Hogan is the biggest star to ever be made in wrestling, possibly second only to Austin. His prime was magnificent, destroying wrestlers of all shapes and sizes, and it was great to watch.
So if he went to TNA, I just coudn't watch it. There's just something too sad about seeing old wrestlers hobbling around the ring, trying to force themselves into making it a good match. Watching some of the older guys in TNA is bad enough. But even the then, the oldest wrestler in TNA is 5 years younger than Hogan.
Last time we saw Hogan wrestle it was 2006. He looked horrible and Orton had to carry the whole match... And jobbed to Hogan for his troubles.
This is 3 years later. Hogan is 55. Fifty fucking 5. He has to learn when to just give up, cause one of these times he'll make a mistake in the ring from his old age that could not only hurt Hogan himself, but the person he's working with.
And despite what people seem to think, it would hurt TNA. TNA would end up paying millions for Hogan. Millions they can't afford to spend. It wouldn't be that great an investment. It's great when Hogan makes an appearance every so often. He gets a god pop, helps out a babyface in distress and poses for a while. But if we saw him every week on impact for a year or so, wrestling in his current condition? Come on, that would be hard to watch. And it would be bad for TNA on a whole other level. They're struggling as it is trying to create young stars, why bring the guy who'd rather eat his own leg than job to somebody younger and less famous than him? Although considering what the MEM is doing to young guys, I guess having Hogan in there wouldn't make much difference.
And seriously, the wresltling industry has to let Hogan go. Wrestling businesses have to stop getting Hogan in to help them out. Can't depend on one guy forever, no matter how good he once was. If this doesn't stop, the wrestling world is pretty fucked when Hogan finally dies.
