If WCW 1999 had a Super Smash Bros.-like game, imagine the stages for each wrestler.

Taking into account that 1999 was the year that Nintendo had made the very first Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo 64 game console in early 1999. However, I can smell the feeling that WCW Nitro and WCW/nWo Thunder game players would've eventually embraced another WCW game if the gameplay mechanics continued to function like WCW/nWo Revenge but each wrestler can have their own default stages based on their respective associated backgrounds.

And let's start off with Team WCW:
-1) Goldberg: Georgia Dome (home of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and was an early 90s NFL player)
-2) Sting: Arena Rafters (1996-97 gimmick)
-3) DDP: Jersey Shore (based in his hometown of New Jersey)
-4) Randy Savage: Parking Lot (w/Team Madness limousine)
-5) Booker T: 110th Street in Harlem, New York
-6) Rick Steiner: Michigan State University
-7) Bret Hart: Stu Hart's Dungeon
-8) Buff Bagwell: Strip Club
-9) Konnan: Streets of Miami, Florida
-10) Ernest Miller: Karate Training Room
-11) Curt Hennig: Robbinsdale, Minnesota
-12) Barry Windham: Sweetwater, Texas
-13) Bobby Duncum, Jr.: Sweetwater, Texas (same stage shared with Windham)
-14) Kenny Kaos: Nuclear Power Plant
-15) Norman Smiley: Liverpool, England
-16) Wrath: Three Mile Island
-17) Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker: WCW Power Plant Training Room
-18) Bobby Eaton: England Throne Room (a reference to Eaton's old Blue Bloods tag team connection with Steven Regal).
-19) Bobby Blaze: N/A

nWo B-Teamer Backups:
-20) Horace Hogan: Tampa, Florida
-21) Scott Norton: Japan
-22) Stevie Ray: Houston, Texas
-23) Eric Bischoff: Time Warner Corporate Office Rooftops

nWo Wolfpac Elite:
-24) Hollywood Hogan: Hollywood Walk of Fame (reference to his Hollywood Hogan gimmick)
-25) Scott Steiner: Shoney's Restaurant (reference to his recent job
-26) Kevin Nash: Nightclub (reference to his past work as a bouncer)
-27) Lex Luger: Gymnasium (reference to his former physique in his wrestling career)
-28) Scott Hall: Memorial Day 1996 (reference to his epic WCW return debut)
-29) Disco Inferno: Ballroom (reference to his gimmick and the general retro disco atmosphere dance setting)
-30) Wolfpac Sting: California Surf Sea (partial reference to his recent stint in nWo Wolfpac and partial reference to his old Surfer Sting attitude from '87-'96)

The Four Horsemen:
-31) Ric Flair: Hotel Room in North Carolina
-32) Arn Anderson: Hotel Room in North Carolina (same stage shared with Ric Flair)
-33) Chris Benoit: Calgary Stampede Wrestling Arena
-34) Dean Malenko: Farm Ranch
-35) Steve "Mongo" McMichael: Soldier Field (home of the NFL's Chicago Bears and a nod to Mongo's glorious NFL career as a 1985 Super Bowl champion)

WCW Cruiserweight Division:
-36) Rey Mysterio: Tijuana, Mexico
-37) Billy Kidman: Las Vegas Desert (reference to the segment where The Filthy Animals were responsible for literally burying Ric Flair in a desert)
-38) Eddie Guerrero: El Paso, Texas
-39) Juventud Guerrera: Mexico City
-40) Chris Jericho: 21st Century
-41) Psychosis: Tijuana, Mexico (same stage shared with Rey Mysterio)
-42) Chavo Guerrero: El Paso, Texas (same stage shared with Eddie Guerrero)
-43) La Parka: Mexico City (same stage shared with Juventud Guerrera)
-44) Alex Wright: Berlin, Germany
-45) Kaz Hayashi: Tokyo, Japan
-46) Lash LeRoux: New Orleans
-47) Lizmark: Mexico
-48) Prince Iaukea: Honolulu, Hawaii

WCW Hardcore Division
-49) Raven: Hades
-50) Perry Saturn: Bingo Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (a nod to Saturn's stint with ECW)
-51) Bam Bam Bigelow: Jersey Shore (same stage shared with DDP)
-52) Chris Kanyon: Jersey Shore (same stage shared with DDP)
-53) Gene Okerlund: WCW Production Truck (small nod to his interviewer role)
-54) Sonny Onoo: Karate Dojo
-55) Doug Dillinger: Security Prison Cells
-56) Jimmy Hart: Memphis

But in Training Mode, some stages will take place with a blue sky background with white clouds as if it's daytime for the faces and others will take place with a black sky background with red clouds like it's night time for heels.

The likes of Goldberg, Sting, Booker, Bret, Buff, Konnan, Kaos, Smiley, Wrath, Buddy Lee Parker, Blaze, Hogan, Luger, Hall, Inferno, Wolfpac Sting, Benoit, Malenko, Mysterio, Kidman, Eddie, Juvi, Chavo, Hayashi, LeRoux, Saturn, Okerlund and Dillinger will each have their respective stages each depict a blue sky background with white clouds simmering in occasionally in Training Mode, ...
,...while the likes of DDP, Savage, Rick Steiner, Miller, Hennig, Windham, Duncum, Eaton, Horace, Norton, Stevie Ray, Bischoff, Scott Steiner, Nash, Flair, Arn, Mongo, Jericho, Psychosis, La Parka, Wright, Lizmark, Iaukea, Raven, Bam Bam, Kanyon, Onoo and Jimmy Hart will all have their respective stages each depict pitch black sky backgrounds with red clouds simmering in sometimes in Training Mode.

Wow! Imagine "Break The Targets" and "Board The Platforms" playing as Hollywood Hogan, Sting, Randy Savage or Scott Steiner, or even The Outsiders. Now that'd be an awesome way to make both longtime WCW/nWo fans and hardcore Nintendo gamers happy, similar to MK vs DC, except it's WCW/nWo still using WCW/nWo Revenge gameplay mechanics with SSB-like stages.
