holy crap this is maybe a quarter of the field for this thing and it is going to be amazing already. Add in La Sombra and some others that are already on the WWEs books this is exciting to say the least

Tozawa is a great, underrated get for this. Would be amazing to have in NXT.

ZSJ is a potentially early favorite, at least out of this field. I think once he's on the Network, one way or another, he's going to be in NXT full time. The demand will be too high once the audience gets to see him once.

I would say that there is a good chance Ibushi is NXT bound.

But would he be "wasted" in the Cruiserweight tournament? Might be a good way to introduce someone like him, especially if his English is not great.

I'm pretty sure they're putting him into the cruiserweight tournament. Graves pretty much confirmed it when he hinted towards it when he showed up during takeover

Really hope this tournament is successful. Semi-regular tournaments across all weight classes would be a really good feature to have on the network. WWE would have to probably grind them out the first 5 to 10 years (something I'm not sure they will commit to) if there is to be any chance that the tournaments become prestigous and mean something

There's absolutely zero chance that they would show and hype Ibushi on the Takeover show and then post an article on WWE.com speculating about his future in the WWE if they didn't already have a deal of some kind in place. Which is incredible, because Ibushi is the best cruiserweight style worker on the planet and he would do well in NXT.

I read earlier today that CHIKARA's Lince Dorado has also been confirmed, which is another nice addition. This is looking to be the most exciting thing this company has put together in years already, fucking Akira Tozawa?! All of the yes. All of it. Rumors are flying that Ricochet/Prince Puma could be next.

I could only tolerate about 7 minutes of that Middle Kingdom Wrestling crap. The commentary was shit and the match itself was pretty awful up to that point.

In terms of this tournament though I'm curious about it. I was a fan of the cruiserweights in WCW and wished they had done more with the Light Heavyweight title in WWE. I liked Essa Rios. Would have been nice to see some other decent cruiserweight type wrestlers with him back then. Besides Taka anyway.
