GSB's Post-Vasectomy After Care LD - What Rhymes With Sterile?

How about everyone else?

I didn't have class from Wednesday through Sunday. I was orginally ethusiastic for the break - until I saw my work schedule. Forty-seven hours spaced out over my week with most of the shifts beginning early in the afternoon and running into late night.

Thanksgiving was a 4 - midnight shift.

What good did come out of it is that it gave me some extra motivation to find a different job.

Sucks to hear GSB. Kinda a quiet 4 day weekend here. Mostly spent it at the house. Trying to train our pup. I'm trying to remain patient but it gets so frustrating from time to time. Had a little bit of a breakthrough with him earlier with a slight relapse. But I will get him under control.

Most of family is either out of town or in conflict with each other so I spent Thanksgiving with my mother and God Parents up in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago/Illinois. We pretty much just ate and played an intense game of Uno, nothing spectacular but it was fun. Saw a movie which has to be one of my favorite one's of the year the next day and proceeded to spend the rest of the weekend playing video games with friends or watching Homeland for the first time. All in all pretty good.

Sorry it wasn't so great for you, hopefully things go better for you around Christmas/New Years.

Sorry to hear about the family conflict. Family crap never seems to get solved in my world, it usually either gets buried or forgotten.

Sounds like the weekend still went well. What movie did you see? Anything ever come of that girl you met at that b-day party?

The puppy/kid training parallel is kind of funny. Good luck.

I saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I don't think it's a movie you would necessarily be eager to see because it's more targeted towards the teens or people in their early twenties. Basically I really liked it because I can relate to the main character and what not. I'd venture to say it's one of the best high school related movies made in at least the last two three years.

Nice coming of age tale.

Funny thing about the girl I met is that I texted her, got a quick response and then didn't hear from her for like a week. Texted her again and then we started to talk more, but it was weird on and off stuff. Like I'd send her something and then she'd reply 30 min. to an hour later and then to one up her I'd do the same and then it kept going to on like that for a week. So basically we never got any real conversation going. I was ready to give up on it until I watched the movie I already told you about and decided to try again and we managed to have a nice conversation where we didn't wait an hour to send a message. She hasn't gotten back to me since last night but I'm fine with it, I have no idea what my intentions are with this girl but I've realize I can't rush things when it comes to love, she's not my only option anyway. I've just got to wait till things all fall into place.

Sounds insane.

What are you doing? Are those typical hours for you? Can you study on the job? Are you studying full time with that schedule? Do you at least get some overtime? Is the money worth it or even necessary?

Do you want me to get Todd to stage a protest? :)

I'm only working this job because I don't want my parents to have to pay for all my shit when it's really unnecessary of them. That being said, I still have a limited availability that they promised to flexibly abide by; right now I'm available for 15-20 hours a week. Imagine my excitement when I see 47 hours throughout the schedule.

Todd's booked I believe. There was uproar in the news recently over a hippy who's tied himself to a tree where the land was supposed to be flattened for the construction of a Wal-Mart Supercenter. I'll just assume that was him.

EDIT: Update on the Todd situation: authorities had him removed from the scene, but as soon as he got back home he got super blazed and discovered his hands.

So my buddies cousin friendzoned me today....After weeks of talking off and on via facebook getting to know each other and me asking her to dinner sometime she said she only likes me as a friend...harsh. My buddy called it though.

Bummer, clearly the only reasonable explanation is that your buddy and his hot cousin are having an incestous affair. You must start to spread this rumor to the masses.

Or she's a lesbian.

These are the only reasons why she couldn't possibly be naked in your bed right now trying to decide which of her hot girlfriends should join you next time in a threesome.

You weren't looking for some consoling , I hope? :)

Sucks man. But you're the Nightmare. What chicks don't like a good thrill?

No, but my kids are only almost five and 19 months.

I think eight is an appropriate age with today's product. It amazes me when I hear about forum members had started out watching the AE at age four. I think I started watching at around 10.

You should explain both your children ages with months, or else they feel feel like you love them differently. When I was a child my brother was described in years of age and I was described by how many years until I could get booted. My brother still feels like an ass.

It amazes me even more when they act like watching it at four gives them a better understanding. I probably watched it at that age with father but it I sure as hell don't remember and even more certainly wasn't using that time to compile arguments and information for an internet for years later.

I think I started watching at around 10.

My baptist parents wouldn't allow to watch until I was around 12. Although when my dad worked overnights, I would sneak to the bassment and watch. Whenever I did get caught, mom conveniently walked in during the worst possible segments. Needless to say, she was not a Val Venis fan.

I had long since moved out of the house during the AE but if had anyone had walked in during a Sable segment, things would be incredibly uncomfortable.

I know I watched it with my father when I was in like first grade but my parents learned that wasn't a good idea when they got a call that I was in trouble for telling my teacher to suck it...to be fair I didn't know what the crotch chop meant back then and if I did I would have done it to a girl I thought was cute not the teacher.

It's a shame you don't watch wrestling with your kids, GSB, as I'd be interested to know what being a wrestling fan and father would be like. Would you try to force your wrestling opinions on your kids, or would you let them develop their own ideas?

I've tried to have my son watch wrestling with me, he just doesn't care about it. It's kind of hard to get him to care about people just fighting when he's already discovered superheros. My boy is around the same age as GSB's I believe, he may have a similar situation.
