If the original wrestler hadn't existed...

Pre-Show Stalwart
Which past or present stars do you think would have been most suited to the following gimmicks?

The Game
The Undertaker
The Legend Killer
The Ultimate Opportunist
Kane
The Million Dollar Man
The Heart Break Kid
The Excellence Of Exceutution
The Rabid Wolverine
MVP

For Me I'd probably go with the following:

The Game - Chris Jericho
The Undertaker - Moredici
The Legend Killer - Ted Dibiase Jr
The Ultimate Opportunist - The Miz
Kane - Festus
The Million Dollar Man- JBL
The HeartBreak Kid- John Morrison
The Excellence Of Exceutution- Jack Swagger
The Rabid Wolverine- Jamie Noble
MVP- Shelton Benjamin

It might be the fact that it's a little too late at night and it's been a long day but for god sakes this thread is fucking terrible. So you're taking the nicknames or just names of random of popular wrestlers and slapping them onto other wrestlers? What the fuck is the point of that? At least you could give some sort of explanation or motivation as to why you would say that Jamie Noble is the rabid wolverine because that logic just fucking fails. For the sake of everyone on the WZ forums, please do not ever start a meaningless thread like this again this is purely spam.

You fail. Good day sir...

And this is exactly why I take long sabbaticals from these forums... because of responses like these. Especially with such a "thy art holier than thou" attitude.

I actually like the idea of this topic, but here's the thing; I'm not exactly sure how I feel about other wrestler's filling characters. What makes a character is how that wrestler interprets the gimmick. No two wrestlers would ever portray the same gimmick the exact same way. I remember on a thread earlier, that there was a discussion on what if Owen Hart had become "The Game" character, should he have stayed alive if he were slated to. And quite frankly, I couldn't picture how Owen would portray it. He may portray the same gimmick that Triple H, or he might have taken it a completely different direction. Hell, he may have come to the ring passing out board games and referencing Parker Brothers in his interviews. Who knows how Owen would have portrayed a gimmick?

In short, the thread is interesting.... But at least from my perspective, I can't see trying it.

Hey, thread idea, but there are a few issues with it we could probably straighten out. Are we talking about the gimmicks, or the nicknames themselves? Because The Undertaker isnt really a nickname like "Cerebral Assassin", its Mark Calaway's actual ring name. Same with MVP.

In the same fashion, "Kane" isnt really a gimmick. Sorry to nitpick, heres my list:

The Game - I just lost it.
The Undertaker - Goldust (he was creepy, what can i say)
The Legend Killer - Jericho (after this years mania)
The Ultimate Opportunist - (Shelton Benjamin (something about snatching gold, too lazy to think about it)
Kane - Hurricane Helms (both wore masks, both used the chokeslam, both are boring to watch)
The Million Dollar Man - The Miz (rich, famous, douchebag)
The Heart Break Kid - John Morrison (he's like Shawn Michaels I guess)
The Excellence Of Execution - CM Punk (I don't know, something about his Muay Thai)
The Rabid Wolverine - Orton (he sort of salivates after an RKO)
MVP - Cena (he used to wear basketball jerseys right?)

 No a gimmick isn't a nickname. And Jamie Noble is one of the most underrated superstars on the roster right now. If you seen his ROH days you'd agree with me that he'd be the best suit for the rabid wolverine gimmick. You obivously must not know what a gimmick is. and obiviously don't know wtf your talking about. your the one that fails "sir" :fu2:
But i'll explain it . The idea of the thread was to pick what superstar you think
would be best be suited for gimmicks had the supserstars that orignially had the gimmick did not exsist. Ex: The Game is of course Triple H had he not existed i think Jericho would be best suited for the gimmick.

I think the point of this thread was to completely forget about the people who have these names, so dont compare Triple H - The Game to anyone else, if he never existed, who on the Roster could you see having the nickname attached? Who could be The Game?

Thats how i understood it anyways. Interesting concept.

I do find it strange you allowed some new gimmicks in the list. Why MVP instead of the Rock? Which present superstar would I have be MVP? Well... MVP...since he is the present young star in the role. Not only that he made that gimmick work, it was a terrible gimmick and honestly I hated him for a long time but he really has gotten a lot better and now I have a lot of respect for him... anyway

Before starting this it's confusing how you use titles and names... Undertaker and the Game... well the Game is HHH, who has been through a lot of different changes over time, the Game is just part of his overall character growth over many years. Oh well.

the Game - John Cena
Dead Man (originally Undertaker) - Festus
The Legend Killer - Chris Jericho
The Ultimate Opportunist - John Morrison
Monster (originally Kane)- Festus, Khali, does it really matter? They wear a mask.
The Million Dollar Man - Ted DiBiase (just an easy pick)
The Heart Break Kid - Jeff Hardy (lets be honest, the ladies are the ones that back him the most)
The Excellence Of Execution - D.H. Smith
The Rabid Wolverine - Tyson Kidd
