Final Resolution: Last Man Standing - Bobby Lashley v. Scott Steiner

This match was just announced, and I can't wait to see how the feud finishes up. They've both been great lately, and Lashley seems to be heading for a steady career in TNA with Kristal doing all the talking, and him sticking to looking good in the ring.

With him winning the #1 Contender spot, he really doesn't need the win, but neither does Steiner. this means they can give us an all-out performance. i'm picking Lashley to get the "W" here though.

 

[TLC]

This match should be pretty good just like there last match. This fued has actually been pretty good, mostly on Steiner's part but Lashley hasn't been half bad either. I can actually see Lashley staying with TNA for a while so I can see him picking up the win here in a hard hitting match up, possibly with Steiner getting busted open. All in all this match should be good.

 

[Lethalfan]

This match is interesting because nowadays Scott Stiner does somewhat well in gimmick type matches like how he was good in that match at Bound for Glory. I am also somewhat excited to see how this match plays out and see how this feud ends or if it ends. They might drag this feud to Lockdown to end it in Steel cage but it would be smart to end it now. I'm going with Lashley for the win here though since tna keeps giving him this winning streak even though he lost against Homicide by dq.

The more and more I think about this match, the more it worries me. Both guys have shown they can go, and the feud is shaping up nicely. But, we've only seen Lashley in gimmick matches on PPV, and you have to think Steiner gets put in these matches because he doesn't have much else.

Within the gimmick, this could be a hell of a brawl. Both men are physical freaks, and to see one of them beat down so badly they can't answer the count would be astonishing...

It's still too early for me to give my prediction on who wins this match (my PPV prediction posts like I did this summer will be returning soon!) but I hope that Lashley wins. Steiner has been making me strongly dislike him in ways that more heels should.... I legitimately want him to lose this match just because of how he has been treating Lashley and his wife. That's how more heels should act, you're supposed to hate them. So I am looking forward to this match for that reason and hope Lashley wins.

This match should be pretty solid if Steiner tries real hard. When Steiner tries hard in his matches he’s usually pretty good. For example, there was a match ago with Team 3D I think it was. I can’t remember who his tag team partner was either, it might have been Booker T but I’m not sure. Anyways, the match was pretty entertaining and Steiner tried hard and it showed as I think he shined the most in the match.

Also, Bobby Lashley is a solid wrestler. So for that reason and if Steiner tries hard then I think the match isn’t going to be half bad. Also, I think that the stipulation in this match is a good thing. Since it’s a last man standing, it means anything goes basically. So they can do a little more to make sure the match is good enough for the fans to like it. I’m actually kind of looking forward to it to see how it goes because their feud has been pretty good lately.

I’m not sure who will win the match though. It might be Bobby Lashley but you never know. I’m leaning towards him because there really isn’t much for Steiner to do in the future on less they plan on extending this feud for a longer time…if that’s the case then they should give him the win here.

After getting overkill for a few weeks on this, we finally got a reprieve this week. Yes, they still ended up brawling, but I'd be disappointed if they didn't. This match has been booked well, and could be a decent 8 or 9 minute brawl.

Given it's a Last Man Standing stipulation, I'd like to think that Lashley will get the win, and keep his momentum going into his break for the MMA fight, and then into whenever he takes his title shot. Steiner winning would be pretty bad, but they could always swerve us, and have Kristal side with him, and give Lashley a reason to be away until his MMA fight is done with.

My opinion has not changed much since my previous post, which I quoted above. I still hope that Lashley wins, and still legitimately want Steiner to lose because of his heel actions alone. Now that this match has been made a Last Man Standing match. That only solidifies my prediction further than Lashley will win because this way he can go out with a victory after a brutal match and take a break to do MMA stuff before coming back for his next feud in TNA. I don't see Steiner winning this because of how he has been acting during this feud, many fans will view it in the way I do.... that his character deserves a loss at this point because of the way his character has been acting.

[Thriller Ant]

Bobby Lashley cannot lose clean here. He has earned a World Title shot in the future and needs to continue to be booked to deserve it. Losing this match clean to Steiner, even though he is a big name, would still be a step down after winning the mini-tournament on Thanksgiving. Lashley will either win clean or lose due to interference from Krystal.

This was a great match. The gimmick was worked well between the two, and there was no predictable heel turn for Kristal. Lashley worked in some nice brawling, and his wrestling moves all worked towards punishing Steiner. Steiner was top notch again, and if he wasn't legitimately hurt, he's a damn good actor...

The ending was perfect, but I think Lashley or Kristal messed up that pipe toss, as it played no factor in deciding the winner...

 

[It's Damn Real!]

Seems like Final Resolution really played well into the irony of it's title, considering how many of the matches had clean blow offs. I'd imagine the Steiner/Lashley feud is somewhat finished now that Steiner has taken two straight losses like he has.

The match was awesome, and the Frankensteiner spot was sick, but I'd imagine things are pretty much finished up here, if not finishing up. Depending on what happens with the world title picture, Lashley might be next in line.

 

[Tainted Meat]

I still really want to see Lashley go heel, because Kristal annoys the Hell out of me and could be a perfect mouthpiece for the otherwise mute Lashley, but that aside, this was one of the best surprises on the PPV. Steiner really worked hard in this match, leg injury and all, and showed that he really seems to love this business. Good for him, "thanks" to him for entertaining me with high-impact move after high-impact move, and "thanks" to him again for leading Lashley through a very watchable match!

 

[Castrum]

Anyone else notice how Lashley reacted quickly to messing up with that pipe the first time around?

Krystal threw it to him in the ring, he caught it but it dropped, and then for like 2 seconds he kind of stood hunched over the pipe as Steiner headed for him the ring. He went like a bat out of hell towards Steiner and speared him, then went for the pipe and did what (I assume) they had intended to do.

Overall, both Steiner and Lashley did a great job in this match.
