I just realized something

Getting Noticed By Management
I've always said I have never been to a WWE event.. but I just remembered that I went to one a few years ago in my hometown. It was a house show but somehow I had seats right in front of the ring. The entrance "ramp" was so small that when the wrestlers came out you could reach them from either side. The main-event was Big Show vs Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle, with Angle pinning Brock well Big Show literally just rolled around on the outside. I just remember reaching out and being able to touch these guys and how huge Big Show was. And I was also wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how long ago this would have been when these three were feuding.

Sounds right, I was around 8 or 9 probably. I feel proud to say I've been to something WWE related.

I've got one for you. Three years ago, we went to a minor-league baseball game in New Hampshire. Before the game, the smallest wrestling ring I've ever seen (12 X 12?) was set up on the grass near the concession stands and 100 or so people were standing around it. We figured that some local high school kids were going to put on an exhibition, but a few minutes later we found ourselves watching Tony Atlas wrestle Greg Valentine!

The two of them looked the same as they ever did except for their expanded waistlines, and the ring was too small for them to really do much, but they put on a show anyway. Most of the match consisted of chest slaps which sounded great but did little damage. Almost none of the fight took place on the mat; there just wasn't room for it. Still, these guys knew how to work a match and they had the fans cheering the whole time.

That's as close to a live WWE event as I ever came.
