A REAL American
The Godfather Charles Wright was just at fan access last weekend in New Orleans, LA for Wrestlemania weekend. He has had many gimmicks while wrestling in the WWF/E. From his time in the tag team known as Power & Glory to his solo career as PaPa Shango. Following as Kama the extreme fighting machine right before joing the Nation of Domination. But when the infamous attitude era came around in the WWF Kama changed his gimmick once again to the Godfather: big pimp'in.
The WWF had their very own wrestling pimp! A wrestler coming to the ring with straight-up hoe's from local stripper clubs nationwide! The Godfather was gold on the mic while doing promo's in the ring on RAW saying things like "Roll up light up a fatty for this pimp daddy!". And the people at the USA network didn't get what he was saying to the live crowd so he got away with it alot.
When the top storyline feuds were going on like Stone Cold vs Mr. McMahon and DX vs the Corporation. The Godfather brought in some comic relief. He was dead smack in the middle of the program every monday night on RAW. With Val Venis as his wingman, the Godfather managed to win the WWF IC title from Goldust on RAW for his success in the long run. But he lost the IC to Jeff Jarrett two months later. The Godfather was one of those character you'll never forget. But, how would you rate the Godfather in the attitude era?
