Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
This feudcame out of nowhere as part of the build for Turning Point, and has continued to get better. Daniels has become an excellent mic worker, and his matches continue to impress me.

I don't see AJ losing though. With everything going on in the company, they could hardly afford trying to build a new champ, and giving AJ a lengthy run won't upset anyone.

I'd like to see what happens after this, with Lashley and the Feast Or Fired winner getting title shots...

Unfortunately, had this match happened 3 years ago, I could see Daniels going over easily and becoming an outstanding new heel champ for the company. Even today, I think that Daniels is stellar on the mic and incredible in the ring. Unfortunately, the timing is completely off.

With the entirety of TNA waiting with baited breath to see what happens when Hogan comes on-board full-time next month, they're not going to be making any kind of title transitions or major changes in storyline. That's all on hold right now, undoubtedly, and AJ is going to be the beneficiary of that fact.

Meanwhile, having Daniels contending for the World Heavyweight title is nothing short of a fantastic development for both Daniels himself and the fans. AJ and Daniels have put on incredible matches throughout their careers, and now Daniels is being rewarded by becoming a bona fide World Heavyweight Championship contender.

Personally, I wish this was happening at another time, when Daniels was actually given an opportunity to take the belt. I'd love to see TNA give Daniels the ball and let him run with it. Personally, I've always liked him significantly more than AJ, so of the people on whose back TNA has been built that I'd like to see in the title picture, I can't think of anyone more deserving than Christopher Daniels.

AJ vs. Daniels should be a great match. I don't remember the last time these 2 haven't put on a good match. Unfortunately, Daniels is a bit too old to be pushed imo. Age isn't on Daniels side right now. If he was about 7 years younger or greater, I'd be all for it. I think Daniels needs to be 1 of the greats that never became world champion. I think Daniels needs to contend and or be friends or associated with the guy that is world champion but I don't think he necessarily should hold the belt himself. It's just a waste right now. TNA should focus on building younger talent who will last 10-12 more years imo.

I see this as their just feeding people to Styles until Hogan comes. I don't see Daniels going over because the timing is wrong. A heel champion would be nice when Hogan comes but I don't see Daniels stepping to the position. Styles needs to build up his credibility as a champ. He constantly loses matches on free TV so you see a weak champion. One factor that I can't predict is Tomko.

I see Aj Styles retain in this match. I'm actually quite looking forward to this match. sure the feud came out of know were but they were teasing it alittle bit when Aj won the title and Daniels came out and celebrate with him.But if Daniels win I wouldn't necessary complain because Daniels deserved to win that belt like 2 years ago. But I guess it would be a little bad all that build up go to waste in this match and Aj does deserved a long title reign.

I am in no way bashing daniels but this match is completley to put AJ over. Daniels got the pin on impact only to make it look like daniels has a shot when in reality he does not. He is better than someone like homicide or amazing red who are at the top of the x divison but he is not as good as AJ or Joe. This match is just to make the feud go on longer. And to turn Daniels heel again. But daniels is a much better heel. He has that thing about him tht makes you know he would make a better heel

Before the growth of TNA, this is what the company was: Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles. If there was a special part in my heart for TNA, it would be over this matchup, each and everytime it happens. These two have incredible chemistry together, and with the growth of the character of Daniels as of late, this could have been an excellent feud. But there is of course one major difference, Styles is on a much higher level than Daniels, and he needs to win this. Styles will win this, and by doing so will get a great push from the original fans of the company. I just hope he has enough moment moving into the lower time in the TNA schedule.

Ya, AJ has to win here, it'd only make sense. Sure, Daniels is good and all, but he's just AJ lite. He has been stepping it up on the mic recently, but not enough to be World Champ. This should be a very good match as these are two of the best in TNA. Plenty of flippys and high impact moves will be performed. But like I said, I don't see how Daniels wins here, that would be a very bad move on TNA's part.

I agree with everybody else, this World Title fued should have happened a few years ago. It's going to be a great match but Daniels should have been moving up the same time AJ was moving up so this match wouldn't feel out of place so to speak. The build up has been great but nobody at the moment is going to buy Daniels as somebody who is going to win the championship.

I mean a couple of months ago Daniels was barely able to contend for Samoa Joe and the X-Division championship and now all of a sudden he's at the top of the rankings for a World Title Shot. Had they have made Daniels character look more impressive since his return then besides how awesome this match is going to be, people would actually buy Daniels as a legit threat to the belt.

A few years ago when Styles and Daniels were tag team champions and then broken up that's when TNA should have started building both stars equally moving through the ranks. AJ styles always remained relevant while Daniels was in the background sort of chasing the X-Division title, Re-uniting Triple X(which could have been done right if TNA backed it a lot better), then losing to lower mid-carders, then he "lost his job" in feast or fired, and then he was in lower mid-card/jobber hell as Curry Man for a year. That in itself did Daniels no favors.

While that was going on AJ eventually worked his way into the Main Event again being one of the few people to stand up to the Main Event Mafia and actually get convincing wins and thus becoming a World Champion again. Now if Daniels were to stick around and be built more effeciently he could have easily been another force against the Mafia back when the Frontline Vs. Mafia war first started.

But I hope after this match Daniels continues to be relevant in the Main Event scene and maybe get a Legend's/Global championship reign in the process. Hopefully he doesn't get shipped back down to being an X-Division filler once this fued is over cause I think Daniels deserves better and is definitely well past just being and X-Division wrestler.

Spillz3000: I have to disagree. Daniels has been in several high-profile matches since his return, has beaten Kurt Angle (at least in the eyes of the fans), and while he may have lost to Joe in the past, he did pin him recently. Besides, everyone loses to Joe occasionally. Also, the average fan probably isn't aware that Daniels was Curry Man, and therefore Daniel's 'absence' from TNA can actually be seen as a justifiable reason as to why he has not reached AJ's level as a world champion yet. That plus Daniels promo's about AJ being handed opportunity after opportunity while he himself hasn't been given a one-on-one world title shot, have (at least in my opinion) allowed Daniels to move into the world title picture quickly and convincingly.

While I agree that the timing is incorrect for the title to change hands, I don't think that would necessarily prevent TNA from doing so. That being said, there is a lot of storyline potential for Daniels to walk away with the title. Tomko is back and has yet to be revealed as AJ's attacker, and there is now a new face no.1 contender for the world title. I can actually see Daniels picking up the strap as a transitional champ, allowing AJ to move into his feud with Tomko and get that out of the way while setting the stage for Bobby Lashley to move into the main event (without having to knock off TNA's golden boy to get there). Lashley/AJ would then be set up for a later date, if not a triple threat with Daniels involved somehow. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say that this 'will' happen. But it seems plausible. If it does, I think Daniels would make a great heel champ, and TNA will look all the stronger for firmly establishing more of there own stars before the arrival of Hogan.

Daniels just keeps getting better, and at least they're building him to look like a legit contender. His match with Abyss was interesting, because he didn't go over cleanly, and then he set up AJ to be attacked. Maybe we'll finally get the reveal in this match, and still get AJ to go over, further solidifying him as a great champion.

This is the match that I am most interested in as it should be, Daniels has been amazing as off late, a really good heel, the build up too this has been really good, but im always a sucker for old friends turned against each other fueds. This match will be awesome seeing as how you have two great wrestlers in Daniels and Styles. I could actually see Daniels winning the championship but I doubt it would actually happening.

I see only one solution to this AJ vs "The Fallen Angel" match, daniels will be winning and I dont care about this whole conspiracy of "hogan is coming and aj is keeping the title" Why should daniels ONCE AGAIN take a back seat to politics!? Chris will be champion on december 20, 2009

Then you must be blind to the way the business works. Call me a smark, but its decent booking.

Daniel Covell knows his role, as AJ's best mate, he should understand that his job (challenger) is to make his mate (champ) looks great. This has been the reason for the feud being booked in the way it has, to make AJ look awesome on the PPV stage. There is no politics or conspiracy, it's just business.

There is no way Daniels is winning - we know why and its delusional to think that anyhing changes now Hogan is back in the US.

At best, I agree with NSL's predo, we get a big, interesting reveal after a great match that elevates both men.

This is what I am hoping for. Nothing will change for the foreseeable future. With Hogan coming in and the huge UK tour coming up, January is a huge month for TNA.

Daniels looked amazing tonight, and Styles finally picked up a non-pay-per-view win, so this match could definitely be the main event it needs to be. with there being no new material for TNA until the new year, this match is going to have to be outstanding for anyone to remember the show as a whole, and carry whatever feuds exist into the Hogan Era.

I doubt that they'll disappoint us, and I'm really waiting to see what they bring to the table...

I think this will be a really good match, and alongside Wolfe VS Angle it is the other potential for match of the night. I don't think that Daniels will win, but for a moment there TNA really made me think he might pull it off. I do think that Daniels will eventually get a run with the TNA Championship, but not yet. His odds would be a lot higher if the champion was anyone else but Styles. AJ Styles winning this match against his friend who he no longer trusts would be a great ending to what has been a great feud. The two have done great in the ring before, and I expect this match to be no different. Daniels will probably put up a good fight, but I see AJ walking out still the champion because it makes more sense to have the face of the company remain the champ as TNA enters a hew era with Hogan in January.

DAGGER DIAS PREDICTION
AJ Styles will retain the TNA Championship.

I expect to see a great match from these two. Now, under normal conditions, I would not be able to predict a winner. Both guys have been built up so well for this match that it is hard to figure out who would win. There aren't normal conditions, however. With Hogan coming in, they probably won't make any major changes between now and January, which means AJ retains. As long as the match is great, this doesn't bother me, but it worries me that they are booking around a man that should not be stepping into the ring.

This...was...amazing. There's really no other way to put it. AJ and Daniels went back and forth really well throughout the match, and worked in a bunch of really nice spots. This was the main event it needed to be, and finally shut up everyone that thinks AJ is a weak champion.

The finish was simply phenomenal (pun intended), and Tenay and Taz both did a great job selling it as such. There was no better way to end it, and I'm interested in seeing how this goes forward.

I couldn't agree with what you said in the LD more, NSL. Anyone who thinks AJ is being booked as a weak champion at this point doesn't know their head from their ass. This is the third-straight clean pinfall he's gotten in the center of the ring in as many months.

Bound for Glory he went clean over Sting to retain, Turning Point he went clean over Daniels and Joe to retain, and tonight at Final Resolution he went clean over Daniels. How is this not a strong champion?

I agree with you both. This was the main event that sold it for me. AJ is the best performer in the ring today. I would even say his mic skills have become tens time better then before. AJ and Daniels had an incredible match. It was hard to follow the 3 degrees of pain match, but I think the main event did it justice.

The ending was amazing with the Styles Clash from the top rope. I wonder how Daniels nasty knot on his head is holding up. It's interesting because now we have 3 top contenders to challenge AJ. We also have the stalker lurking around. I don't know if TNA has canned that angle yet but we will see.

AJ has Angle, Joe, and Lashley to feud with. Hopefully its between Angle or Joe. I feel Angle will challenge AJ on Impact, and Joe will come down to cash in. Anything could happen though which is nice and refreshing. The TNA Heavyweight Championship has been refreshing over the past few months. Hopefully they will keep the momentum going, with AJ leading the pack.
