Right, I think this has been done before, but I'm still gonna ask.

Who will become World Champion first?
Which Championship will they get?

Choices are:
Kofi Kingston
Drew McIntyre
Christian
John Morrison
R-Truth
Evan Bourne
Wade Barrett

I voted for John Morrison, although I wouldn't be surprised if Christian or Wade Barrett got the title before him. Miz is the current champion and we all know Morrison has unfinished business with him. Morrison has been getting a pretty solid push over the last 4-5 months, and I think the WWE should capitalize on it by having him win MitB at the MitB PPV and then cashing in for a legitimate 1-on-1 title match at Summer Slam and bringing home the bacon.

I have to put my money on Captain Charisma at the moment which I think is really cool! I have been waiting for my chance to answer Christian on such a thread and for it not to sound far fetched!! I think he will win at the end of this Edge and Christian vs ADR, Clay and Rodriguez fued which i see culminating at Summerslam, perhaps in a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship...i don't think either him or Edge should turn heel as both of them are so hot with the audience right now...it should be Face vs Face when it comes to that, let the WWE Universe make up their own minds.

My choice is Wade Barrett. He is young, good on the mic and has more than decent in ring skills. He needs a good plot and a solid storyline to establish himself as a big heel or face just like the nexus storyline sans the end of nexus.
Lets face it christian will turn heel in near future, fued with Edge and del rio will fued with someone like kane, bigshow etc on smackdown for the title after mania.Christian is not going to be a champ anytime soon and thats a shame.

I'm pretty sure Morrison will rise to the top at some point in 2011. Barrett has a decent chance, too. Kofi a distant third.

The others I'm not sure they will ever get there. Which, sucks, I'm a huge Captain Charisma fan. Christian should change his really bad ring attire. Maybe something shorter. Maybe it would help. Doubtful, though. There is one fan he could never completely win over and that fan is Vince McMahon.

If there was other, I would have gone with Daniel Bryan..

But o well.. I went for John Morrison, he has been the star of the last 4 or 5 ppv's and I see him getting THE push this year.. It's gotta be his year..

I wouldn't be surprised to see Christian or Wade Barrett get the title before him though..

I would personally have to go with John Morrison, hes got the flashiness with his move set which gets him over big time with the crowd, hes got ready made storylines with Main Eventers, most noteably The Miz.

What strikes me most though has been when he has stepped up to a main event match he has pulled out performances to match. His match with The Miz on Raw was PPV worthy, his performances at the Royal Rumble, Raw Rumble and Elimination Chamber were all stand out performances. This makes me think that if booked right he could step right up to the top.

His lack of mic skills probably wont be a problem either, Benoit wasnt exactly the most charismatic and he held the title at Mania. The Miz can do the most of their talking when they feud and Morrison has shown that he has improved to the point where it wont be a problem.

So as far as the options given, id say Morrison would be the clearest choice there, but then when Orton was feuding with Kofi i wouldve said almost exactly the same things, how things can change in the wonderful world of WWE??

Honestly my problem with most of this poll is that each guy in the current moment is stuck in one manner or another and that newer guys are going to be pushed a lot quicker then these guys, but each one sort of has their flaws and lets break them down one by one.

Kofi as a face is stuck at mid-card status and his loss on Smackdown against Shamus proved it and unless they do something dramatic with Mr. SOS he's stuck.

Drew McIntyre is kind of in the same boat as a Ted Dibiase he was getting a strong push but they have yet to make use of his Kelly Kelly storyline, and not to mention since pulling the IC title off of him he's been on a losing streak.

Where is R-Truth? I have not recalled even really seeing him since Elimination Chamber, but still on Raw he will not be pushed because of which main eventers are still there, if moved to Smackdown its a possibility, but then again usually if there's two black people on one show they somehow become a tag team so he'd probably get stuck with JTG much like MVP and Mark Henry were stuck together.

Evan Bourne now is nothing without Chris Jericho even though backstage pushes by Cena got him a spotlight, no one else will let him use it and unless they capitalize on CM Punk injuring him after Mania and pushing that feud to keep him at a main event level on Raw I'd say Bourne will be stuck for a long time too...

Now to the big three at the moment...
John Morrison - Jomo has put on some 5 star matches when in the main event spotlight, I mean the matches with the Miz made Miz look 10 times better then he is, but unless the Monday Night Delight can spit a better promo or have a woman do his talking again I cannot see him as the first to climb the mountain.

Wade Barrett - I actually respect his first year as a Heel, and he proved when he went to Smackdown he was a main eventer and really Nexus is nothing without him, as we have seen the Corre be more dominant. Now he has finally captured his first title and will probably either be in a 4-4 at Mania or he'll have an IC match between him, Show and Kane two former world champions, but I expect them for a while to build Barrett up just a bit more as a heel before he gets the big gold, but considering he is slamming 500 pound Big Show with Wasteland much like John Cena did at WM 20 I would say he is going to be in for big things...

Now is the pick Captain Charisma Christian... Christian has been a work horse his entire career and his dominance in the mid-card level capturing every possible title in that level proves it, and I think now Vince realizes with the old stars of yesteryear leaving he has to capitalize more and more on those talent who have been with him for over a decade. I mean this year you have had Kane win his first legitimate world title (you could count the first one against Austin, but he had it for a day), Goldust main eventing with Jericho, Mark Henry beating a young former world champion in Shamus, and then there is Christian. Christian in the last month since returning from injury has been in the main event on Smackdown more than once, has beaten the #1 contender for the world title in a cage match, and has been really a main focal point of Smackdown since Elimination Chamber almost more so then Edge has. So really whether they add Christian to the world title picture in 7 days or he gets his shot after Mania I expect out of this list Christian is the most prime canidate.

Wade Barrett easily... here's why.

Nobody listed has the right tools EXCEPT for maybe McIntyre, but his ship has come and gone so he would need a solid storyline to get him there.

John Morrison... it's documented, I hate him. And to whoever says he has unfinished business with The Miz, get over that will you? Miz has beaten JoHoMo (fuck off GLAAD, I don't apologize) more times than I can count... Miz is so far past JoHoMo's league that it's sad to see him even have a mention in the same breath as the Miz.

Kofi Kingston, his ship sailed when he couldn't capitalize on beating Orton. But maybe he has a chance in the future.

R-Truth is a jobber to the stars

Evan Bourne is just a jobber period

And Christian. Well I won't say he doesn't have the right tools, I'll just simply say his time may have already passed or maybe he just needs to wait a bit longer for the perfect storyline that DOESN'T involve him using Edge as the launching pad. Then again, he could also become one of the all time greats who never held a WWE world title... Like Piper.

As for Wade Barrett, even JUST after winning the IC title, I would still list him above the rest. Simply because the WWE seems to be very keen on this guy, and it's been a long while since WWE's ran a dominant heel stable angle. And by dominant, I mean taking all of their brand's titles and holding them for a long while. Would be a nice change of pace.

Honorable mentions for people who aren't listed who I feel will definitely be world champions in WWE:

Daniel Bryan... I honestly think that his feud with Sheamus will help determine if he's ready in WWE's eyes.

Alberto Del Rio... Maybe not at Mania, then again maybe so. Honestly, though he's still very fresh to the scene, I personally find this guy to have what it takes. I mean everyone knows that he's not truly a rookie, just like DB isn't, but I'm not sure people also realize that he's a second generation who was literally raised on the business.

Ezekiel Jackson... It will happen.

And not anytime soon, but if they can find something to get them going, I have a feeling that Curt Hawkins could be this generation's Bret Hart (in terms of charisma) and Heath Slater could be this generation's Edge. I don't know what it is about Heath Slater, but for some reason, I like this guy. Him and Gabriel both look to have bright futures, but I see Justin as a mid-carder and Heath as a main eventer.

Since ADR isn't a choice, I went with Morrison. Although, I think he will need to be traded to Smackdown first. I don't see Morrison beating out guys like Orton, Cena, The Miz etc for a title run quite yet, but WWE should cash in on Morrison while he is still very over, especially since things have cooled for him since his fued with Sheamus. Smackdown needs a young top face, and a Morrison vs. ADR fued over the title would be pretty great for a post-Wrestlemania program. If Miz retains at mania, I could also see Morison taking the belt off him possibly.

As for the others:

Kofi Kingston: I just posted my thoughts on him on another thread, so in summary, while I enjoy his work, and he could get a late push like Jeff Hardy or RVD, but he is just too bland right now to take him as a serious title threat.

Drew McIntyre: I thoroughly enjoy Drew's work, and think he is definitely a future contender, but he is currently lost in the shuffle on the Road to Wrestlemania, and I don't see him rebuilding steam till later in the year, possible MITB winner this year.

Christian: I have been skeptical of Christian being World Title worthy since he returned, but I think he could do alright, however, with a possible heel turn and fued with Edge, I don't see him getting the title before Morrison.

R-Truth: His time has come and gone, and while I thought it was a possibility a while back, I think he will continue to fill a midcard spot till he leaves.

Evan Bourne- I enjoy Bourne's work in the ring, but I don't think he quite fits the bill for World Champion right now. I haven't heard him cut a promo, and there is probably good reason for that. I'd say he is in the same boat as Kofi Kingston.

Wade Barrett- I think he will win a title by next year, and is my #2 pick out of the group, but I think he will carry the IC title for a good while to rebuild his credibility.
He is the total package right now, and I see him as a major player for years to come. Could also walk out of MITB with a case this year.

Christian - I voted him, seeing that he is the closest to a world title fued, involved with Edge and ADR.

Drew McIntyre - He is a close second. He has a TINY TINY fued with Edge a month ago with K2, and he was in a match with Edge this past Friday. He can fit in to this fued somehow.

Kofi Kingston - As much as I love this guy, I dont believe he'll make it to the World Title picture. If he changes his gimmick and gets more serious like with his fued against Orton, I'd change my mind.

Wade Barrett - This guy is young, he has the talent, he has the look, he has the mic skills. He would feel like a great champion, if he is credible for it. Don't lead this guy into the title like they did The Miz.

R-Truth - He will never be champion. End of story.

Evan Bourne - Same story as R-Truth. He won't ever hold the major title.

John Morrison - Definetly. He will become the champion this year. I put all my money on it.

I have a very strong feeling that Christian is very very close to the big gold!!!!!!!!! if he wasn't in a massive push then, will he ever beat del rio not once but twice!!!!! ( second one was a classic but little help from his buddy) if you were the creative head would you allow a mid-carder to beat the future champ? sure not!!!!!!!!!!! so, its pretty obvious that he or jomo will pull down the strap but i prefer Christian more!!!!!!!!

The thing is, all of those names could easily be multi-time World Champions before they retire, but WWE need to use them well. They have proved Christian is a worthy contender and people like John Morrison and Wade Barrett are on their way to a World Championship someday. Like I say, all of those can be World Champions.

(However, this does exclude R-Truth. What's up? What's up? Your Geography and in-ring skills is what's up)

I'll go with Barret mainly over Christian and Morrison for a few reasons.

Morrison, it seems, WWE are building up to go in a lengthy fued with Miz at some point to get both permanently in the main event scene and I don't see this happening until atleast the beginning of next year and most likely at next year's 'Mania.

Christian, although he's great and I'd love it if he was a champion; it looks as though if anything he may be used to get ADR more over (If ADR wins at WM and, for example, takes Edge out which leads to him and Christian fueding(?)).

As of now Barret is a guy that would fit in right away in the WHC or WWE scene and he could have a plethora of lengthy fueds which would all boil down to... Nexus/Corre. With Nexus/Corre attacking a countless number of people it seems as though he could fued with anyone on the roster. On top of that he certainly has the ability to provide Main Event matches/fueds/promos (if it wasn't for his botch-a-holic Wasteland finisher).

A small question, why the hell is R-Truth anywhere near that list... For all I care you should put Cody Rhodes on it as a wildcard. This fued he has with Mysterio could instantly squeeze him in as a contender if the match at 'Mania is great and it's used to put him over rather than make fans happy.

I'm not voting on any of them, as it's a matter of opinion, but out of them Christian is the guy who deserves the belt more (and he is a former NWA world champion) but in WWE right now I think he could and should be slotted in the Edge/Del Rio feud and possibly get a sneak title win.

I voted for Wade Barrett but now that I remember that he just won the Intercontinental Championship I want to change my vote to John Morrison. I know a lot of people are voting Christian but although he deserves it I just don't see him winning the title, especially during this ADR/Edge feud. They won't turn Edge heel again, and it doesn't look like they're turning Christian (he's a great heel though) so if they're both face I don't know how they're going to have Christian win the title without a turn.

That leaves John Morrison, the third biggest face on RAW. If he goes to Smackdown, it's almost a guarantee that he'll be feuding with Del Rio and become a World Champ there. If he stays on RAW, he still has a chance because Orton isn't in the title picture and if Cena loses at WM27 he might just fizzle out and feud with the Rock. That leaves Morrison to step up to the plate and dethrone the Miz

At this point in time and with the choices given, I'd probably have to say John Morrison though Christian's return has got me wondering. Morrison's star and stock has risen over the course of the past 8 months or so overall. Things have stalled a little for JoMo since Elimination Chamber but I'm not at all surprised about that. During WrestleMania season, Vince is going to pull out every trick he can think of, including long term proven draws, as the focal points for the event.

After WM, I hope Ziggler & Morrison continue feuding. In the few matches they've had, we've seen a hint of what they're capable of giving us.

Christian's involvement in WrestleMania is up in the air at this point. Lots of people are hoping he's added to the WHC between Edge & Del Rio, some thing he'll wind up turning on Edge and costing him the title thereby setting up a three way feud for the title after WM. I'd like very much to see Christian have at least one run with the title. A few months back, I would've said Christian won't be anywhere near the title scene. After all, it's reasonable to believe that he'd have already been there a long time ago if it was ever going to happen.

I'm happy you omitted Alberto Del Rio as he would have been the obvious answer. I would put it in this order:

1) John Morrison - late 2011
2) Wade Barrett - Mid 2012
3) Drew McIntyre - 2012+. The bad thing is I think he should never be World Champion and could see him winning it soon in a Jack Swagger type title reign. The WWE has banked so much on him I dont think they will go back. Hopefully he gets it at the proper time when hes had a few years to get better.

Superstars I think will Never win it:

R Truth - I think he will switch between lower and mid card. Probably will always be in the US title hunt.

Evan Bourne - I can see him getting a huge push that will culminate in a Mid card title win. The guy I think will breath life into the mid card title scene. Will probably hold a few tag team championships to.

Kofi Kingston: I think he will occationaly be in the title picture in lower scale ppvs to get a mega heel like ADR over. But I could also see him have multiple IC or US champ reigns.

Guys I'm not sure of:

Christian - By all rights he SHOULD be a world champion. He has every asset. But when Vince hates you or doesnt trust you, good luck. But like I said I would mark the f*** out if he ever wins the title.

Guys you should have included:

Daniel Bryan: He is the John Cena of internet fans. I can see his reign being exactly like Benoits: a huge payoff and a short 2-3 month reign followed by main event jobber status. When Im not really sure.

Sin Cara: Second biggest wrestler in the world and the next Rey Mysterio. He will potentially bring in hundereds of thousands to millions of new fans. Of course he will get a WHC run. I can see a huge payoff ppv like Summerslam or Wrestlemania being held in Mexico with Sin Cara taking home the gold.

Of course everyone voted for the obvious, Morrison, Barrett, Christian. But if watching WWE has taught us anything. NOTHING the ICW wants to happen comes true.

So my choice in Drew McIntrye.

I think McIntrye just needs backup. Maybe form a stable (Evolution style and nothing like The Nexus or Corre) with him as the Leader. With the right people behind him he could become World Champion in no time.

I'd also like to throw Cody Rhodes into the mix. He's a great worker and charismatic. Especially going down the road he is now

Christian beating Alberto two weeks in a row just now could mean two things:
Either it will soon be announced that the Wrestlemania match will be turned into a triple threat match. That would be cool. In that match Christian could accidentally cost Edge the victory or he betrays Edge and wins the title himself (my favorite outcome, albeit the least likely).
Or he won't be in the match, but will interfere, in the process either intentionally or unintentionally costing Edge the title. Either way, a feud between the two would follow.

One way or another, I would say Edge's chances of leaving Mania as champion are pretty slim.

at this moment in time for me Christian but as long as he defeats Edge for the (hopefully unified title) - he just deserves it same as Eddie and Benoit did great in the ring good on the mic

My vote was for Wade Barrett. He seems to be on the rise again and there is no question that he's got what it takes to be the WHC. I would put Christian next and then Morrison after that. Christian is more of a long time coming. He has proven that he belongs and deserves to be in the same light as Edge. It seems though that the person who is deserving is never the person that gets it. I love how that works.

My vote is definately for Christian, I think he deserves it the most as he possesses all the skills with in-ring ability, mic skills, charisma and the fact that he is very much a veteran of the ring now. He almost reminds me of a young Diamond Dallas Page for some reason. In my opinion, long over-due a world title shot.

I'm a big fan of John Morrison too and hope the WWE give him a big push in the near future. Another veteran of the ring and I really think he could fill the boots of Shawn Michaels to a degree in his own way.

Wade Barrett has a lot of potential..... but world title shot.....give me a break! He has no where near earned one yet.

Please man.. Add Dolph Ziggler to this list.
I don't care what WWE says, he was NEVER world champion.

If he was on that list, I would probably go for him. He's proven he's champion material and could've definately beaten Edge for it. I expect a title on him before Mania next year.

If not, then John Morrison. Been getting a hell of a push and can clearly compete in the league of Cena and Punk (see Raw's chamber). I like how he's not getting rushed into the belt. Will definately have the title before next year's Mania.
