Glorifiying The Worst - Colin Delaney

Dark Match Jobber
Ok, basically, a counteract on Hamler's thread.
Where he's taken the best and attempted to find the bad of them, I've taken the worst/most annoying etc and I'm seeing what good we can find of them. So, the 1st in my series (Which probably wont take off) is;

Colin Delaney!

Now, in the WWE, this guy was just a puppet for every wrestler. Beaten by Shelton Benjamin, Big Daddy V, Mark Henry, Kane, Khali and Miz & Morrison. He then found partnership in Tommy Dreamer, who they beat in a tag match against Miz & Morrison. They then lost in consecutive title matches.

All of this happened before Armando Estrada even offered him a contract. He had to gain a singles win to gain his contract. He beat Estrada for the title, only to then be beaten by guys again and again, used repeatedly as a jobber for the squashes. He then turned on Tommy Dreamer, costing him his ECW Title in Dreamers match against Mark Henry. He helped Estrada earn an ECW Contract by beating Dreamer. Then, in an Extreme Rules match, Dreamer beat Delaney, this being the last we ever saw of him.

In WWE, he achieved nothing, except an ECW Contract (Kayfabe).
In Indy Wrestling, he's won Tag Titles 2 times in NWA, once in Roc City & once in SCW.
He has been a singles champ twice in NWA, and is their current Empire Heavyweight Championship

Now, he may have achieved some in the business, but in WWE, he looked BAD. We never got to see any of his wrestling ability and he hid behind a wimpy personality. This is why he's one of the worst.

However, this thread is all about glorifying the boy.
There's not much to say from me, apart from that he's achieved a few good bits in Indy Wrestling, good on him.
Also, he's great for taking a bump. It's been proven in WWE. He took a lot in his time there, just constantly being beaten. I do believe if he hadn't been assigned into this role, then there may have been something going for him.

So, your turn, what do you have to glorify about Delaney?

Also, if there anyone who's interested in me doing some more of these, then give me some of the "worst" to glorify.

Let's see, what was Colin Delaney good at? Well, there is one specific catagory Colin was better than anyone in recent WWE history -- jobbing and selling. It's true, Colin could really sell injuries and bumps like no other I have ever seen.

Colin Delaney was incredibly light. Being light, helped his opponents out a lot whenever they did some kind of dominating move. Look at the Clothesline from Hell for example. JBL never really put a lot of power into the move. Throw in Colin, it looks like the most devistating maneuver in wrestling's history. Hell, he even made Shelton Benjamin look dominating. Delaney was best at a jobbing. Everyone knew he would amount to nothing in his WWE career other than a possible Tag Team Championship with the oh so boring Tommy Dreamer. I think Colin was terrible in the ring but there's no doubt his jobbing/selling ability was stellar.

Well I think this series of threads could become very good.

I think Colin Delaney has done very well for himself on the indy circuit but since I have not seen any off his matches and only heard about his title regains I am going to have to go with the bumps he could take. Now Colin Delaney bumps were some off the best in the WWE and also his selling was very good as well because if you look at this video he makes everyone look domating

I think Delaney was an excellent seller, as can be seen in the video already shown. Being so light his opponent was able to throw him around really easily, which made them look stronger and more dominant than ever. He is probably the best seller I have seen for a long time.

However, with his look, size and physique he was never going to be anything other than a punching bag and a jobber. Appearance wise he has absolutely nothing going for him, and nothing to make a promoter sit up and say, wow I want to push that guy.

He will never achieve any success in the big leagues, people his size just dont (although Spike Dudley was one exception to the rule), and I really dont miss seeing him on WWE tv at all.

Why not do a "gloryfying the worst" on Gillberg, Giant Gonzales or Mideon???
