How should they replace Vince?

Fuel The Fire

Getting Noticed By Management
Well Vince will always have some backstage power but my question is,

how will they replace him on tv?

How do you think they should do it?

I was thinking that should have one more match with him at wrestlemania. He's going to have to go in as a super face and I think they could do it. I say give him the win at wrestlemania. I mean come on this guy has never won a match at wrestlemania so lets just give him at least one win for the record.

Since I think he is going to win it has to be against some one that has established him self and would have to be a super heel. WAIT FOR IT!

Heel turn of the century would be John Cena.

I don't know how believable this would be or even if you guys think it would work but they could make some kind of fluke out of it and have McMahon on top at wrestlemania.

Then the following night on raw he says that he is going to retire on a top note and realizes that he needs to step down and will bring in a replacement.

Now for a replacement I have no clue on who that would be right now but it looks like Steph would be the match.

I personally fell that they way he left as of know did not give us a way to say good by to Vince. If anything I would like to see a bigger send off then Flair got.
But what do you guys think, what would be a good way to write him off tv.
Should they just leave it as it is know or give him a good send off?

Why would you wante Vince taking up even more time in the ring not just at a normal event, but at Mania ?? There are wrestlers who train every day and they are shat upon by Vince and celbirites just wanting some TV time and a little bit more fame. The only reason Vince is in wrestling is because he is rich. He has been WWE Champion, ECW Champion and Royal Rumble Winner. Shane has been hardcore champion and European champion whilst stephanie has become Womens champion. Now think of EVERY wrestler you know. Some work really hard some dont. But All of them were pushed back a little to even some lsoing their jobs and careers because Vince and his family wanted the spotlight. Would Shane and Stephanie have become wrestlers in the WWE without being relatives to Vince. No! They wouldnt even be considered for any wrestling promotion in the world. Not even a 12 year old boy and his friends backyeard wrestling company. Its like when Dana White tries to talk to UFC fighters on how they can make it to the top, how they should be fighting, Dana white actually critiszed Chuck Liddell on his fighting style. He told him never to wrestle like he did in one match ever again. The only reason Dana is there, only reason the McMahon family are there is because they are Rich !! Not becuase they are great athletes, fuck, they arnt even decent athletes. Shane is probably the worst Hardcore champion ever. They just play their silly games with people who workd extremely hard just so they can get their kicks. Vince is a dirty, perverted old man who is an egotistical man because he is rich. Vince has been done for sexual harrasement a few times, every time, the women loses her job after it. Now imagine all the times that people havent complained. Or the times wheer they do it so they can get a job. Vince always puts himself in storylines with the divas so he can do shit with them.

Vince, Stephanie, Shane, Linda, Dana White and anybody else who is a chairman of some sports company stay the fuck away from the action. Stay in the bck where you belong.

Imagine if John Mara(the New York Giants owner) decided he wanted to play in a match.
Or Massimo Morrati(Inter Milan owner) wanted to play left back one game.

I imagine Triple H will take control along with Stephanie probably.

Well honestly they went from the president Jack Tunney to Monsoon to Commissioner Slaughter to Commissioner HBK to Vince and Commish to McMahon-Helmsley era to Commissioners to Vince again to GMs to one GM a guest host and vince and now its a GM an assistant GM and a guest host. Honestly I think if they would just stop getting bored with all their ideas we would've replaced Vince already. and quite honestly the only way to truly replace Vince is to have either one person or group calling the shots or have 2 GMs and the only way to successfully do it is make it no one who has ties to HHH so the non Smarks won't say they used him to keep HHH in the title picture, or HHH is in power so one day he will always put himself in the spotlight like everyone thinks Hogan is going to do in TNA.

Vince just needs to say he is stepping down in dealing with all the things that happen on TV, I will assume my duties at WWE headquarters or titan towers or whatever its called now, and that he is placing full responsibility to..... _______ <~~~~ insert relevant wrestling persona here. And that is that

I take it you still haven't come to terms with the fact wrestling is fake and this is sports entertainment....

what next. Floyd Mayweather is going to try and get involved.. oh wait
:lmao:

And when has Dana White ever tried to get involved in a match? Yes he's pretty vocal before and after but your whole reply is ridiculous. Vince McMahon is probably top 10 draws in the history of Wrestling.. why wouldn't he keep booking himself?

Besides the Hart match I don't think i've ever watched a Vince match and wanted to change the channel. He's always willing to take a shot/bump and its f'n entertainment dude..

As I think NFL owners have been more in the media lately than the players.. you just had Jerry Jones drunk at a bar and the Dolphins GM talking about a mom being a prostitute.

IT will probally be STEPHANIE and then later on HHH will join her and we'll probally see another MCMAHON-HELMELSY ERA because HHH would be a great on air character and a great behind scenes person because HHH has a GREAT mind for the bussiness he has the mind of a wrestler and a fan. HHH could replace VINNIE MAC as the bad ass boss because lets be honest HHH is one of the greatest heels in wrestling history

No my reply is not ridicoulous.
If you work out and train near enough every day and WWE wrestlers do. I think it is very very unfair just for you to be pushed aside for the bosses son or daughter to not just take your place but win a belt, win the belt you have been training your whole life for and doing exactly as your told and probably treated like dirt. The WWE is some peoples lives. People spend years and years in developmental brands of WWE or in the midcard. Travelling everywhere just for their 5 minutes of glory every now and then and then they see the some guy who doesnt work out, if at all barley, and has the ring skills of Jim Ross, perhaps a little exaggarated but still nevertheless, someone who does not deserve to be there, main eventing PPVs just because he is the bosses son.

I have to come to terms with its fake ?? People giving up their famillies is not fake. People working hard every day is not fake.

fuel: I kind of like your idea for Vince's send-off, and I have to admit that this is a pretty good idea for a thread.

I do however think that your idea for Vince's send-off seems a bit much. Vince was a great on-air character, right up until his feud with Bret. The reason why you (and I, and other fans) enjoyed seeing him wrestling on TV is because he hardly ever did it.

You (and I, and other fans) know that Vince is not a wrestler. He can take bumps and whatnot, but I don't think he deserves a "proper" send-off with a "career-ending match" or whatever.

I really don't think that the WWE really needs to do anything about this. Just don't write Vince back on TV again. It's as simple as that. That's happened with countless other wrestlers and on-screen characters, they disappear from television - never to be seen again (maybe mentioned on-camera a couple of times, but never walk back under the lights). Once a character like Vince's needs to be back on TV (for instance, once the guest-GM thing FINALLY goes away), then bring in the replacement.

As far as his replacement goes, I think Shane would be the best candidate. Unfortunately, he says he's done with the business. Shane left to help with his Mom's campaign, yes? I don't think Linda will be in politics forever, and unless Shane wants to pursue a similar career I think there's a decent chance he might eventually make a return to the WWE.

If Shane sticks to his word, and NEVER comes back to the WWE, then it should be "The Billion-Dollar Princess" Stephanie who fills that role. However, I don't see her doing it any time soon, with her and HHH having their new baby...was that their first child, or do they have more than one?

If the WWE can wait that long (or if HHH retires sooner rather than later), then HHH would also make a fine replacement. Although, if HHH retires soon, he'd probably like to spend time at home with his wife and kid(s). Hell, I would do the same in HHH's shoes. Take the time off, and be a husband & Dad. Although, Vince would be off TV for weeks (sometimes months) at a time, maybe HHH and/or Steph would do the same.

At this point, hire an actor!! Have a casting-call, and hire someone to play the part of an evil-boss. Someone who is comfortable being on camera, comfortable being in front of a (HUGE) live-crowd, great on the stick, and someone young enough to be able to play the part for a long time (20+ years, if need-be). Go a bit further, and hire someone who is the athletic-type, and can possibly take bumps here & there too. An unknown actor would (obviously) work the best in this situation.

Have this new character work down in FCW for a while, until they tweak the character to be perfect...and, viola!!

Maybe have the storyline be that this new character "bought" the WWE from Vince, and now he (or she) is in control. Hell, you could have Vince lose the WWE in a poker game. Who cares? ...just don't bring Vince back to TV, and get rid of the guest-host thing on Raw. It's getting old.

Just my two-cents on the topic.

EDIT:

Bischoff would have been perfect for this role also, if he hadn't already jumped to TNA.

Not a fan of this idea at all. No one will buy the idea that VKM is gone until he is truly gone ... as in, dead. The WWE is his baby, his creation and given the reports of his hands on approach, it is doubtful that he will ever give up that creation on - or off- air.

For our resident pro wrestler, I'm sorry that Vince McMahon built a multi-million dollar empire ... gave professional wrestling a national following ... and allowed pro wrestlers to make millions of dollars ... but still books himself and his kids in a match here and there. I've never in the real world seen a boss hire his kids to do a job they weren't qualified for ... I've never seen a more qualified candidate passed over for a job because the boss wanted to give a job to his kids... That kind of thing only happens in pro wrestling ---- God forbid the family most associated with pro wrestling actually gets involved on camera in pro wrestling ...

But back to the point. If you work out and train near enough every day and WWE wrestlers do. You dont know what your talking about so dont try and tell someone who does.

Your heart is in the right place, but as usual with most youngsters, your head is way out in left field. I have pointed out the key word in bold. Life isn't fair. Pro wrestling is even less fair than life is. You'll learn, eventually.

By the way, Shane was far more entertaining than guys like Test, Val Venis, Scotty 2 Hotty, etc. So, maybe Vinny Mac knew what he was doing when he allowed Shane to wrestle.

A fucking John Cena heel turn thread....really? I return to the WWE sections for this.

Vince McMahon doesn't need to be replaced. Who are our top heels on each brand now? Jericho and Edge and Miz for Raw; Swagga, Punk, and someone else for Smackdown. Then you have the mid-card heels and all of that good stuff. The main event is not hurting from a lack of McMahon. No one is hurting from a lack of McMahon.

As far as your send-off...what? McMahon just got done with a massive heel run against Bret Hart. How in the hell are we going to come back the next day and cheer him away into the sunset? Why would we do so? The best way to end a Heel character for good is just as McMahon did at WM. Get the heel's natural and archenemy to beat the shit out of him on the grandest stage of them all. After the beating the heel never shows up again. Everyone assumes he just got his ass beat so hard that he either can't walk or he can't bring himself to face the fans again.

That's exactly what McMahon did, and he did spectacularly. And people say that McMahon doesn't know wrestling.

Wow this idiot really knows his stuff. Great imagination you got there with Floyd Mayweather.

Triple h will replace Vince, simple as. God knows your babbling on about the NFL and telling this guy wrestling is fake when its *scripted*. Yeah Daniel Bryan bump on the table vs chris jericho was fake, yeah great analogy fool.

I think it is fairly obvious VKM won't disappear completely as long as he is around, although i think we may have already seen his "official" send-off, in that his match against hart kinda completes his boss character in getting as involved as he did in a feud. Now I reckon Vince will remain standing from afar, getting involved occasionally like with McIntyre (being Vince's chosen one and all) but probably won't get physical.

I think it works fine having another character in charge like the GM's, they don't need to make as if Vince isn't the owner, because it will be blatent that he is still in charge from afar, but I do reckon you could have an "appointed" authority in charge of both shows. It's a position that will always be there, someone that young bucks can rebel against and so on, it just doesn't have to be Vince.

I think they should turn Vince into a new gimmick, like, a very old godfather type character, who's in a wheelchair all the time, and tells people what to do, constantly telling other people what to do. This gimmick is really what I always view Mr.McMahon, and I think an angle like this would be a perfect way to end, as maybe he can get shot by another leading gang, where Triple H can then take over as chairmen, this way, Triple H can retire by then, and settle down with his family running the business for the rest of his life.
