I believe that mentors are a great idea in the sense that the "mentee" would listen to the advice from the person they are technically looking up to. In that sense it means they would benefit from it by having a better discipline.

You think Xfear started as the current poster we see before us? He started out just like everyone else. Macios has had a rough patch but has shown that he can post. A good platform for him to build on.

To add though,
I think early posters NEED a mentor of some kind in order to be successful in the long run here on WZ, or at least someone to look up to. You learn from your mistakes if the person setting you straight is someone you respect. And you learn the "do"s and "don't"s by watching what the higher-ups do. I didn't have anything official, but I go out of my way to ask advice. Some posters are too skiddish or proud to do that though. If I get to the point that people respect me, the first thing I'd do is go out of my way to help newer posters.

The thing is Crock is that Macios in the Cage is much different outside of The safety of The Cage. He has a good knowledge that actually surprised me when he first came out. With time he can improve like most posters do on here.

Most shocking thing about this thread? It went 13 pages and Crock didn't use "mod" in any of his posts.
