Okay. It's been going on for over a month now. This being my first post, I feel it's fair that I don't hold back with how I feel about this so-called ECW.
First off; It's a disgrace to ECW and what it stood for. Raven and Todd Gordon have said this and their right. You can't re-start the revolution. Big Show holding that world title is an insult to every single guy that wrestled for ECW in it's true form. I'm including with that the guys that are no longer with us, god rest their souls. Guys like Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy, 'Hotstuff' Eddie Gilbert, Brian Pillman, The Public Enemy, Pitbull #2, and Chris Candido. The Big Show holding on to that belt and I don't care what RVD did, is an insult and brings nothing but dishonor to what it stood for and to the guys that put their bodies on the line for that company. This shows further proof that the WWE and ANYTHING it touches has become old, stale, boring and flat out painful to watch. Rhino, The Dudley Boyz (And yeah I know they're called Team 3-D but what's Vince gonna do, Sue me?) Vinny Mac who was once a pioneer with pro wrestling has now become nothing less than a cancer. And the same fans he tends to censor and shun away and by that I'm talking about the real ECW fans, are the ones that have the guts to say that we don't want to watch this same old tired garbage. That we want ECW as it was. None of this "Extreme Rules" when we all know that ECW was nothing but Extreme. I don't care what the ratings say. Vince's abomination that he calls ECW will not succeed. With Vince McMahon, pro wrestling itself HAS no future.
However, in the months I've watched TNA, I look at it as not a joke and place for WWE/WCW outcasts but the future of wrestling. Because they are innovative. Because they do moves that the WWE won't have the guts to try. And the X Division to me shows that pro wrestling still does exist without all of that soap opera dribble. Just the entire roster shows promise that we may be witnessing the evolution of pro wrestling. Guys like AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt, Ron Killings, Christian Cage, etc. All of these guys and more are guys that the WWE wouldn't even raise an eyebrow to. It's just pleasant knowing that pro wrestling organizations can actually still listen to the fans. Vince wouldn't know how to do that if it reached up and sucker punched him.
Bottom line, TNA is the evolution and future of pro wrestling. The WWE in it's current state along with the seudo-ECW, is nothing more than the damnation, destruction, and all in all end of pro wrestling.
