Forgive me if this has been done before, but am I the only one Who thinks TNA should start taping shows other than their ppvs In differnt arenas ?

1. I think that it would get them exposed to more fans.

2. It would give parents a cheaper alternitive to take there kids to see wrestling.

3. I just think the Impact zone is just to Close quatered and Id like to see the whole setup more spread out a bit .

4. It sounds good but I dont know if there would be any flaws

what are your thoughts ?

I completely disagree and this has been done to death. The reason it works the way it does is, because TNA has built up a loyal audience in the Impact Zone. You wouldn't have that same audience if you had Impact in a different arena each week. Besides that having TNA in the same studios cuts costs tremendously. It's much cheaper to run TNA Impact there every week than to always have it on the road. As if all that weren't evidence enough on top of that, one of TNA's biggest attractions to many wrestlers on the roster, is there lighter road schedule. You wouldn't have that same lighter schedule by taking TNA on the road each week. TNA is just fine where it's at. If they were to start to get bigger and be able to legitimately compete with the WWE than they could move Impact around, but as for now there's nothing wrong with the Impact Zone.

well I agree n disagree...lik it was jus mentioned yes dey hav formed a loyal audience wit taping in da impact zone but at da same tyme if dey tape it in diff places than dey could expand there followin a lil more...even if dey had mayb 2 or 3 otha main places it wud b gud plus its cheaper so dey wud hav a lot of fans come especially during these tough economic tymes where fans want qualitiy wrestlin n great prices

First off, seriously shadowlaw85 why do you have to intentionally spell words incorrectly? I don't normal rip on people here but really that's just stupid. Not only is it dumb but it makes it even harder to read for pretty much any living being.

Onto the subject at hand. It just doesn't make sense for TNA to start traveling now. Even PPVs are trouble. TNA has trouble selling out shows in arenas that hold 1500 people, at least in Orlando they can keep the place full (though I do agree it doesn't look that great and does look small scale). It would cost them way to much money to travel and tape a show than it does to hold it in Orlando.

I don't know about exposing it to new fans. I would guess that people who guy a ticket are very likely already TNA fans, I don't think many people would buy a ticket just to check it out. As for a cheaper alternative for parents...I'm guessing that the kids are saying "I want to see WWE, I want to see Cean and Hardy and Mysterio and Edge etc..." not "I want to see wrestling" so I don't think that would be a draw. Sure some parents might opt for the "cheaper wrestling" but I don't think that's a risk TNA needs to take.

Basically it just boils down to money. People don't have it to spend now, companies are cutting back. It's just not the right time to start this.

I agree because it is only the natural evolution in the way things need to go. I think it will happen in time as TNA grows more as a company and their fan base grows. I see this happening in lets say 4 or 5 years.

I aslo think that Impact! really needs to be a live show for that you dont know whats going to happen next atmosphere but like I said before this is something that will happen in time. I give this 2 to 3 years.

You gotta have patience in order to start something new as I believe that TNA ain't really ready to tape outside of Orlando each week & if they do that then it sort of takes away the attraction of a lighter work schedule. With the economy the way it is today, it would be a stupid idea to start taping outside of Orlando cause of how much more production & all that other stuff is gonna cost them in the long run & like others have said in this thread, they don't have much more of a loyal fan base. I say that we give all of this to develop within maybe 6-7 years tops.

I quickly glanced over the responses and didn't see the letters "ECW" anywhere, so I'm going to compare the two. RAW also was initially intended to be a small venue show, and then because of Nitro, they changed it (if I remember correctly...that may not have been the reason they changed it, but it was intended to be a small venue deal in NYC). The reason they wanted to do that is because it's in a populous city, and you're going to create a loyal fanbase. ECW had Philly, RAW had NYC, TNA has Disney, which is pretty much a small city. Of the three however, I think TNA, by remaining in the Impact Zone, has the upper hand. You have the people in the area who become the loyal fans and go, but you also have tourists, and just as wrestling travelled with circuses, they're paired up with a place pretty much like a circus. You have the loyal fans and then people from all over the country who can go and try something new with the kids, and then the kids go home and possibly talks about it. NYC obviously has a lot of tourists also, but I don't think an 8:00 wrestling show is what everyone that goes to NYC has in mind. Wrestling fits in an amusement park, and I think by staying in the Impact Zone it takes the best of both worlds, the loyal ECW fans, but still some national exposure by having the tourists come to them.

They don't need to start doing that but if they do it will probably be in the next few years or so. I've gotten used to them having Impact in the zone in Orlando and their fans are loyal and I believe that is TNA's main thing. The wrestlers don't have to travel as much because that is the main reason most of the WWE wrestlers came to TNA.

i'm very patient with that, they are saving money, and it would be a great way to expand in the future, they dont need it right now

Well, I also agree and disagree. The thing is, it is cheaper staying there, which is a plus. The wrestlers like the lighter road schedule, which is also a plus. As far as the loyal audience, while thats true, dont you think that others able to see the product live will then make them loyal fans? Saying they should stay there because of the loyal fans is basically saying, we know they will love it here, lets not take a chance on seeing how many people wanna see us outside the Impact Zone. Yes, they do PPVs outside Universal sometimes, but I dont believe it's enough. There is a reason WWE does road shows, besides income, more people get to feel the rush of being at a good show, and makes them become bigger fans. You have to spend money to grow, TNA is stuck in one spot, until they roll the dice and take a chance, and take the show on the road more often, they wont grow. Bash WWE all you want, say they work the wrestlers too much, but if WWE stopped going on the road, and stayed in one spot, then TNA will start to be ratings competition, LOL!!!!

The answer isn't going to different venues and doing their TV show. They have house shows and that's all they need for now. They need ADVERTISING and EXPOSURE. Right now, TNA Wrestling is being buried by the UFC on Spike TV. Spike is where wrestling shows go to die. TNA should go to a network that would soley focus on their product. My Network TV has completely dedicated itself to having Smackdown on their network. It's the flagship show on their network. TNA needs to be on a network that has a wide audience, a loyal fan base and a target demographic. I say TNT, which was an established wrestling network and builds itself on drama. Spike would be great for TNA, if UFC wasn't their main focus. It's like having WCW and WWE on the same network. They're in competition with each other and the audience would rather see legit fights than mediocre wrestlers from years past.

TNA: SPREAD THE WORD

I'm going to have to disagree with you on the Spike deal. I think having UFC on the channel helps them, by attracting the UFC fans. They could hype up TNA more, definitely, but I don't think the actual UFC programming hurts them, but quite the opposite. It's not really competition either, since one is on after the other. If anything, do what WWE does and have TNA go 5 minutes over, this way the people tuning in for UFC can get hooked on TNA by catching the end of their main event haha. The only problem I have with Spike is that it's a strictly male channel, and designed that way. Not only does that hurt the female demographic, but also the child demographic, as a mother won't want her child watching a channel that promotes Manswers, and answer questions about whether lesbian, bi, or straight girls put out more. TNT wouldn't be a bad choice, as it has nothing to do during the NBA's offseason other than show Law and Order reruns.
