If Kurt Angle had never left the WWE...

Where would Kurt Angle be if he had never left the WWE? Just before signing with TNA, Angle had been drafted to the ECW roster. How long would he have stayed there for nobody knows. However, would Angle have remained a main eventer, moved up, moved down, became a tag team wrestler, leader of a faction, etc?

well, according to the article on the front page of wrestlezone.com, Kurt Angle just spewed a bunch of inaccurate shit out of his mouth when he left the WWE. HE didn't want to go to rehab. The WWE gave him the opportunity to go to rehab to get off of the drugs he was taking, but he decided to abandon the WWE. He proved that he was too big for his britches and slandered the WWE because he was pissed he couldn't get his way. I am pretty sure that if he would have put his ego aside, he would still be in the main event picture and he would probably be in the title picture. He would probably be in Edge's storyline instead of Big Show.

Honestly probably dead. He was very reluctant to go to rehab and as stories that were out back then is he was on a death watch after Eddie died.

If he didn't go to TNA its very likely he could be dead. My money would be on the long shot that he would of been the first ever reigning champion to pass away. Even if it was reigning as the ECW champion. Chris Benoit was 24 hours away from accomplishing that title.

Is it just me or did anyone think that Kurt Angle chanting ECW over and over again in the locker room just look corny as hell.

i'd have to agree, he'd be dead. i'm surprised he's not already to be completely honest with you. i don't know how he does what he does. i don't know how he can. and i sure as hell don't know why he still does. he's lost his family, and sooner than later he'll lose his life. what needs to happen to this man for him to take his head out of his ass? don't get me wrong, i love watching kurt perform. but it also makes me ache. i seriously hope nothing bad happens to kurt. as much as the wrestling world needs him, he's no good to anybody dead.

if kurt never left yeah he would probably be dead. you could tell towards the end of his wwe run that something just wasn't right. he went from a funny cocky heel in early wwe days to just a guy that would scream and yell and go nuts all time time and don't think it was a gimmick just him. me and my friends would laugh and say angle needs to lay off juice.

Ok? What if he wasn't dead? Where would Kurt Angle be doing in WWE if he never left?

My guess is that Lashley would've stayed on the SD brand and Kurt Angle would've been given the push because Lashley would've never been on ECW. He would've won the elimination chamber and started a feud with Big Show, Test, RVD and long time rival, Hardcore Holly. Or maybe he would've been ECW champion going into the chamber and then dropping the title to Lashley then taking some necessary time off. I don't know, what if scenarios can drive fans crazy as to "what could've happened" if so and so never left or passed away.

I hope Kurt doesn't go back to WWE. WWE needs to be creating new stars and main eventers It seems like every 7 years and then 3 years after that , new superstars debut and they turn out to be WWE's main superstars to build the company around.

1995-96: HHH, Rock, Austin, Bradshaw, Foley
1998: Edge, Christian, Hardys.

2002: Cena, Batista and Orton
2005-06: Morrison, Kennedy, MVP, Punk, Lashley

Simple really. Kurt Angle would be dead. Working the schedule he was working, the pain hes going through, and the drugs he was on. He'd either kill himself, overdose, or go on a mass killing spree then kill himself. Theres only so much the human body can take, and Kurts was dying due to exhaustion. So, he would be dead if he never left for WWE. Theres talks of bring him back, he will probably take a relaxed schedule, like The Undertaker has if hes brought back. To be on the safe side.

As for main event or not? Of course he would. Kurts the best theres ever been. His promos have gotten amazing, his wrestling is amazing. Without Kurt Angle, tna is an indy wrestling promotion, that gets televised. I never watched TNA until Kurt joined their show. Quite honestly, I never would, but I sit through 2 druping hours, to see Kurt Angle get 15-30 mins on tv weekly. Because hes that dang good.

If Kurt were still in WWE and had never left he would most definatley still be in the main event picture. He wouldn't have stayed on ECW too long unless that was where he was going to take a reduced schedule. It's hard to speculate exatly where he would be because it could have gone either way, dead or alive. He would have bailed eventually at some stage though wether it be a year or 2 later, he still would have left.

I for one am torn between him coming back to WWE or not. On the one hand I would love to see him back on the main stage doing what he does best! But on the other I would hate to see him get seriously injured or worse...

I think if WWE can give him a decent reduced schedule or something then I would love to see him back. How bout a GM role that wrestles here in there to further storylines, he would be gold as a heel GM or something like that...

Kurt needs to take some time off for himself to find what he wants in life. he use to love his family so much this is not like him. Kurt needs to settle things with his own family before he comes back to wrestling. then i think your right he would have been a big part of Lashely and his push. Kurt leaving was best for him at the time. i know he regrets what he said but will Vince give him that secend chance. he should Jeff has had 3 now.

If you make Vince money, then he'll be easier to forgive you. If Kurt hadn't left when he did, then a few things could have happened...

1. Angle continues to be great
Needless to say, Angle is simply one of the better overall wrestlers in the biz today. If he stayed in the WWE, he STILL would be on top of his game and STILL would be putting people over, one story at a time. It takes a special person to do that.

2. Angle would lose his smile
It's also possible that Angle would have been so burned out that he'd take a sabbatical that would have lasted maybe until this year. Many know that Angle was a machine and he was slowly breaking down. So many injuries would add up and eventually, he'd short circuit and not want to do it anymore. He was injured quite a bit and simply to put your body through that punishment would be too much for anyone, especially Angle, who wants to be at the top of his game in EVERY match.

3. Angle dies
This is a morbid thought, but with the injuries, marital problems, and drug use, it's even possible that Angle would have died eventually. It's taken out some of the best in wrestling. Hennig, Rude, Boss Man, Test, Pillman, Gurrerro, Benoit, and it could have very well caught up with Angle, too. It would have been a tragic event to say the least, but it would have been inevitable if he kept going at the pace he was and the path he was going toward.

To me, those are the 'What if's' for Angle if he would have stayed with the WWE. Either way, it may not have worked out well for the Olympic Hero.

i think the gm role and wrestling here and there bit is a great idea! i just can't shake my worries for kurt. if/when something goes terribly wrong with him (you know exactly what i mean...i hope), i'll probably have the same reaction as to when eddie died. when my old man told me about that as soon as i woke up one morning, all of my happiness and energy was shreaded for about a month. i'm passionate, what can i say? if the same happend to kurt, i'd probably go through the same phase. don't die on us kurt! we need you!

Even though he turned out to have a drug problem or something, I really wish he didn't go. He put on some really good matches, Angle vs Michaels, Angle vs Eddie Guerrero, etc. He's a good wrestler and way better than TNA. Also, he was entertaining as SD GM. I think if he didn't screw everything up in the WWE, he would've been drafted to either Raw or SD, and of course feud with a world champion. Or, he would've became ECW champion first, then go to another show. Either way, he'd be going after/having world championship gold.

the fact is if Kurt stayed in the WWE, he would probably have died

Kurt has said numerous times that MCMahon wanted him to rehab on the road, and on the wwe's side they said Angle refused, so either way Angle is an addict runing wild in the WWE it would have caused major contraversy unless he went to rehab which either side has stated was never gonna happen.

Angle would never have been world champion before his demise:

Kurt Angle would have been too much of a risk to even carry the company, it has been said numerous times that Angle wanted to carry the company before he left and I think if he stayed it would never of happened, the wwe felt that he was too injury prone at the time and Big Show was their choice in ECW to carry the ball because Angle wasnt healthy enough.

I've been thinking with all these What if insert dead wrestler never died or What if insert live wrestler died....im going to change it just a little here....My Question is What if Kurt Angle never Left WWE?
I mean would he still have a wife?
Would the workload and drugs killed him?
Would we have more classic Angle matches?
How Many Titles would he win?
How would TNA be affected?

I honestly would of loved for him to stay but TNA was a blessing in disguise...i mean it still gave him wrestling and his fans a place to watch him....but also a lighter schedule. But it also did kill a marriage too in the process. And for TNA it also gave them a bigger audience.

his wife is effing billy gun!!!! hes a great wrestler and i hope he does end back with wwe. Angle V.S Taker Wrestlemania 26... i would love to c him play a idiot like he did when he arrived the 1st time to wwe. I could c him and jericho having a great feud..... maybe even Orton!

Things would have been different...Angle could have possibly died or became burned out with what was happening in the WWE. he was injured, addicted to painkillers, and heading toward a slippery slope.

But. Somebody already beat you to this thread, and someone already beat me in telling you so.

Having Kurt in the WWE would have been great again, but he has moved on from it. He is in TNA, and in TNA he could do pretty much everything the WWE didn't let him do. I haven't heard of any drug regulations in TNA or any sort of policy against drugs so he could do any thing he wants. Its too bad he divorced his wife. I saw it coming though.
Right now, if he was still in the WWE, he would have been forced to clean himself up and to wrestle beyond his normal workload and he would now be unfortunately dead.

i think he wudda made ECW a hell of a lot better for a time. He was a fucking savage there b4 he left. TNA wudnt been worth anything had he not gone over. Eventually he prolly wudda burned out or overdosed or something if he stayed tho, but he wudda been entertaining as hell if he stayed. TNA were a blessing to each other. They basically saved each others lives. lolz

I’m not sure if it would have been better or worse for Kurt himself, but he would have certainly become ECW Champion, maybe even twice. He was being booked as the Wrestling Machine in ECW and I think things with the ECW Originals would have played out a little better. Who knows, Kurt could have led the New Breed to victory at WrestleMania 23 or even face Umaga as Donald’s representative or even face Lashley as McMahon’s representative. I think he would have eventually gone to TNA anyway.

He would have left the WWE like Austin taking his ball and going home. I mean if Angle had stayed, he would have become lame as we had seen all we could see from Angle. We saw all the "Dream" matches and big time matches, plus he was on his way down. The only thing we would know is that if his wife was to cheat on him, it wouldn't have been a minor league wrestler from TNA. Maybe Edge would of screwed Karen and would have that great angle.
