Pre-Show Stalwart
This is a thread on how the actions of chris benoit will affect ALLaspects of the WWE product. I have a few ideas.

1. All mentions of Chris Benoit will have to be erased for future DVDs eg A best of Royal Rumble DVD. This may affect what past footage will be put on DVDs

2. The wellness program may have to be even tougher, with vince having to make sure his house is in order.

3. Vince may have to start pushing smaller less muscular guys. this would indicate that he is cleaning up his act as far as steroids in the wwe are concerned

4. A slightly lesser schedule. I understand wwe is a business with tv shows and other commitments but with no off season maybe he will be dorced to give the wrestlers a less hectic schedule

just an idea, thoughts anyone

Not sure if they can get rid of all Benoit footage. Some other wrestlers best moments were with him, might impact on them a bit too much.

Def agree with other points though. Buzz word in UK at the moment is "Work Life Balance". There dosne't seem to be much of a balance for a wrestler, everything must take it's toll, as we've seen by all the early deaths over the past few years. It's not all down to drugs and stuff, a lot is the pressure, travelling, lack of recovery, lack of a proper life.

There must be wreslters out there that are big and muscly without resorting to steriods? Surely? then again it maybe they have no time to work out in a gym once they;ve established themselves.

Truth be told I think Vince is going to act like nothing ever happened. I also think he will act like his death angle never happened. As far as Benoit goes I am not going to comment on Benoit until the Autopsy Toxicology reports are posted online. Even though I got a feeling the people investigating this are probably just a bunch of lazy fat morons, who only care about they're big fat pay check at the end of each week. I really don't have any respect for all that CSI crap on TV who make people believe those corrupt investigators making a good living actually give a rats ass about someone loosing they're life.

i think its possible that they erase everything about benoit... i mean no one wants to have a murderer on their show... just to see benoit fight any1 now, for most ppl, would ruin WWEs image more and more.. they probably will want to stay aways from him as much as possible.

also its very difficult to find a wrestler whos not on steriods and is huge like cena, lashley or batista, its obvious chris benoit was using them too, the way his muscles were and all the veins is a sign of steriods... personally i dont know whye WWE loves those big men so much, they're boring to watch, the only one i think puts on a good fight is lashley... man he has some cool moves and is very intense in the ring, at least he really slams ppl, unlike gay batista... anyway, wrestlers like matt or nitro dont use them (i think) and could be just as well main event guys.. i also think randy doesnt use steriods.. doesnt look like it at least, and HBK also doesnt.. so why do they insist on having huge guys? O.o

also they have to have time to work out at a gym, if u just take steriods, and dont work out, u will get fat...

I have been a fan of Chris Benoit for the past 15 years....the greatest technical in-ring performer to ever live. To deny him his legacy inside the ring because of his families tragedy outside the ring is ridicolous. The WWE should know this by now. I mean Eddie Guerrero's death was also linked to steroid use, as was Mr. Perfect and to seperate them because of the number of bodies is inconsistent. Vince has had a history of watching his own ass on far too many occasions. I think he should stand up, chest out and support his superstar for his abilities in the ring. Now as a loyal fan I will be the first to say that I am truly disappointed and shocked in the situation. I was let down by a childhood hero as a man. Though I am hurt by his actions and his choices, I will never surrender my love for the performer Chris Benoit. Vince's actions should equal his ambition. He stands alone in many areas of life, especially business decisions. Three letters are an easy example of that.
X-F-L says it by itself. But he stuck by it. He should do the same here. Stand up enforce the testing even more and that is only if this is linked to the steroids. If he tests negative, then I see no reason as to why he would have to change anything. Possibly some psyche evaluations and treatment of veteran superstars.

I think an increased roster and a decreased schedule for individual superstars is a plus. It will relieve pressure on the men and women superstars give time to rest up mentally and physically and also give time to hit the gym without forcing a torturing schedule on their bodies. For the sake of the wrestlers and for the trainers I truly hope they do something, tired of losing our family members to stupid things like this.
