How To Make Them Main Event?

Luke Gallows:
Have Punk win the World Title then make Gallows turn on him and have him challenge Punk for the World Title and eventually have Gallows win the title and go on to defend it against others. That's pretty much all you need to do with Gallows.

Awww come on man, bit more effort... that's why I asked for long term. First off, when he turns on Punk, who changes to face? Given that his current personna isn't giving to a solo run, how does he tweak it after the turn? What about the other SES members - who they siding with? To quote another big bald guy with a goatee - "Who's next?" Most importantly, how does he maintain long term heat (I'm sure you're not looking him to return to the Festus character)?

Luke Gallows: This is what I am thinking for Luke Gallows. Now that Serena is gone from the WWE. Have SES come out and have CM Punk say something along the lines of she wasn't pure anymore so I had to get rid of her blah blah blah. Then have Gallows go nuts give a huge double clothesline to Joey and Punk. Gallows then beats down both men (shouldn't be to hard on Joey since he is already injured) so it could look legit if one hit from Joey knocks him out then a beat down on Punk. Make it be revealed that Gallows believes in the idea of SES but he still believes in fun. He believes a little drinking once your over 21 is OK, he believes tattoos are a persons choice, etc. etc. Pretty much make him a positive looking guy for the PG rating and a face. Someone the kids could look up to. Gallows will then team up with Big Show to take on Punk and Mercury. Gallows will just destroy Mercury everytime he gets in the ring with him to show Gallows is about to make it to the big time. After the feud Show/Gallows vs SES feud, Big Show and Gallows will become a full time tag team. (I am unsure if the Tag Titles will be defended on Smackdown anymore) but regardless they will be traded to Raw(most likely for a big main event star to jump to Smackdown for the switch to SyFy) to take on the new tag champs, The Usos. Show and Gallows will defeat them on their debut episode of Raw. For a few months Show and Gallows will take over the "entire" tag division on Raw. After a few months they will eventually lose to some tag team that was formed in/from the Nexus. Show and Gallows will argue back and forth who's fault it is. Eventually having Big Show turn on Gallows creating a feud between Show and Gallows, with Gallows being the underdog (the crowd loves a good underdog). The fued will most likely begin around WrestleMania and end around Fatal Four Way. After that feud it will be time for are favorite "lets make main event in one night" PPV...Money in the Bank. Gallows will be revealed as one of the competitors but not on Raw...on SMACKDOWN! This will be revealed at the PPV. After a long hard battle Gallow will come out the winner of the Money in the Bank (most likely after a lot of high fliers did all of the hard work). Gallows will then the first night back on Smackdown cash in his Money in the Bank Contract for a match at SummerSlam, saying how he wants a real fight, no sneak attacks, no coming in after a match and beating on a already beaten down champ, he wants to win it the right way. The World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus (remember that guy who was traded to Smackdown a while back) will come out telling him that was a big mistake because there is no way he is beating Sheamus. A match will be made at SummerSlam and it will be a CAGE MATCH...and the winner of the match will be of course...SHEAMUS! Yes that's right Gallows can't win it YET. The two will battle it out at night of champions where there and only there will Gallows become World Heavyweight Champion and becoming...a main event superstar. You heard it here first. In One years time...Luke Gallow will become a Main Event Superstar.

The next challenge....Zack Ryder Woo Woo Woo

Have Zack Ryder appear next week on raw asking Sheamus for the money he promised him to job to Sheamus on Raw, Sheamus comes out cocky and acts like this never once happened and that Zack is just making this up to add credit for himself. Suddenly Ryder challenges Sheamus too a non-title match which he dominates Sheamus and almost gets the pin when suddenly Sheamus uses underhanded tricks to get the win and suddenly goes on a rampage destroying Zack with weapons and "Injuring" Zack Ryder. Have Sheamus retain the belt at Night of Champions where suddenly we see Zack Ryder running from the crowd carrying some sort of weapon and begins beating down Sheamus over and over again and then says these words "I'm Back... WOO WOO WOO" Next week on Raw the Secret GM announces that at hell in a Cell it will be Zack vs Sheamus at Hell in a Cell (I believe thats the next PPV) having Zack win a bloody and intense match gaining the 1,2,3 and becomming the Champ!!

Next up let's go... Chris Masters.

Chris Masters:
Have him go on an undefeated streak with jobbers, and lower carders (Chavo, Croft, Mercury, JTG, Reks, Yoshi, etc ). After several months of this have him challenge IC champion Dolph Ziggler for the IC Title. Vickie Guerro uses her powers to insist if Masters doesn't win the belt he will not receive another shot at the IC Title while Ziggler is champion. Drew McIntyre interfers, getting Dolph DQed but saving his title. It is revealed Drew did this for a WHC shot against champion Chris Jericho (face). Masters, to get revenge, partners up with Jericho to keep McIntyre from winning the title using nefarious means. Jericho, the wily veteran, teams with Masters and since Masters is banned for the IC Title, Jericho and Masters challenge for the Tag Titles and win them, giving Jericho dual titles, and Masters the ability to go to both shows.

Masters wins the RAW MITB (he is a SmackDown! superstar but he entered a RAW qualifying match), and as the RAW MITB holder he challenges the WWE Champion to a match at Summerslam. At Summerslam, Chris Masters faces HHH (heel) for the WWE Title, and in a shocking move wins cleanly, with the Masterlock. Afterwards he and Jericho lose the Tag Team Titles, and is moved to RAW permanently. The partnership continues though, as they are shown being friends at PPV's, Superstars, etc. That all comes to a head though at Elimination Chamber, when Masters turns heel, cheating to retain his title (brass knuckles in his trunks to sneak them into the chamber). Masters loses his title to John Cena at WM 28, and then is drafted to SmackDown! where Jericho tries to be his friend but Masters just wants the WHC Jericho still holds, he is possessed with being champion.. Have them feud for about 6 months (a one off match Masters wins, Jericho wins the rematch, Masters works his way back into contention and constantly is obsessing about getting another match, they finish the feud at Night of Champions in a no holds barred match.



Next challenge: Tyson Kidd

Have Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith go through a meltdown. Have Bret Hart try to get these two men on the same page, but have Tyson Kidd refuse to work with David Hart Smith even going as far as to saying, "He's not even a Hart." Both of the men then face off in a match in which Tyson Kidd wins. Tyson Kidd continues to beat down David Hart Smith until Bret Hart runs out and begins to talk some sense into Tyson Kidd. Refusing to listen to what Bret has to say have Tyson Kidd simply turn his back on all of the Hart Family only to have Bret Hart & Tyson Kidd go one on one with each other. Natalya is caught up in all of the Mayhem and tries to reason with both men before they face off in the ring, but Tyson Kidd explains, "This is for respect!" and Bret explains, "If words won't get to him I guess I will have to beat it into him." After a short match Natalya comes down to the ring as Tyson Kidd is ready to hit his finisher onto Bret as he lays down helpless. She begs and pleads with Tyson Kidd not to do it, but all of a sudden she low blows Hart and Tyson Kidd follows up with the Sharpshooter having Bret tap out and gets the victory having both Tyson Kidd and Natalya take a Heel turn and turn their backs on the Hart Family.

This will create a male/female team (Worked with Edge and Lita, Edge and Vickie Guererro, and so many more) except both of them can wrestle. Have Tyson Kidd go through a change in attire instead of pink go with purple. Have Tyson Kidd dominate in the Mid-Card only to have him win the United States Championship and (for storyline purposes only) declare it the Canadian Championship! Have a new title made for it and the whole shebang. Tyson Kidd goes on has a few successful defenses for the next 3 - 6 months. At the same time have Natalya dominating in the Women's Division. After we have not heard from Bret or David for months have David Hart Smith and Bret Hart win the title off of Tyson Kidd. After losing the title keep Tyson Kidd in the picture... Have him start facing more established guys like; Edge and Chris Jericho. As he begins to become a force to be reckoned with have Tyson Kidd exclaim, "I'm better then Bret Hart!" and even use his own catchphrase, "I'm the best there is, the best there was, and the best there EVER will be!" And have him go on to say, "Since I have left the Hart Dynasty I have beat nearly EVERYBODY! I have shown I am the greatest Canadian Wrestler defeating both Chris Jericho, Edge, AND BRET HART! Have Tyson Kidd go on to say what is left to do for Tyson Kidd? That is win the WWE Championship!"

After a PPV of some sort have Tyson Kidd compete in a Number One Contenders Match for the WWE Championship and have Tyson Kidd win! Have Tyson Kidd go on and win the WWE Championship with Bret Hart as the special guest referee! In the match have Tyson Kidd and Bret Hart have a few stare downs, but Tyson Kidd is obviously being dirty. Towards the end of the match have David Hart Smith come out and attempt to distract Bret Hart as Tyson Kidd is getting the pin. Bret Hart struggles and Tyson Kidd yells at all of them, but all of a sudden you see a stare in each of their eyes. Tyson Kidd nods his head. David Hart Smith goes in and they hit there Tag Team finisher. The crowd is in shock! Tyson Kidd locks in the Sharpshooter and calls for the bell before the WWE Champion could tap (like the Montreal Screwjob) Tyson Kidd is the WWE Champion and it is revealed they have been together all along! Next night on RAW have Bret Hart explain, "We are a Family and we stick together! And what happened last night was nothing, but pure genius! We fooled everybody and now the WWE Championship is where it should've been A LONG time ago (hinting he should've never lost at Survivor Series) And that is back in the Hart Families possession! David Hart Smith has the Canadian Championship, Natalya will have the Divas Championship, and Tyson Kidd will have the WWE Championship! Tyson Kidd defends his title successfully and then Kidd is in the Main Event!

Vladimir Kozlov

Kozlov- Have him go crazy after him and santino lose a tag title match taking out santino and the hart dynasty. Have him fave tyson kidd and take him out of action for a couple weeks which pisses off David Hart. Have Kozlov and Hart feud for awhile then have Kozlov take him out. After a few more programs with Truth and Evan Bourne have him dominate Bourne and next up a feud with a tweener Orton.

Zack Ryder- Have him come out in an Edge match and help Edge win. Talk about their past history some and team up for a bit. Then have ryder cost edge a tag title match turn face and say unlike you I respect my fans Woo Woo Woo you know it. Have him go over Edge in a fued and its a gold road from there.

Next Up Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy: Team him with a kayfabe brother and a girlfriend, keep it going. Let his girlfriend break up with him, get him fired and put him on a treadmill. Once he is off of the treadmill give him matches that he loses and wins and then finally wins and celebrates. Keep him a huge draw and get him to the Rumble let him win, and face Sheamus at Mania. Oh Noez! He has another injury. Back to being a jobber.

I'd like to congratulate the man who made this thread, but the replies are somewhat horrible. Christian, Hardy, Regal, Santino, Kozlov they are sideshows. Sideshows are improtant. They wrestle, get paychecks, have a loyal fan base and retire without too much fame and a ton of money. If you want to put someone over please make them people who are young, talented and not veterans of this company.

Next mission: Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is already on the right path to being pushed... But I think we should add a little twist on to this. The Miz comes out one night on RAW basically insulting Daniel Bryan. After a while of this Daniel Bryan comes out and defends himself and tells The Miz it's already set in stone that Daniel Bryan will get a shot at the United States Championship at Night of Champions. But Daniel Bryan he says, "Miz, if you are so confident that you can beat me... Why won't you put that Money in the Bank briefcase on the line?" The Miz at first refuses, but after a few more words by Daniel Bryan The Miz accepts his challenge. At Night of Champions it's The Miz vs Daniel Bryan Title vs Contract! Daniel Bryan obviously wins and The Miz loses his briefcase making Daniel Bryan get Redemption. The Miz and Daniel Bryan then have a Ladder Match (the way it was won in the first place) on RAW and once again Daniel Bryan wins!

Daniel Bryan then goes on to hold the United States Championship and the Money in the Bank briefcase for a while defending it against all comers. He then eventually loses the United States Championship after a lengthy run and cuts a promo saying, "I have lived out my dream of getting into the WWE, but there is another dream I would like to accomplish." And that dream is to headline WrestleMania and compete for the WWE Championship on the Grandest Stage of them ALL! And he officially announces that he will turn in his briefcase at WrestleMania! Daniel Bryan competes and obviously wins the WWE Championship! He goes on and defends his championship successfully putting him into the Main Event!

EDIT: Damnit! I just thought about another great way to push him! Oh, well!

Alberto Del Rio

Alberto is on the right path with "taking out Mysterio". Have him get a couple of wins against MVP and JTG while Kofi puts over Ziggler. Then have Kofi and Alberto feud having Alberto go over. I think after Kofi a feud with Alberto and Christian could strike well. After about 5 or 6 months of these feuds have him and Dashing Cody Rhodes get into a confrontation backstage turning Rio face.Get him some Merchandise then a program with Mcintyre saying oh while Vince gave you your spot I actually earned mine wrestling all over the world etc. and just like that he takes Rey spot as the Hispanic Face of the WWE boosting him to the main event.

I guess I'll take Alberto Del Rio, seeing as the last post has no superstar listed... Here we go.

Keep the rivalry with Alberto and Rey Mysterio going, eventually ending with Alberto retiring Rey Mysterio a couple PPV's down the line. Then, pick a face who has hopefully made some bit of his career back (Christian/Hardy) and have him start a program saying he can buy them out of their careers with all the money he has, but he'd much rather make them leave the E the old fashioned way. Going over one of them and trying to do something similar to a top SD! face after he succeeds, such as a Big Show or even 'Taker, eventually retiring them and making himself the most hated heel on SmackDown!, where he can try and run with the title for a while.

Now, my choice...I haven't seen a Drew McIntire.

I would love to take Drew McIntyre!

So when he first debuted in the WWE Vince McMahon pushed him as "The Chosen One" well if there is one thing that annoys me more about this "Chosen One" gimmick (not so much anymore), but this guy thought he should've been treated like royalty and whined and cried about it in the process. I think a different approach should be taken...

Have Drew McIntyre go on a losing streak. After a few months have Drew McIntyre come out to the ring complain and cry about his losing streak. All of a sudden Vince McMahon make a very rare appearance on the SmackDown and goes to the ring and have him tell McIntyre how he has failed him and embarrassed him because he has not been living up to his name. Vince McMahon tells McIntyre that he needs to have a turn around... Drew McIntyre goes on and in his matches Vince McMahon slightly tweeks them to fit in the favor of Drew. He begins to go on a winning streak taking out guys like; Christian, Matt Hardy, Jack Swagger, MVP, and etc.

At this point a Tournament is held. And Drew McIntyre finds his way all the way to the top to win and get a shot for the World HeavyWeight Championship. Drew McIntyre goes on and he defeats the World HeavyWeight Champion with Vince McMahon as the special guest referee. Drew McIntyre defends his title once more and there he is in the Main Event!

So this way instead of a silly note Drew McIntyre and Vince McMahon will be partners and crime and Vince McMahon. This way Drew McIntyre will get over majorly! As this goes on Vince McMahon slowly, but surely fades away as he fulfills the prophecy and McIntyre goes on and continues to dominate on the SmackDown Brand!

The dashing one Cody Rhodes. He is already on the road to main event. he won a nearly 30 minute match, sure, it was against mvp, but it blew me away. wwe needs more matches like that- at least for the main events and title matches-nmake important matches important, and longer.

drew mcintyre- also on the road to main event. just pair him oficially with rhodes and give them the tag belts.

Zack ryder. wwe needs to stop burying him. 1 boot and he lost to sheamus. build im up, feud him with morrison, building both, and give him the us title.

Gallows- quit the ses, for crying out loud. make him a monster. make him attack important faces.

How to make anyone a main eventer - Give them a storyline that someone cares about? Take the Big Show. Yes he's huge and yes he's a monster. So make him act like one! Have him go on a rampage and destroy people. Then build up a guy like Evan Bourne or Jack Swagger come up to them and not back down. They fight a couple PPVs and then we move on from there. The problem with WWE is that they don't creat win-win solutions for their characters. They try to take 2-3 guys, put them over and have everyone else put them over. For instance, does Cena need to overcome the odds every week? No one wants to see that! We want to see someone come up and rough Cena up and then Cena fights back. I thought the WWE was going to do this with Cena and Nexus, but nope...Cena rallies the troops! Of course he does. Who did that build up? It built up Cena and a little bit of Miz. Miz didn't need it, but it helped him. Did that help Nexus? Of course not. For example, last week when the Nexus guy lost to Cena. Why didn't he win? Everyone else did! You could've shown some weakness in Cena, some strength in Nexus and the feud could've gone on for at least another Month or Two. But it's done. The WWE just doesn't want to build anyone up right now.

I will make one more good example of how to build someone up. Chrisitan. A former champ. Should be easy. But WWE is messing it up. So start over. Have Christian fight a couple of fights with mid-carders. Then have him go on a winning streak and demand a shot against Dolph Ziggler. He gets it and loses. They feud for 2 months. Finally Christian wins. But his title reign is cut short by interference from hm...CM Punk. CM Punk doesn't like Christians attitude, etc...They feud until Wrestlemania. They both fight in the Money in the Bank and boom. Christian wins. Few months later, cashes it in, wins. Main Eventer for 4 years! It's that simple. And no one lost. Dolph has a reason to get to Main Event status, CM Punk has reason to get into main event status, and Christian is known as a top-draw.

Sorry to be so long on this, but it really is that simple. WWE writer's just have no clue how to get this done. It starts with a story and moves on. CM Punk/Christian could go on for years (See Rock vs Steve Austin/HHH).
