So yeah I got turned down for a prom date because I'm too much fun. My best friend's step mom has this cheerleader who she is trying to get a date for her prom. So she was gonna take my friend (who is quiet and anti-sociable) and he rejected. So I was suppose to be the back up plan. And I would have went, as I went to my prom solo and it sucked big time and no one should have to go through that. But instead of asking me my best friend told me today that I was too much fun, so they aren't sure I'm a good idea since she is quiet and shy. I found it humorous and felt the need to share it lol.

I didnt go to prom becuase I was so poor that I didnt even have a bed when I was 17. So yea, the prom was pretty much out of the question. lulz

I was VERY close to not going to my prom because my "date" ditched me two weeks before for a somewhat "abusive" person. I don't even wanna call this guy a man. This girl and I have been friends for 20 years. I had a backup plan though (thank god) and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Hell you don't need money or a nice car, or be in a band to get girls.

That's what we call Po Pimpin.

All you need is confidence, ma man. I didnt learn that TIL I HAD the car and money though, and got some that there confidence.

Actually iwouldnt call what I have confidence. Indifference. Equally (moreso?) intoxicating

Indifference leads to intrigue and mystery.

But yes, having the car and the money definitely boosts the confidence up and makes it far easier.

1) Dawn of War II is done downloading, and I'm merely 24 hours away from having the entire 56 GB of West Wing finished. Buh.

2) I didn't go to the prom. Don't regret it.

3) Confidence will get you girls. The ones I pick up are through nothing more than being fun, smiling, and maintaining eye contract. Oh. And being funny. Don't forget making her laugh.

I went to two proms. Why you ask? Well one chic who I didn't know (absolutely gorgeous, I was covered in popcorn oil and sweeping floors) randomly came up to me and asked me to go to her prom. Pretty sweet deal, I got a free prime rib dinner, and some booty later that night.

The other one, basically same concept only I knew who she was prior to going.

Number 3 has done me zero good lol. I went to prom, like I said, it sucked (mainly because I went by myself). I'm more of the friend to every girl I meet because I'm fun and loveable, but not in a relationship. Oh well, their lost. I just find it funny that my best friend's mom doesn't want me to go with this girl she is trying to find a date and she said she is the only person she'd trust her with (besides my other friend), but I'm too much fun. It humors me.

Friend Zone? Easy to avoid if you know what you're doing.

Dude, friendzone is way easy to avoid. Step one, don't go for the big loud hug everytime you see your lady friends. If she goes for the hug, make sure it's a side hug and you're talking to someone else. Step two, don't be a pussy. Step 3 - ????? Step 4 - Profit.

Sorry X.

We have two "proms" here in NI. They take place in Year 13 and Year 14 when you are 17 and 18.

I went to both of mine. The first I went by myself and got tanked. It was excellent.

The second was nothing short of a disaster. I had everything planned. Long standing, fun loving friend as my date, chauffeured lift in a Mercedes, house party to go to afterward... And the night before I came down with what is still to this day the worst 24 bug I have ever had. Was being sick from 9pm to 5am, so much so that I ended up with a hernia. Couldn't go to school the next day; couldn't eat; couldn't drink. Slept the whole day. Literally fell out of bed at 6pm, crawled to the bathroom; propped myself up in the shower. Got the tux on. Picked up the girl. Got to the prom. Couldn't eat the meal; couldn't drink; couldn't go to the house party... A particular lowlight was when a good friend of mine came up to me and to get my attention poked me right in the hernia. Nearly keeled over.

The only word that comes to mind when I think about that night is...

FUCK!!!

To be honest, I would think that was the last word to describe that evening, it sounds like that's one thing you didn't do that evening.

I never went to my prom. Didn't want to, and I don't regret it. Had I not completely fuckin hated High School and pretty much everyone associated with it, maybe I would have gone. I didn't see the point in paying a lot of money just to hang around listening to music with a bunch of people that don't like me, and would have found ways to piss me off.
