Barrett and Ryback (try to control the laughter). These injuries have taken out their top guy, the IC champion and a established member of a tag team, in a division that doesn't have many to start off with.

You have a champion that doesn't show up for every show or even wrestle all that much, and the Bella twins have been in the spotlight for reasons only known the the WWE. When Ambrose comes back, hopefully this weekend things should pick up, although that will leave Reigns out in the cold as Ambrose will pick right back up with Rollins.

I do agree that the Authority storyline has pretty much played out its run with me anyway. I'm tired of seeing HHH, Kane, Orton spend 20 minutes at the opening of each RAW wasting my time. Kane is really getting on my nerves lately, with his interfering in every match he can, and well Orton, he's doing nothing and needs time off.

I always find this time of the year, with Christmas coming and the run up to Mania starting it goes in waves. After January it should get better, if it doesn't then I don't hold out much hope for next year's Wrestlemania. The way thing's look right now, it might be dire.

First of all, they need to make their product better. Not just RAW.

My pick will always be Christian. Christian is a main event talent whose run at the top was sabotaged by Vince McMahon because Christian was more over than Randy Orton, who Vince wanted as the "franchise" of SmackDown in 2011. Rather than push Christian as a main event talent, Vince turned him heel and jobbed him out to Randy Orton for six months, sabotaging his career. The fact that he's injury-prone added to the problem, but if not for Vince, Christian would have at least one or two years as one of the top guys in the company, instead of as Randy Orton's personal enhancement talent.

All of those guy will be back in a couple of months anyway (apart from Bryan that who knows when he will back and Christian that will probably break in two if he takes another bump)

If we go outside of wwe "superstars" and absentees, I'd so would want to watch Chuck Taylor from Chikara in wwe if pushed well, he's very good in ring and cuts amazing promo. He would so lighten up the midcarder scene.

At this point in time, I think Daniel Bryan would be the best choice simply because of how over he is.

Ambrose is over, I've been a big fan of the guy since he debuted and fans are behind him, but neither he or Roman Reigns are anywhere close to the levels of popularity Daniel Bryan has seen in the past year or so. He's scheduled to return, according to reports, on the post NOC Raw and there's a strong chance that he'll pop up during Reigns vs. Rollins at NOC as well to cost Rollins. It'll be great to see him back, having a talented guy back on the roster after being "injured" is never a bad thing.

Christian's in-ring career may well be over as he's gotten "injury prone" within the past year or two. He was out much of last year due to shoulder issues and he's suffered two concussions within a 6 month span of one another, which is something that greatly concerns WWE officials. There were reports earlier this year that once Christian's current deal expires, towards the end of this year I believe, that he'll retire from in-ring competition. We've seen him as part of ppv kickoff shows and I think he'll stay with WWE in a non-wrestling capacity. Besides, Christian turns 41 at the end of November, so his days of being an upper mid-card to occasional main event player are probably done.

I'd love to see Barrett return, but who knows how his shoulder injury will impact his career in the eyes of management. This is twice Barrett has suffered significant injury that's put him out for months in the middle of a big push. Barrett's only 34 years old, yet I get the notion that he'd have been a lot further along in his career, in terms of being a star, had he not been sidelined by injury. As a result, WWE might not push him immediately upon his return and may start from scratch. With promising stars in NXT that are or close to being roster ready, an injury like Barrett's could cost him his spot because the show must go on. I'd love to see him back, but I don't think he'd make much of an impact at this time because he's got no momentum.

Rob Van Dam is officially on hiatus and I'm guessing he won't be back until after the first of next year. Even so, RVD is a non-factor when it comes to general interest and ratings. He can still go in the ring and put on entertaining matches, but the deal RVD has all but insures that his primary purpose is to put over younger talent. RVD turns 44 around mid December, so his days of being a headliner are almost certainly over. Like Jericho, RVD comes back because he's able to bank some good money for limited work and to work with younger guys on the roster.

If Bryan's popularity and connection with fans remains, and I don't necessarily see any reason why it wouldn't because there hasn't been a rising star come anywhere close to his level of popularity since he's been out, then he'd best choice. If he's given a strong push upon his return, I think people will be interested. PWTorch.com put out a report several months back showing that Bryan's absence has made a dent in WWE's ratings and that he's really the first guy to come along in years that's had any real impact on the numbers. While nothing can ultimately keep WWE from doing subpar numbers against Monday Night Football, Bryan's presence can cushion the blow. Bryan's also in good standing with WWE management as his picture is now part of the opening credits for Raw & SD!, you can see him posing in a picture with a little kid smiling like a possum on meth.

There are some reports that Bryan MIGHT be back by Survivor Series. He's not going to have to undergo another surgery as he's now making the sort of progress in his rehabilitation that doctors were initially expecting. He's regaining strength in his arm, yet WWE officials, reportedly, don't want to rush him back before he's really ready. If things keep progressing well, I'd say Bryan will be back in time for the Royal Rumble.

Hard to pick just one.

Due to how much more over he is than anybody else, I would say Daniel Bryan would be the guy to make things interesting again, I mean at least we get reactions out of the crowd with him. His in-ring style will surely change a bit after this neck issue. Unless he wants to retire like Edge.

Barret, sadly, I think his ship has sailed. Injuries after injuries in important moments and he is 34 years old and there is absolutely no chance for him to get the title or in main event feuds with Ambrose/Rollins/Reigns, the ever present John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Brock Lesnar. I just dont see Barret being anything more than an entertaining mid-carder. Do I see him as a main-eventer? Damn right. Dude can have great matches, has a good moveset, he is big, athletic, has a good voice, has good mic skills.
I hope I'm wrong with the ship has sailed comment, but it's hard looking at the facts.

Ambrose is the new promo guy in the WWE ( as a wrestler, we can't count Paul Heyman in this category ) now that CM Punk is no more. He is what WWE needs right now as there arent many wrestlers atm who are in main-event level matches that cut promos so good.

Lasty, we can't void it, I hate it that it's alwyas brought up and useless threads that appear out of nowhere but you have to mention CM Punk. The guy is just miles ahead of everybody else when it comes to mic skills. Summer of Punk and onwards, he was one of the few superstars that I watched RAW for. Daniel Bryan being amongst those few. Every RAW I'd tune in - and by tune in I mean torrent RAW the day after it aired - and was waiting for his segment. With so many guys out, I think it's pretty clear that the product as a whole is missing CM Punk.

Wheel's gonna keep on spinning but you can't deny the mediocrity of the product. To me that's what's about. What is making me want to watch RAW? Before CM Punk left, it was him and DB. Now that DB is still out and Punk is gone. Dean Ambrose is the guy that makes me want to watch RAW to see what he does.

Cesaro might be one of the guys if they turn him face, something the whole crowd wants him to be. This heel Cesaro has been a bust ever since he turned. And if they actually let him be himself. Cause I've seen him in panels and interviews and the guy isnt as boring on the mic as he is right now. And for fuck sake change his god damn theme. It makes me puke just hearing it. You knew Mcintyre was irrelevant but when he came out to his former theme, for a few secs you thought shit's gonna get real nasty real quick.

Ah yeah. Bring back ( at a later date at least ) freaking Drew Mcintyre. Let the guy be himself. You all remember the Drew from Elimination Chamber? I want that Drew and with his theme. U got gold right there. You just have to give him a better angle. Not freaking humiliating Teddy Long.

Ambrose and Bryan being back, completely changes up the whole picture. Right now Cena and Reigns are basically holding it down for the good guys, there needs to be some help for the faces, seems like 3/4ths of the main eventers are heels now.
They should even think about bringing back Bad News Barrett as a full blown face, its only a matter of time before he's one anyways. The crowd likes him, when he comes out everyone sits in silence, watching him, waiting for him to say he's got some bad news.
I'd like to see the Peep show again, I saw that they're having one before NoC with Jericho, so hopefully we will see it on raw again, Christian has always been pretty good on the mic, love it when he talks about his "peeps"

Wade Barrett. Not even a damn question. Barrett was over as hell, bringing some prestige back to the IC title, even poked his head into the main event scene for a while with his very short stint as a barber. Barrett still has promise, still has a shot, still has my heart. As soon as he comes back, there's no question he's got to take the ball and run with it, especially considering the giant sucking sound that is the void at the very top.
