Hulk Hogan to Make Major Announcement

On the Wrestlezone front page, it is said that Hulk Hogan will be making a major announcement in regards to the next pay per view for TNA, Lockdown.

As he has been mentoring Abyss, who did not pick up the win this weekend in a match that ended in a no-contest, could Hulk Hogan announec that Abyss is getting another shot in a three way with Champion AJ Styles and number one contender D'Angelo Dinero?

After AJ sent through the ring, Hogan grabbed the belt for Abyss, but of course, he was not the champion. Could this a three way be Hogan's Major announcement?

Sadly, I'm 90% sure that this is what is going to happen. Because to Hogan, shoving someone into a match that is already set is totally un-WWE like and shows your commitment to push people that are actually good. Oh Wait! ;/

The other 10% says The Pope has his title shot on Impact (which is total BS) so Abyss versus A.J. can be a mentee/mentor match.

That's what I assumed the announcement was going to be, but the Abyss hater in me is really hoping that the announcement is for a re-match tonight, so Pope doesn't get dicked over like Kaz did when he initially won his X-Division title shot on iMPACT! prior to the Destination X PPV.

Abyss may have been "screwed" in his match when the ring gave way, but I'm already annoyed enough with seeing his face this much every week, and having him as a part of the title picture will be even worse, IMO.

Whatever his announcement is, it's going to be LAME as usual. Its just a throwback WCW attempt to get people to watch. His "major announcement" is what he was going to be saying in a promo anyway: either announcing a match for IMPACT or a PPV, or who is the #1 contender or how his daughter doesn't want him to wrestle anymore. Maybe he'll announce getting involved with TNA has actually worsened a decent product.

I'm hoping the announcement is Aj vs RVD at Lockdown. Wishful thinking probably. I'm already getting sick of the Abyss/ AJ feud, which is really a Hogan/ Flair feud in disguise.

This is exactly what I'll be expecting to hear from Hogan tonight. He would have to come up with some lame excuse for Abyss to get another shot at the title at Lockdown, at The Pope's expense at that. I can imagine the creative team saying this backstage in a meeting:

"Because we can't have just The Pope in there since he isn't really a draw, we gotta put Hulk Hogan #2 in there. That would be better..."

For now, I'll stay with my expectations until after what happens tonight.

Anyway, it's probably something to do with programming. I don't see them putting Abyss in ANOTHER title match at Lockdown with AJ and Pope. However, he might get a return match on iMPACT. That wouldn't surprise me. But who knows with Hogan. He may announce that he's gay for all we know. RATINGS, BROTHA!

Meh, I don't really care what Hogan's major announcement is to be quite honest. Like much of what's happened since he came to TNA, I'm fairly certain that the reality won't live up to the hype. Like everyone else thus far, it'll probably be some sort of announcement in which Abyss is given another crack at the title. Quite frankly, I'd rather watch Pete Rose get kicked around by Kane tonight.

Hopefully its that he is facing Bubba the love sponge in a death match or something.

I hope it isn't regarding The Pope's lockdown. I'm guessing it might be about the Lethal Lockdown match. Possibly naming the team captains or something a long those lines.

I honestly think that hogan will announce that Abyss will be given another shot at lockdown. BUT... RVD And/or Jeff Hardy's music will hit and we'll end up having a 3-way contenders match to get injected into the ME at lockdown. Poor Pope, he doesn't have a chance now if you ask me.

I would is big announcement to be that him and Eric Bischoff are leaving TNA. Wishful thinking is know but would it be a fun thing if it would happened. But seriously, like most of you have said, i wouldn't be surprised if Hogan just announce that the TNA title is held up until Lockdown and at Lockdown it will be Abyss vs A.J. Styles and completly forgetting that Pope is suppose to get the title shot at lockdown.

I hope this doesn't have anything to do with The Band....I really hope they have control over Hogan and Nash or this could lead to a major disaster. I hope the announcement concerns Pope and him getting his shot at Lockdown.

TNA reminds me of that old NBC TV show, Blossom. Every week, they would advertise it as a "very special Blossom", in which she would have her first date, first kiss, lose her virginity, get stoned, eat corn on the cob, wash her car, etc, and every week, "its a very special announcement" on TNA. Its just a gimmick to get people to tune in...As if those people (like myself) are going to not watch Monday Night Raw, like we normally would, just so we can hear what Hogan's "big announcement" is.

Whatever it is, it won't be big. Hogan is all about hype. The problem is, a lot of people are on to his B.S. I would suspect it has something to do with Abyss, but who knows. No one knows. Hell, Hogan probably doesn't even know yet. He said it to get people to turn in. He doesn't care about the pay off being any good. He only cares if you tune in. I am not nearly as opposed to Hogan being in TNA as some of you, but his routine is getting old. All hype, no quality.

I hope he doesn't put Abyss in the match between Aj and the Pope. The Pope worked hard to get his title shot, Now by adding Abyss into the mix there will be less hope for Pope to win the Championship belt. And that will really suck. Abyss is a good star, But he doesn't need the TNA championship belt around his waist.

I hope the announcement isn't Abyss related either. Spike TV is promoting that two TNA wrestlers will put their career on the line tonight. That is probably the huge announcement. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Foley and Jarrett. Hopefully the Nasty Boys will put it on the line so we don't have to see their worthless asses ever again.

i dont know what the announcement is,but as long as it involves hogan thats all that matters because anything that involves hogan is huge i mean even all of you morons in this forum know he is the greatest of all time. i cant hardly wait tna is such a great product with hogan there. since tna has moved to mondays i actually look forward and count down the hours to monday nite. i dont know if it is that i look forward to watching tna or if it is that im happy that i dont have to watch that horrible watered down show raw or both. abyss might not be my first pick to see but if i have to choose between abyss or albino ronald mcdonald sheamus then sorry albino i will take abyss anyday.actually i would rather see amazing red then sheamus, i would rather see anybody than that joke sheamus,and i sure as hell would rather see jeff hardy or aj styles than anybody on the raw roster quite frankly because they are better. i would also rather see hogan than anybody on the entire wwe roster because he is a bigger draw than any of them have or ever will be for that matter

My guess is that Hogan will be announcing that the ring he gave Abyss was actually an engagement ring and they're getting married at the next PPV!! OMG!! LOL I'm so tired of this story line...

i wont speculate as to what hogans announcement is bc id rather watch the show to find out. all i know is being a wrestling fan since 1980 i have switched from the boring stuff wwe puts out there bc they have nothing else to give me and have literally have their fans thinking its brilliant when if another company does it, then u all say thats so lame and dumb. tell ya what instead of checking out my tna why dont the haters of tna and lovers of wwe just follow ur own show if its that gud? i mean come on, tna has been so exciting to me that i dont have time to read or watch wwe bc tna is the best right now, sorry about your damn luck.
