Started as just wind, changed to sleet, then snow, then freezing rain and hail, then rain, then snow, and now it's all wind again...

The city I live in, similar climate to Death Valley, just not as hot in the summer is also prone to extreme colds. +40C in the summer on average, -40 in the winter is common. Damn Semi Arid Steppe Climates. We don't have Air conditioning (putting it in in the spring), but last year, in the night, it did not drop below 35 at night in our house for weeks. But that is the summer, in the winter, we get covered in the Arctic air masses, with extreme winds. I have a patch of skin that is almost frost bite from it last week.

its funny, cos we are getting the heat wave as well, 30 is hot for tasmania but I'm not a sook.

Right now we're in the middle of one of the biggest blizzards in our history. Schools have been closed for a week and everything is covered in about 2 inches of ice.

I've never seen a blizzard or 2 inches of ice on the ground. What's it like? And I'd LOVE if school was closed for a week.

Its the exact opposite in Australia. Some of the hottest weather in 50 years.

Are you getting any of the shit that I'm getting Monday and Tuesday? There could be up to a foot of snow by Wednesday morning, and then it's going to hover around 8 on Wednesday. Perfect fuckign weather for shoveling my frozen ass out of the driveway to get to work...

It's been around 20 for us up here...The wind has been a pain in the ass.

It's supposed to be a little warmer Sunday into Monday, but then pretty much non-stop madness until Wednesday.

It's been raining pretty much the last few weeks and probably has been struggling to get above 20-something degrees every day. I even wore my senior jersey to school the other day. Good old Queensland.
