Hogan Reveals More Storylines

I honestly don't understand the need for people to attack each other on this and other forums I visit. I just don't get what people think they are accomplishing by doing so. It's quite ridiculous and childish.

You got a point Brian in Austin, if anyone on this forum can speak with authority on that aspect, it's me. Considering that I quite often get into tiffs with other users on here on issues that sometimes don't need to blow up like they do. It's just the partisan slants that a lot of wrestling fans I have seen take on these forums gets quite irritating and just undermines a lot about what we speak of on these forums.

I definitely acknowledge my part in contributing to this thread's denigration by attacking some of the posters on here. It's just that it gets very frustrating to read some of the stuff that people write because more often than not it's discussion that isn't constructive in any, way shape or form.

One of the users on this thread whose name I won't divulge out of respect in trying to resolve our differences, I private messaged to discuss where I went wrong on my part.

Again, we'll see where the Hogan storyline goes, whether it's going to be worth the investment or not is another matter. Just the same though, there are some good posters on here that I think can contribute to some good discussion on this topic. Unfortunately, I haven't done that as well as I could on this particular topic.

No worries as I don't take these things seriously but just thought you sort of went off like a rocket for no reason, but I understand your frustration. I frequent a golf discussion board where I see the same thing day in and day out and boy is it tiresome!!!

At any rate, let me say that I'm a fan of TNA wrestling and want to see it thrive as having more choices is better for we as fans. I have no problem in general with those who are fans of either company or not fans of either company and largely agree that the discussions need to be constructive.

With that said, I was a HUGE fan (re: mark) for "The Hulkster" back in the day and bought into the gimmick like I'm sure many others did. I LOVED WCW back in the Sting crow days v. NWO and loved the intensity they were able to bring to the screen. I like some of what TNA does but also find lots to be concerned about when I watch the product. I'm not a huge fan of what's going on with the knockouts division right now and wonder what the point is if it's not focused around the women's title. They've got talent on that side of the ball and I'm wondering why they aren't making better use of it. Winter, Love, ODB, Jackie, Mickie, Tara, Tessmacher, and others have the talent but just need (IMHO) better writing/booking.

I was really high on their signing of Anderson but have since been largely disappointed in how he's been utilized. I felt like he got a raw deal with WWE but since seeing him in TNA wonder if it wasn't more 50/50 with the recklessness in the ring issues. I've seen him a couple of times botch spots and worry that he's not as safe in the ring as he should be.

I'm concerned about how long it's going to take the writers to decide to move older talent aside (like Sting, Steiner, Angle, Flair (admittedly he's off tv right now), Ray, and Devon) so that they can truly create something significantly different than what appears to be a rehash of old WWE guys who were released or left the company.

I'm REALLY concerned that Bischoff and Hogan, until very recently, had been too visible on tv when I feel like their experience would be better served backstage in agent or adviser capacities.

Now don't get me wrong here and I know it seems like I'm bashing them, but I'm really not. What I'm saying here is I believe they have lots of opportunities in TNA to become something very different and very special if they would take the reigns off some of their younger talent and let them run. Heck, back in the day, guys like Sting, Steiner, Nash, Hogan, Hall, Waltman, and many, many others got that chance and made the most of it in WCW. I'm not saying I want a redo with new and younger faces, but am just pointing out the obvious that there are younger and talented wrestlers in the back who aren't getting a full opportunity to shine because there just isn't enough tv time.

I don't like the fact that Hulk seems to be giving away how a storyline is going to turn out, but I can see why he is doing it.

He is simply trying to get people interested in TNA and trying to encourage more people to watch the show, as what is the point of him going back to the red and yellow if there is noone watching to see it happen? The impact of his face turn would be nothing if there were no fans watching the show.

I think Hogan would probably prefer not to have to do something like this, he would rather millions of people tuned in every week and it be a huge deal when he turned face again but as TNA is still not drawing huge viewer numbers he is simply trying to create a bit of a buzz about the company and make people interested in seeing him become a good guy again.

As long as he doesn't go "well come to think of it, I can't wrestle" just before BFG. Last year it was an embarassement at BFG to see the "new biggest threat" in wrestling having a man on clutches leading it.
