Hurricane and Burchill looked good this past week and I hope this feud develops like Goldust and Shamus have on ECW. The brand is doing a great job developing the young guns. Hurricane looks great, but his gear...God there has to be a way to make it look cooler than the neon green outfit. He looks good in the ring though!

You're one of the few people who dislike the Hurricane gimmick.
I adore The Hurricane, and the fact that an actual gimmick and storyline is occurring makes me extremely happy. I love what they're doing with Burchill and Hurricane, and I certainly wouldn't be averse to an ECW title run for Hurricane. The Hurricane gimmick is a ton of fun and an extremely refreshing change of pace from what we normally see in our wrestlers. The crowd loves him, obviously. He gets massive pops every week, which is better than someone like Tyler Reks does.
Couple this with the fact that Helms is gold in the ring and you have one of my favorite wrestlers of today.

well, when I first seen him with Rosey as a T/T, I thought he was ok. Then when he turned on Rosey, I thought...WOAH!.....but then when I seen him debut as Gregory Helms, yes this was it for me, then won the CW Title, I loved it.....I dont wan to go back to that hero gimmick.
Maybe you thought he was badass as Gregory Helms, but remember when he returned to Smackdown? No one cared.
People care now. If he were just plain Gregory, I imagine he'd be lost in the shuffle as just another wrestler. Now, he's unique, different, and extremely over. It's similar to Goldust. He's over because he is Goldust, not Dustin Rhodes.

Gregory Helms is great in the ring, and pretty decent on the mic, but this gimmick stinks. It was good during the whole Rosey and SHIT story line, and was decent for a few weeks when he was saving people backstage and doing other random things, but now that he's back in the ring every week, I'm already sick of it.....its kinda like those other two guys who were puke green and black to the ring, and come out on Raw every monday, Snoring

You know why the fans pop so hard for him, despite him only being back for a month? It’s because he isn’t another random musclehead like Charlie Haas. Helms can connect with the crowd, and everyone loves seeing a superhero come out and lay the smackdown. Except you, apparently, but you’re the guy who wants to fire Triple H, so forgive me if I don’t take your opinion very seriously.

Don’t get me wrong, I like his badass gimmick, but with him being The Hurricane it makes him more interesting and gives him a ready-made storyline. That’s all, mate.fan40 said:

This sounds an awful lot like another wrestler on the roster…Paul Burchill. Yeah, a man who can’t get over and his main claim to fame is an entertaining pirate gimmick and having a hot “sister”. Maybe the badass gimmick is cool, but The Hurricane is unique, fun, and extremely popular. Could it work? Yeah, maybe, but it’s a chance I don’t want them to take when they have something great right now.

i think they should keep up his feud with paul burchill because that feud has great storyline, it produced one of the best ECW matches of the year, and it's elevated paul burchills status from jobber to mid carder and i love Hurricane!
