Lets look at this shall we...Edge says about how he used to have fun until John Cena stopped him...He said that once he deals with Cena, then he can be fun.

Add to that the fact that Vickie is now on Raw, and the potential leaving of Jeff Hardy makes me think that they're going to turn Edge face, which could give a huge new scope to his character once again.

I think Edge is just too good as a heel.
I dont know how they could make him a face again anytime soon, unless he has a fued with jericho.
Jericho can talk about how Edge always has to cheat to win his titles and that can make Edge driven to beat jericho cleanly.
But Edge is so hated by the majority of people that might just turn Jericho face.

Although I very much doubt this will happen, remember that you are talking about Jericho who, in my mind, is the very best at what he does both in the ring and on the mic. If the story was to make Edge face, then Jericho would ensure he would not be cheered.

I'd love to see that feud. In fact I think it needs to happen but not yet... maybe next year.

i have already voiced how much i want this to happen. edge is an awesome heel, but damn its gettin old. it wouldn't be that hard to do either in my opinion, but it has to be jericho to do it, nobody else will work. say if jericho wins the upcoming scramble match. the following week he opens the show bad mouthing the fans as usual. edge comes out and proceeds to make fun of him, not acting like his usual psycho self. later that night jericho pearl harbors him in whatever match edge is in and boom. edge is a face. sell it with the announcers and play it up for a couple weeks, its simple to me. if they seriously wanna play edge up to be a legend in the business, hes gotta turn face eventually. at least give him a moment up top where hes actually liked.

Edge going face would not really be a huge bad move at all. Yes Edge is an epic heel and has been that way for a while, but change is always nice. I mean if they want him to be face it's going to take a while for him to do it anyway. I mean he gets such great heat you would forget that he ever was a face to begin with. I'm in aggreance with natedamac88 that Jericho would have to be the guy to help that happen. Jericho and Edge are "friends" and by having one (Jericho) betray the other (Edge), we would see one face and one heel. If they try something along those lines I wouldn't be shocked to see Christan get involved someway or another, but that's for a different time and thread. As much as I would find it interesting to see Edge face again, I really don't see it happening, but I could very easily be wrong.

Perhaps Edge WOULD be good as a face. It's really not something I've considered before, but back in the day when he tagged with Hogan etc., he was a damn good face. He's just so much better as a heel today, it's harder to contemplate. It's funny how two of the three (probable) best tag teams of all time have both been World Champions - this is always the angle they could use to take Edge face again at some stage.

Edge as a face would work, but I think executing it now would be a bad move. Give it a few months, make his character slightly more likeable in that time, before throwing Jericho or a hugely pushed Morrison at Edge and seeing what happens.

The main problem for SD is then - who can be the top heels of the brand? Jericho, but then who? Kane?

The only way for this to work is to turn someone else heel. Offset everything. Right now, you have Edge, Jericho, Kane, and Morrison as a tweener at the moment. Not a good ratio of face to heels. Personally, I'd like to see Edge face again, because he's much funnier as a good guy and would be a top face.

It's just a matter of who would be heel. There's not much to choose from on SD!, so I say Edge keeps being heel for the time being, and if Jeff leaves, it could open the doors to a face turn. If Cena turns heel, it would be a DEFINITE Edge face turn, no matter what brand they're on.

Good thought, just don't see it happening.

Either Edge or John Morison are going to turn face because one of them will fued with jericho soon and both are seeming like tweeners right now. Smackdown ha too many faces (cm punk, hardy, mysterio, and taker) are all main evnt people right now so I think one more main event face will push down punk or hardy down to midcard permently since mysterio will be a focus since of the mexicn and puerto rican audience is necessary for smackdown. I think in all honesty that morison will turn and itlooks like the miz kick has turned him already.

Yeah i think Morrison is going to be turning face rather than Edge but i agree with you that Edge would be good as a face if turned correctly.

They could even look at turning CM Punk heel and Edge face. You could have Punk cash in his MITB against Edge and lose due to some kind of cheating by Edge. Punk starts attacking Edge sporadically on Smackdown eventually costing Edge the title to someone else, maybe Hardy or Jericho. Have Edge and Punk start a feud slowly turning eachother to face/heel respectivley.

That's just an idea, probably some flaws in it but i really see a Morrison face turn before a Edge turn.

they need to turn him face over a period of time not just few weeks. Edge is a better hell but we never have seen him face long enough to know if he can be better. if Jeff leaves big word if then yeah i say do it but time is a must. yes i do think it has to be Y2J that does it. but with Morrison looking like the one to turn face i dought we will ever see it happen.

Guess what this is folks. It's the John Morrison FACE Push Machine! Get ready for it. It'll be a match between Jericho and Morrison, a match which Y2J wins, but with some form of cheating. A foot on the ropes win would be AWESOME! Why? Jericho wins, Morrison still gets pushed because he loses no momentum. It took a cheating Jericho to beat me looks great on paper.

And besides, right now...Edge still needs to be heel. Morrison being a face is the right move at this point.
