FCW- Who's Next?

Scofield

Pre-Show Stalwart
I always take a great interest in the next breed of talent to come up from FCW. Who do you have your eye on to make an Impact in the world of WWE next?

Who I am keeping my eye out for:

cesaro_lg1.jpg

Antonio Cesaro formely known as "Claudio Castagnoli" of RoH.

Not going to run through his whole career, but is a former RoH talent..haven't really seen much of his work but I have heard excellent reviews about this guy even before he came over to WWE.

richie_lg1.jpg

Richie Steamboat, son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky the Dragon Steamboat. If he is anything like his dad then he is sure one to watch.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more from Conor O'Brian. I liked his ring work. He does need a change in character change though. I don't want to see a rat.

Xavier Woods is another great talent. His work as C. Creed in TNA was really good.

Leo Kruger, Damien Sandow, Dean Ambrose and Husky Harris. The list of people ready for WWE right now starts and stops with them. But, it's more accurate to say "it'll be the guy that nobody expects". Nobody ever sees the next big thing until he slaps them in the face. Nobody saw Wade Barrett coming, Alberto Del Rio was a goddamn jobber in FCW and Eric Escobar was an FCW champion. So while I say that those three are the best there, I fully expect to be proven wrong.

Haven't seen enough of him to make a fair judgement.

Richie's very good in the ring and constantly improving in all regards. However, he is not charismatic at all. He doesn't have the personality to be a success in this day and age and he's not got quite enough skill to make up for it. Which would be a shame.

Good match, by the way.

I'm surprised we haven't seen more from Conor O'Brian. I liked his ring work. He does need a change in character change though. I don't want to see a rat.

FCW's way ahead of you on that. And yeah, Conor's not that good in any way, shape or form. He might make an OK undercarder, but other than that, not a chance.

Xavier Woods is another great talent. His work as C. Creed in TNA was really good.

He's shit. No way around that. He's simply godawful. Sorry to break that to you.

There are 4 FCW Talents that I think are ready for the main roster

Dean Amberose - This guy is just awesome his ring work is great his mic skills are good he reminds me of a dark twisted roddy piper his matches with cm punk and daniel bryan while on tour have been terrific and his matches with Seth Rollins and Damien Sandow have been good also I firmly believe he will be the first out of the 4 that I shall state will win a world title and leave fcw because he is just that good

Seth Rollins - One of the best ring workers out there I garruntee he can out wrestle 90% oh the main roster too bad he is like bryan he is terrible on the mic I love this guy(no homo) but he needs some serious help in the mic area which I hope he is getting I read a article on bleacher report on how they can book his debut and it was great he can come out as a dark heel and say "Im Seth Rollins and I am here to wrestle not to be an entertainer a wrestler" It would be great

Damien Sandow - He has been hovering around WWE/F Developmental's for years in OVW and of course FCW he is well overdue for a push to the main roster he looks like he could be a dark bad guy with his crazy beard his ring work s great since he went to the indies to improve then returning to wwe developmental I hope we see sandow soon he would be a great addition to the roster

Antonio Cesaro - I was heart Broken when I heard that wwe pulled there contract to hero because of high testosterone (I hope wwe get hero in soon the tag division needs it ) but anyway its not about hero Cesaro was bought in to FCW recently but it looks like he could be leaving to the main roster soon he has drawn a good amount of crowd heat with his swiss gimmick (cheap heat but it is heat) and his mic work is good and he has big potential to become a world champion in WWE but mind you all the guys I have stated can I just hope he is treated well he is a very talented individual

So as I have stated with these 4 I strongly believe they have all the potential to be the next crop of main event talents I sure hope they do they have all the talent to back it up

the choices are pretty clear...

Dean Ambrose, Antonio Cessaro, Seth Rollins, Richie Steamboat and Husky Harris...

I have my doubts about Damien Sandow i don't like he's in ring style, attire or personality, but hey it's just me...

I personally like Brad Maddox, not a great in ring talent but he can talk and at least has shown me more personality than almost everyone else in FCW...

The daughter of eddie Guerrero is ready to make it on the WWE roster, she can talk and fight, so he's pretty much better than anyone actually in the divas roster...

Leo Kruger is too old and too green to make it...

I dont really know anyone in FCW besides what Ive already seen on TV.

Husky Harris - Loved him. Good look and agile for his size. I would love for WWE to bring him back, either singles or tag with his brother. If they are serious about a tag division they have a tag team right in front of them. A feud with DiBiase could be good to start if he goes singles.

Bo Rotundo - Dont know much about him. Like I said with Husky, I think they should be placed as a tag team. Im not sure how he would survive if he was thrown right into singles.

Richie Steamboat - Small size, but could work well against some other guys such as Hunico, Ryder, hell even Swagger. I think he should start heel and have that arrogant "my dad is a legend" attitude.

Big E. Langston - Size wise I would like to see him form a tag team with Big Zek. I think if WWE is starting to put the tag division back together there should be some kind of powerhouse team like back in the days of the 80s and early 90s.

Antonio Cesaro - For as much as I heard about him in ROH in the tag division, I feel bad that he MIGHT be paired with someone else if they go tag division with him. I was curious to see the KOW. Im just ready to see what he can do in the ring against someone other than ROH.

Seth Rollins/Dean Ambrose - Been hearing a lot about these guys and Im trying to keep my eyes and ears open. Last I heard both of them were touring with the Smackdown brand getting ready to be called up. I think they both have a good look to them and could flourish in singles.

I implore you to watch the match above your post on page one . Rollins IS NOT one of the best in ting workers . Watching him "wrestle" is like watching a mime ( not sure if spelling is correct but the guys that do imaginary movements. In other words how can a man touch another mans arm and get it to bend ? Try that on a friend. His wrestling is too phony looking to me .

I like Husky and feel he should've been kept on tv . He moves well and has a good presence in the ring . That , unfortunately, is the only one I like from fcw tv . Ambrose has great promos, but doesn't wrestle well and is real quirky with his movements . Perhaps they can give him a speaking role .

Ambrose, Rollins, Cesaro are my top picks, but I was a fan of all three to begin with... I think Ambrose will be called up first of those three.

I also think Husky Harris needs to be called back. Though I'd used the Axle Mulligan name, it's just so much better. Not that weird gimmick, just the name.

I also think Ritchie Steamboat will do well when called up. Obviously, he'll never reach the level of his dad, but I still think he has a lot to offer.

I'd like to see Husky brought back to WWE TV. I'd like to see him and his brother as a tag team. If not, they should just give Husky the Austin type "bad ass" gimmick. Make him a tweener, act like a heel but book him against heels. It's probably the best chance of creating a successful face character in this day in age where people dislike your clean cut face.

Does Ricardo still wrestle on FCW?

Husky was great last time round, I think he suffered more from being nxt season 2 than for the reported heat on his build.

Abraham Washington is a wrestler now if i read things right, how is he ring-wise? his mic skills were pretty good if i remember. Although that might just have been Tony Atlas......

well all my picks have all been said but ive actually watched fcw and am familiar with most of them outside of fcw and wwe

Seth Rollins: ive seen him on fcw and in roh and he is amazing in the ring and hes not horrible on the mic hes decent i remember seeing him win the roh world title from austin aries unfortunately they have made him cut down on some of his moves but hes still really good and unless something cuts him off will do amazing in the main roster

Dean Ambrose: hes solid in the ring and his promos are amazing he reminds me of Roddy Piper so much and will be awesome in the e if they let him be himself

Antonio Cesaro: again good in the ring awesome on the mic and his gimmick is good and even if hero doesnt go 2 the e (i hope he does) claudio can go to the main roster and be a single wrestler and still do good

i see all these guys becoming world champions but then again who knows with all the politics and triple h doesnt seem to like guys from the indys and roh also i like

Husky Harris: watching him in fcw hes kinda a badass and hes pretty good in the ring despite his size i think hed be a good heel or a kinda rebellious face on the main roster

Xavier Woods: i liked him in tna as creed and i like him in fcw but i hate his gimmick but im sure give him the right one and im sure hed be good in the main roster

Richie Steamboat: hes good in the ring and im sure hell be good in the main roster he is ricky steamboats son after all

Seth Rollins reminds me of John Morrison. I dont think he will become more than a midcarder.

Ambrose is very talented. He is someone that could turn into a top heel. Hopefully they change his name. :lmao:

Damien Sandow is by far one of my favorite guys on the FCW roster; I'm a huge mark for the guy ever since his days in OVW. He's been floating around WWE developmental on and off since 2002 and he's long over due for a call to the main roster. As I remember him in OVW, Idol Stevens was a phenomenal heel with a great in ring arsenal that fits the WWE's style so well. Every now and then, I catch a few matches of FCW and Damien Sandow stands out as one who is definitely ready. Even though he's been in WWE developmental on and off for almost 10 years, he's still relatively young; age 29. This guy could really use a bit of faith and a call up to the main roster. He's damn sure better than half the midcarders in the WWE currently and I'm shocked he hasn't been called up already. Not only does Sandow deserve a call up, but so does half of the FCW roster right now. I think some might agree that FCW's roster is the best it's been in years...probably ever.

I've never seen him in FCW, but isn't Peter Orlov meant to be a fairly good wrestler. He was in the World X Cup, if i recall. He was known as Alex Koslov. Obviously, there are very highly rated names about in FCW. Ambrose, Rollins, Xavier Creed, Sandow and Steamboat. Most of all, though, i'm looking forward to Cesaro. Granted we all wanted the KOW in WWE, but Cesaro has charisma pouring out like swiss chocolate pouring out of a willy wonka waterfall.

I think it all depends on what WWE wants from FCW. If it were upto me, which it isn't, I'd take the FCW guys who are ready and use them to rebuild the tag division and see who stands out.

Steamboat, Husky and McGillicuty should be teamed with Dibiase for the long rumored Fortunate Sons stable. Husky and Mike can redebut by rekindling their issue with Lawler. Jerry can take a shot at a promo by Ted Jr. Talking about his injury. That can lead to the boys coming back to defend Ted. While he's injured he can be the mouth piece. The big knock against Richie is that he can't talk. Find a way to get him in with this stable while he works on his mic work.

HHH says that Ambrose and Rollins are the most ready to go. No doubt about that. I'd put them together with Cesaro and recreate a quasi- Triple Threat.

Frig, I been waiting for Tyler Black/Seth Rollins to debut ever since I heard he was leaving ROH for WWE which seems like more than a year. And this NXT has lost all it's focus and looks like it's not going to end anytime soon....it's really ridiculous lol.

I sort of miss the days a guy would jump ship and show up that Monday Night instead of going through FCW for so long. Honestly someone who was anticipating Tyler Black going to WWE from ROH might have lost interest by now.

Not even close Hamler. 2009/10's roster (before getting gutted by NXT) was better than the current one, especially at the top end of the roster. Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Alberto Del Rio and Kaval were up at the top end as were Sheamus and D-Mc before they were called up (and even then, Sheamus faced Gabriel for the FCW title twise). Throw in the guys who fell victim to the FCW effect like Slater, Tarver, Curtis, Riley, Hennig and Cannon (believe me, their inclusion will be offset by the people who will be subject to it in the future). Hell, look at who Kruger's had to work with of late as a demonstration of that.

There's a lot of tallent in FCW, but there are very few guys who are actually good enough for WWE. There are guys like Steamboat, Leakee and Dalton who look good but they straight up lack the charisma to make it.

If I was to point my finger and say "he's the guy, he's the one that can go to the top" it would be Dean Ambrose without a doubt.

This guy is a born heel, the way he walks and moves around in the ring just screams sociopath. he is fantastic at selling, I viewed a match between himself and William Regal in which he made Regal look like an executioner, it was wonderful to watch because it was almost like watching a skater bail from his board and land on his back. It looked natural.

Ambrose just brightest on the microphone, I've never been captivated by a person just by listening to one promo. He has this aura about that makes him very interesting.

i worry they will somehow screw moxley up,but if they let him be by this time next year i see him main eventing.rollins is gonna be huge as well.with all the name changes the e gives guys rollins clearly has the best name, its a huge improvement from tyler black which wasnt his real name anyway.

I've known Mike Dalton since middle-school and FCW has already updated that he defeated Leo Kruger for their World Heavyweight Championship. The guy has as much heart, determination, and drive to make it in the industry as anybody. Don't be surprised if you end up seeing a lot more of Mike Dalton in the future.

I'm looking at Ambrose, definitely. The promo ability, the wrestling ability, the ability to have you captivated by the look on his face, the tone of his voice, ect. Dude has it all. Seriously - and this is no hate on MAH BOI D-BRY'NNN /booker t -- but if that man can become Heavyweight Champion, then why can't Ambrose? I'm telling y'all right now, by this time 2013, the boy will be a champion. Which belt is the question.

Rather than go through the typical "oh, Dean Ambrose is good" and "I quite like Antonio Cesaro", I'll throw a name out whom I see a lot of potential in: Kenneth Cameron.

I haven't watched enough of his in-ring stuff to fully comment on his wrestling ability. In fact, the only matches I've seen have been one or two steps up from a squash. However, he seems capable between the ropes and will improve with time, anyway. But Cameron has something that can't be taught: he has an incredible presence and a killer look. No seriously, he actually looks like he might kill you. And this "presence" I'm talking about is essential for anyone being called up from FCW. They have to look and act like a Superstar, or they'll probably go the way of Eric Escobar.

So yeah, Kenneth Cameron. He currently has this gothic gimmick, which is really working for him. I could definitely see him use a modified version of it on the grand stage of WWE at some point. He probably won't be next up, but he's certainly a guy to look out for.

SEth Rollins is requesting his fans to suggest to WWE that his theme be "2nd sucks", which gave me an idea for his character. He should be a metalhead. If he were a heel he could come to the ring with an electric guitar and hit people with it (though I think he should be a face at first). Also, I think it would be cool if Ambrose debuted as a guy with multiple personalities, kind of like Mick FOley. Except he would have a Jekyl side and a Hyde side, so depending on who he was he'd act like a crazy/intense Roddy Piper face or a dark, disturbed heel. It would be interesting to say the least. It would be easy to flip him back and forht as they could just say his dark side took over or something, and then when he becomes 'face', it would be like - oh his light good side is winning out now.
