First Wrestling show you went to?

HoHo

The Voice of the Future
I believe it was 97' and Shawn was coming back ready to start a feud with Bret.Shawn superkicked Bret off of his wheel chair and BAM the show was cooking. This was the same show Rvd debuted facing Jeff Hardy as the King said you guys are going to be calling him Mr.Monday Night. My family had a Taker custom made poster.Coming down the ramp, we were on the left side on the bleechers.Anyone remember the Raw show or ever seen it anywhere?

I was 5 years old and went to the old Richfield Colisseum in Cleveland. All I remember is the main event was Hulk Hogan and JYD vs. Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy. A drunk black guy jumped over the guard rail and then jumped on to Bundy's back. Then police escorted him out of the building. lol

It took me a long time before I finally got to see a wrestling event because in person up until college I ran into the issues of either none of my friends wanting to tag along, or not having enough money for tickets. I wanted good seats. After saving up for a whole semester, I bought VIP seating tickets to Wrestlemania 25 in 2009. I rode with a friend, he had nosebleed seating though since he could not afford the VIP seating like I did. We had a great time though. Turns out it was the first event for the two guys sitting next to me too. An older guy who had been watching for years like me but never been to a show and a younger guy who had only watched for a year and really liked Undertaker. The three of us exchanged predictions in between matches. One of the best nights of my life and worth the hundreds of dollars I spent.

Cool thread.

I was 8 almost 9 years old and my Mom took me to a live airing of Nitro. I remember seeing Hogan, Sting, Nash, and Goldberg. I can't remember much of it because that was 13 years ago. I know I was super excited and super happy. Aside from that I remember the rest were all WWE house shows which were pretty awesome too.

Wrestlemania 19 in Seattle! The absolute most amazing time ever. I will never forget it. I was 17 at the time. I was in the 3 rd row floor right behind taz n cole. All of my favorites were there. I can't believe I actually saw Austin, rock, hogan, HBK. The crowd was amazing. I remember taz shook my hand as I reached over two little kids. Lol. My only regret is that I didn't go to axxess

LOCAL- NWS, National Wrsetling Superstars-
I remember the roster a bit, Balls Mahoney, Power Child, and a few faces and heels.

WWE-
December, Smackdown house show New Jersey{ kids treated Alberto Del Rio like a nazi and Rey Mysterio like a god}
March- Raw House Show New Jersey{ Saw Evan Bourne's air bourne live, Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan got a HUGE
pop. So far I've seen Miz, Evan Bourne, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Natalya, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool and her dark haired partner in crime I don't remember the name of, Daniel Bryan, Edge, Randy Orton, Christian.

I was six, went to America for a holiday and went to see SummerSlam '98 in Madison Square Garden. Me and my two brothers, it was awesome when you're that age, I didn't shut up about it for months. Got tickets above in the rafters through which were good and all, and they weren't all that expensive either but when you're young looking down that far when you're smaller than the beam in-front of you is a bitch in a half!

Jarrett got his head shaved, The Rock and Triple H had a great Ladder Match; I was actually tired at this point, there are pictures of me at the event and I believe I was nearly asleep when the match was about to start but came too early on. Undertaker scared the shit out of me and my ears nearly popped at the cheer for Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Overall it was pretty good and I still remember parts. Been to about twenty professional wrestling shows, most WWE, some local in Ireland which can be good, been to England to see WWE's tapings over there plus ROH shows and whenever I go to America I try to get tickets if WWE are in town. But SummerSlam 98 was my first.

December 1986. It was a WWF house show at Madison Square Garden (but it was broadcast on MSG) and the main event was Hulk Hogan vs. Kamala.

Wrestlemania X-8.

Got to see all the best wrestlers in the world on one show for my first time. Hogan, Stone Cold, Rock, Taker, Flair, Kurt angle, HHH, Jericho, Kane and more. It was awesome.

Grand Rapids, Michigan 1993 WWF House Show but they were taping All American Wrestling and Superstars (The Better one from the 80's and 90's) I got to see Shawn Micheals with '' Big Daddy Cool '' Diesel Razor Ramon The 123 Kid The Heavenly Bodies with Jim Cornette Yokozuna with Mr. Fuji Money Inc The Steiner Brothers Bret Hitman Hart and The Undertaker With Paul Bearer Paul came over to me and did his ''Oh Yes, My Undertaker '' catchphrase and The Last person I saw was My Idol '' Macho Man '' Randy Savage My brother and I got Bret Hart Sunglasses there was well.

My second Wrestling show I went to once again Grand Rapids Michigan, 1998 WCW Monday Night Nitro I saw Once again My Idol '' Macho Man '' Randy Savage, Goldberg, DDP Hulk Hogan and the rest of the nWo Hollywood ''Big Sexy '' Kevin Nash Konnan Lex Luger like I said '' Macho Man'' Randy Savage Sting was not there I was soooooooooooooooooo bummed I been a sting fan in WCW since The NWA days Jeff Jarrett The Four Horseman Mean Gene, Bret Hart, and DOD I got a nWo Wolfpac T-Shirt. It was an event I will Never forget.

NGWA (North GA Wrestling Alliance) Me and my dad would go every sunday night.. Tommy Dreamer was wrestling there and Terry (Bam Bam) Gordy would wrestle there at times, Tommy rich wrestled there, infact him and my dad about got into a real fight.. IDK What about, but i remember tommy screaming and people holding him and my dad and said "Do you want your son to see you get your ass kicked?!" my dad said "He don't care, come on!" That seemed real to me, because it was before the show and i was little then, so idk..

But, eventually him and dad became friends and would go out back and smoke cigs and shoot the shit.

I Remember we would always always getting there early and we would be the only people there and they would let us in, and soon as i got in there, i would go to the kitchen where granny (that what everyone called her and so did i, but i didn't know her name) was and she would make me a grilled cheese :)

When we would get there late, one of the wrestlers would let me and dad in and the other people inline was like wtf?

I Use to have fun there, we went for years and years every sunday night, when the show was over me and a couple other kids would get in the ring and i would just run and bounce of the ropes like i was a wrestler, thats the only thing i would do. Tommy Rich and dad propped their arms up on the rope talking and when i was hitting the ropes, my ass caught tommy rich nose and his nose started bleeding.. lol he called me a little mother fucker and i run back there with granny was.. i was scared!

Edit: I Forgot about the time they let me handcuff sammy kent to the ring post to keep him from interfering (he was a manager, but actually the owner), tommy dreamer told me what to do before anyone was let in, he told me to when he sets sam kent in the chair to come up with the handcuffs and hand cuff him to the post (they had a match the weekend before and if dreamer won, sammy would have to be handcuff to the ring pole) Sammy Kent told me that (i cant remember is name) was going to come out near the end and demand the keys from me, and i was to give him the keys.

They attacked dreamer and handcuffed him to the pole and they beat the crap out of him with a pipe wrench after dreamer won.

My very first show was in 2002, at a Smackdown! show. I don't remember everything that happened, but I do remember that Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Triple H, and Vince McMahon were there.

The second show that I went to was the last RAW before WrestleMania XX in 2004. I was sitting around the WMXX sign, at the top. Both of these shows that I went to were held in Bridgeport, CT.

A house show in Sacramento, California a bit after Summerslam 1990. It was a great experience and went to another house show with my dad and brothers the following year which was even better because they taped hours and hours of WWF Superstars and included the famous proposal of Macho Man to Miss Elizabeth. Damn I love wrestling.

I have been a fan for years but my first show was actually this year in Oakland, where I got to see one of my favorite gimmick ppvs in the Elimination Chamber. I went with my buddy from work, he wore his DX tour shirt and I had to wear my Legend Killer shirt since I was going to see one of my hero's live that night. Great matches top to bottom, got to see Trish Stratus and Booker T outside the matches as well as Christian returning to save Edge from ADR and get some revenge for shelfing him. Both chamber matches were out of this world and I am beyond honored to say I was there, most importantly though is I saw Edge defend his title in the Smackdown chamber in what was his second to last PPV before retiring, that was amazing. I don't know how, but that night without knowing he would be retiring a few months later I felt drawn to Edge that whole night more than any of the others almost like he was the most important one there but it was all just surreal. Lawler and Miz was horrible but cool to be able to say I saw King wrestle, and my special moment was sadly when Vicki was on screen. During Viki's bit when she was whining about Dolph having anger management problems, right after she screams "please excuse me" it's goes to a shot of the crowd(pretty close up) and shows me laughing at what a joke she is. If you get a chance to look for me I'm pretty much dead center and I'm wearing a black shirt with RKO in white on the front and I'm laughing my ass off. Anyway ling story short, I witnessed so much history and it was so larger than life and amazing that even though it took me til I was 19 to go to a show I'll be going to plenty more in the future. :)

My first wrestling show was when I was 9 years old. It was in December and it was WCW Nitro "New Years Evil"
The only thing I can remember was the NWO 2000 was the dominant group during this time. I also remember Scott Steiner faking his retirement only to hit Sid Justice with his crutch and join the NWO.

First wwf/wwe show I want to was WM 17. I remember everything from that.

I can't recall what year it was or how old I was, my dad took me to my very first wrestling event. It was held in the Corel Centre (Currently the Scotiabank Place.) in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

I can't remember any of the matches on the card except for the main event of Steve Austin vs Mankind vs The Undertaker vs Kane in a No Disqualification Match.

I've always had a hard time really remembering things from my childhood, but attending that show with my dad, is a memory that I'll thankfully always have.

first one for me was when i was 11

In your house: international incident july 21 1996 in

with the main event being hbk, sycho sid and ahmed johnson vs vader, owen hart and british bulldog

i remember it was originally supposed to be the ultimate warrior instead of sycho sid but whatever the BS was that happened with hellwig he was replaced which i was very disappointed

First show for me was Royal Rumble 2000 at MSG. Had the worst ticket ever...back of the last row in the 400(top) section. But luckily MSG has good sightlines and I saw almost everything. Good view of Hardy jumping off the taxi prop.

What surprsed me that shouldn't have...I didn't realize that there would be no commentary live...real brain fart.

I went to some WCW house show in 99/2000 with my dad. I remember Saturn was there, 3-Count, and the main event was Bret Hart vs Sid. Pretty cool looking back on it

I was lucky. My grandmother is best friends with Sabu's mother. My mom and Sabu actually grew up together in Lansing, Michigan.

Nobody ever believes me, but I have no reason to lie about it. *shrug* Anyway...

In '98 ECW had a PPV in Dayton, Ohio (Heat Wave) which was the closest to Michigan they had came by that point. Sabu gave my grandmother tickets to come see him wrestle, and she took me, a buddy of mine and my mother.

I was 14 at the time, but a huge wrestling fan, so to get to witness an ECW PPV live, was just incredible. I don't remember much of it, beings as I was young, but I do remember quite a few "Holy shit!" and "E C Dub" chants that were deafening.

Oh, we also got to sit in the "family section" and I remember getting to meet Al Snows father and bugging him throughout the event, lol.

All in all, I consider myself lucky to have been able to witness a live ECW event at such a young age, and it will stick with me forever.

Oct 23, 1986, NWA invades Pittsburgh which was a huge WWE town. Sell out crowd, around 17,000, rocking atmosphere. Tully Blanchard had a full out brawl with Wahoo McDaniel, right before he retired, Tully takes nasty headshot off ring post, never see bleeding at non PPV events today! Great tag match pitting Andersons vs Rock And Roll Express, I remember all the kids screaming like mad for RR, people forget how popular they were, The Rockers were just the cheap imitation created by AWA. Then Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes in the main event. The place went nuts everytime Dusty hit anything. Short match by Flair standards, Dusty beats him senseless for about 10 min till Flair goes after the leg and hits figure four. We even got a Dusty Finish! Rhodes hits the ref by accident with a clothes line, new ref comes in, small package, Dusty wins the title ! Then the 1st ref wakes up and reverses the decission to a DQ and Dusty chases a blood soaked Flair back to the locker room. I went to multiple NWA and WWE house shows back then and the NWA Shows always had better matches and more lively crowds, probably why McMahon started forcing arenas to sign exclusivity agreements where they could not run NWA shows if they wanted his shows, he didnt want them outperforming his guys in his towns.

Wrestlemnia 24, the first and ........only wrestling event I have ever been to (until maimi next year baby!).

The crowd was awesome (of course as they always are here in Florida). The HBK vs Flair match was not only the best on the card , but the crowd arround me was amazing (there was this awesome smark sitting next to me and my family. there was about 75000 people there (as infromed to us by raven symone). I saw the pryo incident from the oposite side of the arena. It was the greatest night of my life, and I hope wrestlemania 28 will be just as good when I am in the crowd.

First ever event I went to was a World Wrestling Allstars event at the MEN Arena in Manchester when I was about 14 or 15. It was called WWA Inception. It was definitely before TNA started, and after WCW ended so I am going for maybe 2001.

Bret Hart was the commissioner, I remember making a great sign which had BRET in pink and black letters over a Canadian Maple Leaf, I was right at the front and when Bret got on the turnbuckle he saw it and pointed at me, giving me the thumbs up- it was awesome.

Scott Steiner was in the main event, tagging with Jeff Jarrett against Road Dogg and Grandmaster Sexay, future WWE star Nathan Jones was on the card- I had never seen anyone lift another man above their head IRL until then. He also nailed a double chokeslam on 2 guys as well.

If I remember right, Juventud Guerrera was there too, ex-WCW wrestler Crowbar had a tables match with someone, Gangrel was there but I can't remember anyone else who was on the card. In the programme it said Jerry Lawler was going to appear but he had JUST resigned with the WWE, Ken Shamrock was on the WWA tour but not at the Manchester event.

It was pretty cool, for a 1st ever event I really enjoyed it.

The first one I remember going to was IYH: Canadian Stampede in '97 and it was quite the memorable show and is still my favorite show I went to live.

It had a lot of good matches starting off with Hunter Hearst Hemsley vs. Mankind as the brawled throughout the arena and all the way to the outside. The Great Sazuki vs. Taka was also a solid match and since my stations never picked up Nitro (only WCW Saturday Night) it was basically my introduction to cruiserweight wrestling, something I've always enjoyed watching. The title match between Vader and Taker was good but the thing I remember about that match was the Undertakers entrance. Just feeling the arena go ice cold while he walks down the ring, all the lighters going up and the BOOM that happens when he turns the lights back on was just an incredible sight to see. Lastly the 10 man tag main event between the Harts Foundation vs. Austin, Shamrock, Goldust and LOD was a tremendous match and I will never forget the reception The Harts (especially Bret) got when they came out to the ring, I've never heard a crowd pop so loud in my life.

Also the ending where Austin gets pinned by Owen and taken away in handcuffs as Austin fingers the audience up the ramp was very memorable, Austin got just as much hate and Bret did love and bumping into Owen Hart leaving was also something I will never forget.

All in all it was a great show and I don't think I will ever be lucky to go to another one that fun and exciting again.
