FromtheThread

Somehow Tdigs makes all of these threads in the Bar Room and I don't have the slightest feeling of wanting to invoke the Tim Rule.

You n00bs should take note.

Yes sir. Probably should have said "slightest feeling of wanting to argue for the Tim Rule" or something of that sort.

I would, but some zombie mothers probably wouldn't like that.

I skipped Logic this morning, which is fine since it was a review day and review days aren't counted for attendance. I'm about to have to sneak over to Kimpel for my 2 o'clock English Lit class, though. It's across the street...but still. Zombies are out and about.

Oh, and I'm slightly annoyed that my officer transition stuff is at 12:30pm tomorrowz. I had to cancel my counseling appointment. Guh.

Not quite. I'll watch it, and I can enjoy myself. But stuff like a blatant overuse of blood, a horrible Ric Flair, or sometimes very sketchy storylines leave me in awe of the fact that they draw a 1.0 after the cameras turn off.

But, you know, I'm a fan when I'm watching it.

TNA wasted a lot of money by having the title change on IMPACT. It would've been a lot better had the match been on PPV.

I have to agree with the overuse of blood part, in the least. Blood was like, the exclamation point on a VICIOUS chairshot (The Angle/Lesnar/Show match from Vengeance 2002 comes to mind.) Now it's become associated with any sharp object.

How come no one gets busted open by an impact wrestling move anymore? Why's it gotta be a fucking cheese grater?

Need viewers to buy the PPV, plus I didn't expect this at ALL. I didn't believe RVD won til like, 15 seconds after he got the pin.

Trust me, this was a good move.

OK, but people seem to forget that not only was this RVD's first TNA title win, but his first match with AJ as well. I think that alone would've got some buys if it was the main event of a PPV.

And since both RVD and Hardy are massive draws with today's crowd, having them in the main event of IMPACT would've still drawn in plenty of viewers.

Then how much is an RVD vs Hardy title match going to draw? :P

In the WWE, even after their "no blood" policy we're still seeing wrestlers getting busted open from stiff shots or something of that nature. It's hilarious that people shit on the WWE for lack of blood, but completely overlook the fact that it's still there, just used drastically less.

Then they watch TNA, and say "Oh, that makes sense. Let's have every wrestler from Angle and Anderson to Flair and Hogan bleeding all over the arena. That makes much more sense than a random shot to the face during a PPV main event creating that super effective, rarely seen blood."

Are you arguing that RVD as champion won't draw more viewers to the PPV? His first title defense? If he's such a draw, which I highly doubt anyway, it should throw the ratings through the roof.

Hardy aside, I can't fucking WAIT for RVD vs Joe. RVD can sell like crazy, and with Joe coming back with his old gimmick (I think), RVD could make him look wicked fucking powerful.

So...a fatter, not as good as before Samoa Joe?

Now I see why Battlez loved the dude so much.
