General Great American Bash Discussion

I don't think the match will be at the GAB. I've heard on other forums, that Natlaya has told people the title will be determined on a SmackDown soon.

They don't need this title. Some people weren't made to be champion and all I see this title doing is handing it to anyone that wants it.

I don't think that they should have Punk defend his title at The Bash. He'll get murdered by the crowd. What I'm suggesting is something different. It'll certainly be more intresting. They don't need to have both world titles defended on each and every PPV. There really isn't no need. What I'm suggesting is a nice little 8-man tag. Edge & HHH will be the main event anyway, so I don't see what difference it makes. There isn't really much point in making a new feud for the world champ anyway now. Summer Slam is next month, start something fresh then.

C.M. Punk, John Cena & Cryme Tyme vs. JBL, William Regal, Ted Dibiase & Cody Rhodes:

That is if Regal is back by then. Face it. Punk isn't as over as Cena, nor will be be the bigger star. But in a one-on-one match I'm almost cerain Punk would get booed out of the building. This way he probably won't. Also with Cryme Tyme in the team it assures WWE that he's at least the second biggest star on his team. He's also the second biggest star in the match. Against the hated JBL & Regal the fans are almost certain to cheer him. It also give the two tag teams a high profile match for once.

Where is Batista you say? He's angry about not being on the team. Thus the catalyst for his heel turn. Well him or somebody needs to turn heel. There's Jericho and, errm, that's it for headline heels on Raw.

But that ain't gonna happen.

Unsure about the Raw main event. But I'm guessing, Dreamer vs. Henry, Kofi vs. Cade, Cryme Tyme vs. Tibiase & Rhodes, HBK vs. Y2J, McCool vs. Neidhart & Matt Hardy vs. a selection of U.S. Title contenders.

Updated Predictions:

WWE Championship: Triple H vs. Edge
--Said it on Smackdown. Triple H retains, unfortunately, as they simply can't keep La Familia going on for much longer. The storyline has run its course. It just sucks that after all this, the people that end it are Punk, Batista, and HHH, rather than the Undertaker. I'd love to see Edge win the title from HHH, but it simply won't happen.

World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk vs. ???
--Now, this gets confusing, so follow me. Its very likely we'll see Punk versus Batista, JBL, OR Cena. However, there's also the possibility of a fatal-four between them, but I don't think that's the case as Punk looking dominant over 3 guys at the same time just seems odd. Now, there's also the possibility that we'll see something along the lines of Punk vs Batista, and another match on the card will be Cena/Cryme Tyme versus JBL/Rhodes/DiBiase. OR, we could have Cryme Tyme versus Rhodes/DiBiase for the tag titles and have a #1 contenders match between Cena/JBL/Batista/Mysterio, but that leaves nobody to challenge Punk, and Mysterio might be in a little feud with Santino.

Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels
--There's also the possibility that this turns into a tag team match, Y2J/Cade versus HBK/Kofi. But, then there's also the possibility that instead, we just have two matches, with Cade challenging Kofi for the Intercontinental title.

Diva's Championship: Natalya vs. Michelle
--If they do it on here instead of just on Smackdown. Either one could win, but I hope Natalya does. Michelle's one of the better faces out there in the women's division (certainly behind Mickie and Melina) but I just don't give a shit about her whatsoever lol. Natalya still needs to get a personality, though.

OTHER NOTES
--I still think that rather soon, they'll be moving the US and Tag Team titles back to Smackdown. Maybe Hardy and Morrison/Miz will be booked into matches at the GAB and lose them, but I can't see who yet. Hardy could very well lose to Benjamin, but who's there to challenge Morrison & Miz?

Great American Bash is the WWE Pay Per View I shall always NOT look forward to. Its always a horrid lineup. But they should have the players available to make this card good. I am a little shocked they took away the Americana feel. Even as a Canadian, I feel that the American feel is cool. Load the arena with Marines, army, airforcemen, ninja, and what no, it would ad a feel to a very boring pay per view. The only match that Is for certain is Edge vs Triple H I believe, and I pray Edge gets a belt again.

I could definately see Vickie bringing back the Undertaker at the bash to cost Edge his match, setting up 1 last match between them at summerslam where the loser leaves smackdown in a casket or buried alive match.

so my predictions are:

WWE title- Triple H. vs Edge. Triple H retains after a video of the Undertaker distracts Edge.

World title- Punk and Cena vs JBL and Batista. Batista turns heel, says Punk wouldnt have the title without him and helps JBL destroy Cena and Punk leading to this match.

HBK and Kofi vs Y2J and Cade. seems like they may be holding the singles match with HBK and Y2J off until summerslam, so i can see this match at the bash as a holdover to a gimmick match at summerslam

not sure what else they could add to this, but hopefully there will be some good matches.

Updated predictions:

WWE Championship
Triple H (C) vs. Edge
With The 'Rated R Superstar' just lately splitting with Vickie and her (in my opinion) going to bring the Undertaker back I see 'The Game' retaining.

World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk (C) vs. Batista
Batista assisted Punk to winning the Gold so he's going to be looking for a match. Punk to keep his run alive by defeating The 'Animal'.

Grudge Match
John Cena (w/ Cryme Tyme)vs. JBL (w/DeBiase & Rhodes)
This one is being hyped up so it looks like this motley lot are going to be involved in some sort of match. I see a brawl happening that causes a Double DQ.

ECW Championship
Mark Henry (C) vs. Tommy Dreamer (w/Colin Delaney)
With this storyline heading ECW right now, it looks like a clash is inevitable between these two.

Tag Match
Chris Jericho & Lance Cade vs. Shawn Michaels & Kofi Kingston
As said before they look to be saving a Jericho/Michaels match for SummerSlam so I'll go with a Tag Match (as I said before.)

6 Pack Challenge for the US Championship
Matt Hardy (C) vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Umaga
To get the Title off of Matt Hardy and on to SD! again WWE will have a 6 Pack Challenge. If done correctly then it may make Hardy look good.

Rey Mysterio's Return Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Santito Marella
A segment between these two happened this past week so a match between these two looks likely.

I wouldn't discuss the matches which haven't been made but the one which we do know is going to happen is the WWE Championship between Triple H and Edge.

Prediction:
Vickie Guerrero would arrange a surprise interference by The Undertaker which would cost Edge the match and would then start a Triple Threat storyline between Triple H, The Undertaker and Edge for the WWE Championship.

WWE Title - HHH Vs. Edge

I think the whole Edge-Vickie breakup will turn out to be a set-up and they will re-unite and cost HHH the title, leading to a rematch at Summerslam.

World Title - CM Punk Vs. John Cena Vs. JBL

I see Punk retaining by pinning JBL, afterwards Batista attacks Punk and demands a title shot since he handed the title to him by destroying Edge, he gets the title shot at Summerslam and wins, leading to a long run and eventual feud with Cena, probably culminating at Wrestlemania.

Shawn Michaels Vs. Chris Jericho

I don't think this feud will end until Summerslam, so Jericho probably wins here, maybe after Lance Cade interferes?

No. 1 Contender Match - Jeff Hardy Vs. Mr. Kennedy Vs. Umaga Vs. MVP

I think HHH-Edge will be the main event of Summerslam, so I don't know when the winner of this would get their title shot, but I think Hardy or Kennedy wins.

US Title - Matt Hardy Vs. John Morrison

I think this would be a good feud, although Morrison could be in a tag team match, but if it happens, I think Hardy retains.

Tag Team Title - Cody Rhodes & Ted Di Biase Vs. Cryme Tyme

Cryme Tyme are the only team on raw I can think of for this match since it seems like there not even going to continue a feud with Hardcore Holly, but anyway, I definitely don't see a title change here.

Handicap Match - Mark Henry Vs. Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney

The stipulation will probably be Dreamer has to win to get a title shot, and he does somehow, maybe Henry getting dq'd, counted out etc.

WHY EDGE IS NOT A LOCK TO FACE TRIPLE H.:

Has it ever accured to anyone yet that Edge and Vickie Guerrero got into a major fight on Smackdown, that ultimately (seemingly) split them apart? Vickie and Edge brokedown and went at each other all show, ending with Edge calling off the wedding.

As a result, I'm completely believing Vickie Guerrero will put Edge through a ton of challenges just to earn the spot that he never technically deserved. In these challenges, I believe Edge could or more importantly rather would, be stopped short and end up not having the match against Triple H.

I seriously don't believe the W.W.E. would waste this much of a high profile match-up, on such a meaningless Pay Per View card. This is a Summerslam, or Survivor Series match for sure. Hell, its honestly a Wrestlemania match, packaged, sealed and closed with a nice little bow wrapped on it. So why push it instantly for the former W.C.W. classic Pay Per View? It doesn't make sense. (short of the W.W.E. really hurting for money, which is rather hard to believe.)

My Theory: While in complete honesty I don't see this happening, the fact is its a thought that could happen.

Edge lost his World Heavyweight Championship to C.M. Punk, in which the Championship went to Raw as a result. Edge is still technically deserving of a rematch for his former Championship. That much he DOES NOT have to prove he deserves, as the Championship rematch clause is in practically every Champion's "contract."

If Vickie puts Edge through all these "challenges" I could greatly see Edge telling her off, then cashing in (pun intended) his rematch clause against Punk for the Great American Bash.. in which.. (this is the point)

If Edge were to win the World Heavyweight Championship, he'd transfer off of Smackdown, away from Vickie Guerrero, to Monday Night Raw.. as their new Champion. Since Edge is the most dominate heel in the W.W.E., especially right now, if not ever.. it'd make complete sense for this to happen. However its really hard to assume it could happen.. merely because they'd (creative) have to do something they haven't done a great job of lately. Work.

No Will. Too much logic there son. WWE are booking Edge vs. Triple H at The Bash. It's going to happen. I'm sure there will be a swerve of some kind. But the end result will still be this high profile match, at a ''B'' show. It is WrestleMania quality. But this is Triple H. Considering he wanted to defeat Edge easily last year, and Edge requested a move. I'm almost certain this match is happening on HHH's request. The Game will win this month in a regular match. Then at Summer Slam Edge will win. But not in a normal match. It'll have to be a gimmick. Because that's how it is with Triple H.

Yeah, that seems right. Apart from the "Edge will win at SummerSlam" bit. Which I agree is logically correct, but knowing Triple H? I can't see him permitting Edge to go over him cleanly, even in a gimmick match, even if that gimmick match was Tables, Ladders, and Chairs. Noo, noo, if Edge is going to win, it will have to be the result of a screwjob, and quite frankly I think we're all fed up of seeing Edge win every single fucking match - even against CM Punk - via interference or Vickie playing games. I do not have high hopes for this feud. The only hope is that Edge has enough friends to get a fair deal for himself. The seeming - they may get back together - breakup of La Familia may help, as that will surely force Edge to move away from the slightly-tired "Ultimate Opportunist" and back to being the truly badass hardcore Rated-R Superstar we're all longing for again.

Ok, sorry, some of that is slightly off-topic. Right, where was I? Yes, so, Trips will win at the Bash, get screwed over at SummerSlam, and get the belt back again soon after, by which time the feud will have become so degenerated that no one cares any more. What really needs to happen is Trips wins by DQ at the Bash, gets his butt kicked at SummerSlam in some kind of Rated-R way, and Edge goes on to feud with Kennedy. Now that's a feud I'd really like to see: if nothing else, we'd finally learn if there's really substance to the Kennedy hype.

Basically, Triple H? Get out of the ME scene, drop down a level, start putting some people over. At the moment you're making everything as boring as fuck. We're all dying to see Hardy and Kennedy move up...maybe even Umaga and MVP. Get the hell out of the way to make room for them.

I would hope that after 10 years with the WWE, Edge would have at least some say in where his character is going, even if HHH is married to the bosses daughter and has backstage pull. He strikes me as the type of guy who won't take someone's crap and politics.

What worries me though is that Edge has been so amazing these last few months, good old Trips hasn't become seething with rage that Edge is out performing him. Therefore, he must be taught a lesson, so he goes to his father in law and begs him to squash Edge and show everyone who the man is.

My greatest fear with the Triple H/Edge match is that it will make Edge look weak. He has been so dependent on his faction for his past few title defenses, I just can't see how he can possibly win without The Family. Triple H's need to be dominant and Edge's opportunistic character doesn't mix well at all. I'm worried that this match will be just like Triple H vs King Booker.

Hopefully they use this match to repackage Edge as more of a ruthless Rated-R superstar than opportunistic. I like the "Ultimate Opportunist" character and he should still use it, but not be completely dependent on cheating to win. I'd like to see a mix of a ruthless and opportunistic character.

It's obvious that there is going to be some sort of swerve to this match since it's definitely a high profile match that we haven't seen before. I think this feud will end at Summerslam. Unfortunately, I doubt that Edge will get the better of the feud unless it's some heavily gimmicked match with a screw job finish.

oh, dont remind us of King Booker and HHH!!! I know its off-topic slightly, bt if HHH buries Edge the way he buried Booker, we're screwed going into Summerslam 'cos then no-one will care about the WWE Championship match.

Im hoping that Hardy and Kennedy will get pushes soon, 'cos, although it will never happen, I quite like the idea of Hardy vs Kingston for the Intercontinental title at the Bash. Lets face it, both guys would put on a great match and moreover, it could give both them and the belt the push they need.

Instead of Cade vs. Kofi it now looks like it'll be Birchill instead. I'm happy about that. I wouldn't expect him to win. But he's on a PPV, in a title match. It's a step in the right direction. A match for Kofi against either Cade or Birchill will get boring cghants. At least Cade can now show his face in the Y2J/HBK match.

I for one am actually excited about this PPV. I think WWE has been trying hard to walk in the right direction as of late. I think the draft was wonderful and am very excited about the potentially awesome fueds to come in the future. Batista vs CM punk is going to be a good one. It reminds me of Batista vs Kennedy 2 years ago at the bash. HHH Vs Edge has potential to be great, but I doubt they will put it all out there on the line since they will have atleast one more match. I like what you are saying about the pull that HHH has backstage, I just hope it isnt a squash...Jericho vs Michales has that old WWE vibe to it, for me atleast. I'm excited about the high spots in this match, should be great, they both put on a hell of a show. The newly added Brawl match between Cen and JBL should be pretty awesome. They can potentially have a lot of spots in this match. Cena has to be the victor in this. I'm sure he will get a huge push heading towards SS. Cena vs Batista for the gold? They already have 4 solid matches and can only get better with the additions of Umaga, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Miz and Morrison and others. I can't wait for this PPV.

So where we stand now i can tell you that this pay per view will SUCK. Triple H vs. Edge is predictable, and unless they give Batista a long-awaited personality their match is going to suck too. John Cena vs. JBL in a Parking Lot Brawl? I can only see Cryme Tyme getting involved somehow... and I don't care who wins it... And as for Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, they're starting to piss me off. I love Jericho, even as a heel, but the way HBK is playing his character right now makes me not care about this at all. This is the man who like... BROKE HIS BACK in a casket match against the Undertaker over TEN years ago and he came back and started wrestling again. . . now he can't play because of an eye boo-boo? That's just stupid.

The only other matches I can really predict right now without feeling ******ed would be Mickie James vs. Jillian Hall and Natalya vs. Michelle McCool. Other than that I'm guessing ECW Championship match with Mark Henry (w/Tony Atlas) vs. Tommy Dreamer... and possible IC and US title matches.

My problems/thoughts with this ppv...

Cena vs. JBL - Sure the whole Cryme Time/Cena war with JBL and his Marshal law is fun, but these two so recently feuded that you would think with the draft and the new direction that they could come up with something better and fresh.

CM Punk vs. Batista - This is scary because I like CM Punk as a wrestler, but I don't think he is a main eventer at Batista's caliber yet, not to mention the clash of styles. I love that CM Punk is champ, again for the freshness of it. It's just that, I watched as CM Punk jobbed to much less since WM 24 and I always wondered how they could not have someone on a win streak when they have money in the bank!

HHH vs. Edge - This match will depend solely on the build. These are 2 guys who could have the match of a lifetime and have it mean little without the proper build

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho - Great build on this so far. I think they should not over-do the whole eye injury. This could be the match of the night.

Overall I think it will be ok. I just got done watching the Rock DVD and it made me further my bitterness at the lack of that special umpf there used to be going into a ppv. I think this is largely in part to the brand split, but i think we all know that it's been stale for way too long. With the draft and the recent enjoyable Raws, I think we could have a good show on our hands. Hopefully the following night on Raw will hold the momentum and keep it going.

I'm more excited for the GAB than I have been for a WWE non Wrestlemania PPV in a long time. This is what the draft is suppose to bring, feuds and matches that we haven't seen before or at least haven't been done to death. Had it not been for the draft, this would be HHH vs Cena, Edge vs Batista, and Kane vs Henry, sound familiar?

I'm not too excited about Batista going for another World Title, but at least its against a fresh opponent. The match is a wildcard and that alone has my attention. Y2J vs HBK has been done, but the feud has an actual story and Jericho is progressing it greatly even without Michaels' presence. HHH bores me to death. I hadn't watched RAW regularly for a while due to him. He's slow and incredibly stale, as routine as it gets. However, Edge keeps my interest in nearly everything he does. I didn't really get sick of the Taker feud because he was so good. JBL vs Cena seems old, but there is new life to this fued. With the presence of Cryme Tyme its only a matter of time until Rhodes and Ted Jr jump in and take JBL's side. Then we can have some faction action that can come to an end at Survivor Series.

There is a lot of potential with this card. Coming off of NOC, they need to get the midcard belts on here so they can be re-established as something special.

Looks like MVP/Kennedy will happen. This might appear to be something of a dream match for some. But I think it'll be awful. Kennedy started off as a favourite over the net, then when he moved to Raw that all chaged, about the same time that people were starting to like MVP. I was the same. But I've now finally settled on the opinion that both are pretty average, but with oodles of potential. This will probably be a Mania main event at some point. And like most Mania main events everyone will talk about how great it is. When in fact it's absolute rubbish.

Edit: I should have waited till the end of the match. Umaga comes out at kicks Kennedys arse. It's Umaga/Kennedy at The Bash. Kennedy/MVP at Summer Slam. My bad.

I'm taking my 9 yr old Godson to the bash, bought tix during the pre-sale. We were both pumped to know we were going to see a PPV. Now after seeing what appears to be the final card we are a little disappointed. Sure the 2 big title matches and the Jericho Michaels match have a lot of potential but the rest of the bouts are a who cares affair. My Godson said to me, how can they have 2 PPVs in a raw without Jeff Hardy, and have no tag title match, no big show, no Mysterio after he finally returns, and no Matt Hardy either. I have to agree with him, we will go and hopefully have a great time and hopefully be shocked by a great show (doubt it) but him and I are pretty disappointed by the favorites we will not be seeing after shelling out big bucks for PPV tix.:smashfreakB:

I personally think the Bash will be horrible the only match that will be worth watching is HBK vs Y2J after that its real iffy HHH isn't losing to Edge; who cares if Mark Henry has the ECW belt; we all know Cena will beat JBL and Main Event Summerslam; but I do want to see if they let Punk keep the belt which I think they should its no way Khali should have a longer title reign than Punk.

FINAL GREAT AMERICAN BASH PREDICTIONS

WWE Championship - Triple H vs. Edge
--Sadly, Edge has absolutely no shot at winning this match. I'd love it if they booked him to do so, but they won't. Hopefully, Edge doesn't come out looking bad. If he has to lose, I'd like to see the Undertaker cost him the match, instead of just the typical "HHH destroys everyone" scenario...even though the latter is much, much more likely.

World Heavyweight Championship - CM Punk vs. Batista
--I'm standing by what I said before. Kane will come out and either cost Batista the match or attack them both afterwards, leading to a grudge match at Summerslam between Kane and Batista.

ECW Championship - Mark Henry vs. Tommy Dreamer
--Laugh it up, cause this thing will be hilariously bad. Dreamer has zero credibility in this match. If it was an Extreme Rules situation, he'd have a very minimal chance, but a standard match, it just equals Mark Henry going over and looking dominant, despite dominating someone who consistently looks weak enough to be Beth Phoenix's next victim after Santino.

Grudge Match - Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho
--This could go either way, but when I have to bet on VBookie, I'm going for Jericho. He lost his last two matches.

NYC Parking Lot Brawl - John Cena vs. JBL
--This could go either way as well. Ideally, they'll just have Cena beat JBL so much that JBL is never able to retain a main event status, and subsequently retires. But, you can't rule out having DiBiase and Rhodes give JBL the win, only to be stopped from continuing to beat Cena down by Cryme Tyme.

United States Championship - Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin
--I'd be surprised if Shelton doesn't take the title to bring it back to Smackdown.

WWE Tag Team Championship - John Morrison & The Miz vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle vs. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder vs. Jesse & Festus
--Morrison and the Miz are losing their titles here, but neither are being pinned. I'd bet my money on Ryder or Hawkins stealing the pin on either Hornswoggle or Jesse.

WWE Divas Championship Match - Michelle McCool vs. Natalya
--I'm really rooting for Natalya, but Michelle seems to be the one they want to put the title on.

TheOneBigWill's predictions for the Great American Bash:

W.W.E. Championship: Triple H. (c.) v. Edge: After Smackdown it's almost guaranteed Edge won't be winning the W.W.E. Championship at the Bash, much less anytime soon at all. My bet is that Edge attempts to cheat any way he can, but Vickie starts making Edge's life a living hell, and ends up helping Triple H., either by changing the rules as the match goes along, or by simply stopping Edge from cheating all together.

Another possibility is the Undertaker returns as Edge is about to pick up the victory, which distracts Edge and Triple H. ends up winning the match. Any way you wanna cut it, Triple H. retains. The only question I'm asking myself is why does this match seemingly view Triple H. as being unable to defeat Edge, without Vickie's help? I doubt it'll be a regular single's match, it's too fresh off the disaster that was Edge & Vickie's wedding.

World Heavyweight Championship: C.M. Punk (c.) v. Batista: How good is C.M. Punk? This match is going to prove that I would come to gather. I doubt Punk drops the Championship, the question is more surrounding whether or not they allow Punk to pick up a clean finish over Batista before Kane interrupts and lays both of them out.

In the end, my guess is C.M. Punk wins by DQ after Kane comes out when Batista seems to have the match won, only for Kane to shove Batista out of the way, attack Punk giving him the victory and then proceeds to lay Batista out after the match is already given to Punk. Either that or a no contest. But the fact is, if Punk is to be seen as a credible Champion, he MUST win this match, by pinfall, over the Animal.

E.C.W. Championship: Mark Henry w/ Tony Atlas (c.) v. Tommy Dreamer w/ Colin Delaney: How a squash match made the Pay Per View is beyond me, but this is doubtfully going to be anything more than an impressive (if you wanna call it that) show of power by Mark Henry, with Dreamer barely hanging in there to make this under 5 minutes.

Mark Henry retains is my prediction, and if Dreamer wins, then I'll be shocked more than ever. Even by DQ standards, I just don't see them jobbing Henry in any way, shape, or form.. especially to Tommy Dreamer. Anyone who feels this is going to be anything other than a squash is wishful thinking and living in the old E.C.W.

New York City Parking Lot Brawl: J.B.L. v. John Cena: If John Cena wins this match, I give up all hope that the W.W.E. creative team knows what the hell they're doing. We've seen two previous Pay Per View matches that J.B.L. was easily rumored to win, only to see Cena over come the odds and defeat J.B.L. both times.

This is the best way for Cena to lose, without hurting him. However, if J.B.L. loses this match, that'll mark his 3 straight Pay Per View loss to John Cena in their series, and he'll have lost any ability to be a Main Event threat of any kind. (not that he was such a great threat before) In the end, J.B.L. should win would be my guess. I think the perfect way to do it, is by allowing Ted DiBiase Jr. & Cody Rhodes assist J.B.L., then have Cryme Tyme attack them after it's over.

Grudge Match: Chris Jericho v. Shawn Michaels: I could see this match going back and forth with either man winning, and the point still being proven. In the end, Jericho needs to win but my prediction is a No Contest.

Nothing has been said, made or otherwise done to make this match an anything goes contest. H.B.K. and Jericho have been tearing each other apart for weeks on Raw now, and there is no reason they should suddenly accept the rules of a match to wrestle. This by all rights shouldn't even be a wrestling contest, it should be a straight up fight.

Jericho needs a victory over H.B.K. on Pay Per View, to make him stay above water (so to speak) in this feud. H.B.K. defeated Jericho at Judgment Day, when technically I think Jericho should've really won that match. If H.B.K. wins again, then this feud is over and dead before it ever truly kicks into another level.

However I will say this much. Shawn Michaels could pick up the victory, only for Cade to lay him out and Jericho & Cade then proceed to beatdown Shawn after the bell. That would work, but at the same time still hurt Jericho. It'd only help Cade. That is until Cade jobbed to H.B.K. too.

Tag Team Championships: Fatal Four Way: The Miz & John Morrison (c.) v. Hawkins & Ryder v. The Family Finlay v. Jesse & Festus: I just got done saying it. This is the best way to get the Tag Team Championships off Morrison & The Miz, without actually hurting them.

Either way, you have a heel team and a face team that are capable of taking the loss without it effecting them. Hornswoggle could be easily defeated by Hawkins and Ryder, while Hawkins and Ryder could be easily defeated by Jesse and Festus. That leaves Miz & Morrison without having to take the loss.

I think Jesse & Festus would, or rather should win this match and carry on the Tag Team division. They're the only other real team, that isn't pathetic. Hawkins and Ryder haven't been built as anything. Sure, they were running along side the Main Event Champion at one time, but what did they do for themselves? Nothing. Meanwhile, if I see the midget pick up the victory and win a tag title, it'll single handedly kill the division just like he did the cruiserweight division.

On the flip side of this, if Miz & Morrison retain, in my opinion that'll help them become one of the better Tag Teams of all time. This is by far their hardest challenge. The only thing that would've made this match even worse for them, would've been the Hardy's replacing Finlay & Hornswoggle. I'm personally hoping for a T.L.C. match of sorts at Summerslam, if Miz & Morrison retain.

Diva's Championship: Michelle McCool v. Natalya: To crown a new secondary Women's Champion for Smackdown. This match could and likely will go back and forth. I think Natalya would make the better first Champion, but lately I'm starting to wonder who the opponents could be for each. Victoria would make a great first opponent for McCool, while Cherry and Maria would be suitable but nothing good for Natalya.

That's making me believe McCool will end up winning this match, and I'm not a fan of liking that. Whoever wins will make history, and I feel that should go to Natalya winning. However since Natalya should become everything great in the Women's division for year's to come, I think McCool could just hang onto history by becoming the first Diva's Champion. McCool likely won't amount to anything else, so it makes more sense to give her the first spot.. unfortunately.

Rumored:

United States Championship: Matt Hardy (c.) v. Shelton Benjamin: Outside of Shelton Benjamin picking up a non-title victory over Hardy a couple weeks back, there has been absolutely no push for this.

Everyone was hoping it'd happen when Benjamin went over off the draft. If this match does indeed happen, it'll give everyone what they wanted. Yet at the same time, there is no good reason why Shelton Benjamin deserves this Championship. Matt Hardy retains is my prediction.

It makes no sense to give Benjamin this title, when they've built Hardy for well over a year and thus far he's only feuded with Chavo Guerrero. Hardy needs a couple more feuds with the likes of Carlito, The Miz & John Morrison. So Benjamin gets to be a victim.

Overall Thoughts: I've been going on about how T.N.A. does nothing but throws shit at the wall to fill their B-Show p.p.v.'s.. well, this is a B-Show p.p.v. for the W.W.E. and nothing important other than to get them to Summerslam. The question is, will Summerslam mean anything? For the previous couple of years, I haven't really seen great matches happening at Summerslam.

At any rate, I don't think this p.p.v. will be anything special. Triple H. v. Edge is a Mania sized match-up, yet it isn't being built, pushed or even thought of as such when it assumably headlines the Bash.

Punk has yet to Main Event since becoming Heavyweight Champion, short of his match against J.B.L. the same night he won. I doubt seriously Punk will come to mean anything as Champion, and I'm already more interested in seeing Kane appear than caring whether Punk will break Batista's nose.

Jericho & H.B.K. would be such a better contest had they of made it a Street Fight. I'll never say I'm tired of seeing these two wrestle in single's matches, but I will say I'm upset if they start ending in no-contest finishes because this is a heated feud that will surely bring outside interference and weapons into the mix.

I love how this is the first (real) Pay Per View since the draft, and we don't see Jeff Hardy, M.V.P., Mr. Kennedy, Umaga or the Big Show. Smackdown got the best draft deal, and they still end up shafted on the p.p.v. card. Seriously, do I really care about Tommy Dreamer & Mark Henry? No. I'd rather see M.V.P. v. Mr. Kennedy. Do I give any care about crowning a new Diva, Champion? No. I'd rather see the Jeff Hardy v. Matt Hardy match-up on Pay Per View.

In the end, I won't hold my breath on this Pay Per View shocking and amazing me, but it should be impactful none the less. It has several matches that likely won't end with a positive winner or loser, but instead a thrown out result. None the less, it should be filled with chaos.

Predictions:

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Edge

Triple H wins this only for Edge to take it at Summer Slam in a gimmick match. Look at this like No Mercy. Replace Edge with Orton. Bioth come out fresh and have a singles match. Triple H wins. Then later on they have a gimmick match and Triple H ''puts over'' Edge. So the end result is that the heel gets the title. But Triple H is in no way made to look inferior.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Batista

This will be awful. Two years on the main roster and the only quality singles Punk match that comes to mind is the match with Morrison where he won the title. Batista has only had quality matches with Taker & Edge. I doubt I'll be wrong in thinking this won't be great. Punk wins. I'm expecting a heel turn by one of them. But I say that every month.

ECW Champion Mark Henry vs. Tommy Dreamer

Can't wait for this. Does anybody actually think that Dreamer stands a chance? This match is only happening because Finlay is busy at the moment. It'll be Finlay/Henery at Summer Slam and then we'll get the feud that nobody has been waiting for Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry. The only thing these two share is initials.

WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way

Really looking forward to this. For no reason other than it's different. Hawkins & Ryder take the win. Actually does anybody see Chavo & Neeley becoming a fith team? Probably won't happen. But it would make it more intresting.

John Cena vs. JBL in a NYC Parking Lot Brawl

I hope that this is half as good as their I Quit match. So far this feud has been poor. JBL wins when the Raw tag champs come out and help him.

Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho

I can't get excited. I've seen it several times before. Yes it'll be good. But I want something new. That being said this feud has been great. Jericho has looked the best he has since his return. His heel work is usually pretty dull. But he's just like he was during his feud with Cena. And I think Cade is going to turn into something great. Y2J victory.

Michelle McCool vs. Natalya (Divas Championship)

Natalya wins.

Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin (US Championship)

I can't see it on WWE.com. But anyway. Hardy wins.

Overall:

It'll be a good PPV, and it's different. Only two matches are from previous PPV's. So if anything each match should have a slight curiosity factor.
