Four Horsemen

Break Me Down.
With DX back now adays and this never ending talk of the nWo coming back does anyone think if WWE ran an angle someday where Ric Flair created a new generation version of the Four Horsemen (Flair would be in the manager role) it would:

a) work?
b) get over with the fans? and
c) be able to last?

They did that and called it Evolution...:rasta:

Yeah I guess your right, I was just thinking if they called it the Four Horsemen and had Flair more in the leader role seeing as Triple H was more the leader of Evolution.

The idea only came to me seeing as all this returning stable talk is everywhere at the moment, why not resurrect the original stable in wrestling lol?

A) Not under that name, way to retro for people and they may resent WWE gravedigging.
B) Nope, the fans would still remember the old one, and compare it. For some reason really old factions with new members don't really work well.
C)No, Vince doesn't know how to run these thing and it would die out in a month or two.

There has NEVER been a successful rendition of this team without Tully and Arn ... the Mongo stuff was crap, the Pillman and Benoit horseman sucked, the Paul Roma stuff was crap.

The team worked large and in part because it was a stable of affluent men (kayfabe) opposed by the blue collar hero Dusty Rhodes. Once those elements were removed the stable was watered down.

I would never bring them back ... and keep in mind Vince has no idea how to book a stable. He thinks the destiny of all tag teams is to feud ...

The glue was Tully and Arn and the feud with Dusty.

I'd love to see. In fact I thought Evolution before they got there name was going to be the Four Horsemen.

Who would I pick?

Ric Flair as probably one of the wrestlers...
Chris Benoit
Randy Orton
and sadly Chris Masters... he has potential!

But I'm sure you can shape almost any 'new' wrestler into the role... like perhaps DiBiase's sons (one there done training of course!)

You cant bring back a credible Horseman team anymore. Twenty years ago when we had Ole,Arn, and Tully along with Flair. Yeah that was great! Guess I'm kind of giving away my age here. It would work for a one night reunion maybe but not in the long run.

how about this for a wild dream? The 4 horseman come back with Arn playing JJ.Then after there fued with the spirt six, then they help Dx fight the nWo.

If the Horsemen are ever reformed they have to be: Flair, Benoit, Orton (he's a third generation wrestler, so that means that he has to respect tradition even though his moniker is "the legend killer", he seems to be Horsemen material and the sight of him doing the Horsemen signal would seem very appropiate) and Dean Malenko, hey they brought back Fit Finlay who's a lot older than Dean, plus Malenko is one of the very few still left that actually puts on excellent performances and is very talented, and don't forget to bring back JJ Dillon!, I read an interview he had with PWI about 3 months ago and by the way he talked it seemed that he actually wants to make one last run with WWE and the since it is unlikely that Arn Anderson or Tully Blanchard would rejoin, Dillon would certainly make it actually seem a Horsemen stable and not just a Horsemen ripoff like Evolution
