Favorite Referee

I Am The One Who Knocks
Mine would have to be Charles Robinson. This guy makes everything work in the ring. He's fucking awesome.

What is your favorite ref?

Who is the other guy?...... Is it Chad Patton
He's ver good.

Its tough to decide bacause you never really notice the good ref's, just the bad ones.

You don't want to see some stiff in shorts and trainers running aroung the ring when you're trying to watch a match.

Nick Patrick does the pointless waving of his hand before he slaps the mat. Teddy Long was awesome when he was ref.

Back in the good old days, Earl Hebner was the man. Can't say so now as he's in TNA and way too old.

Now, I have to say, either Robinson or Chioda. Chioda to me is very solid and a sort of consummate professional, whereas Robinson is a bit more fun. Despite how it was kind of cheesy, I think Robinson's football field run during this year's WrestleMania was one of the best moments of the show cause it really had that "epic" feel to it lol. Put that with Morrison's slow motion and get Hans Zimmer to compose something for it, you've got a great scene in a Michael Bay action flick lol.

Many of the refs now look like they're teenagers practically, which always throws me off.

Mark Curtis was pretty allright. I also have ta say Danny Davis as the "heel ref' was pretty good.

I have to say watching some old WCCW videos that Bronco Lubich was really a pain to watch.

I actually never really appreciated how much the refs mean to a match until Triple H reffed that match recently. I don't remember which match it was, nor do I care. But Triple H was such a crap ref it really messed up the match for me.

All the refs are pretty good, and I was about to put something here but realised that SD! may not have come out in America yet so I'll leave it.

Robinson is awesome though, as well as the guy who I forgot the name of. Anyway most refs are awesome.

My favorite is the one you don't notice. So any WWE Ref. My least favorite is the one that wears shorts and over exaggerates hand gestures, so that be Slick Johnson.

I've always liked Charles Robinson. I have to agree with NoFate, his run down that long rampway at WM was epic. I loved how he got a massive pop from the crowd for hustling his ass off. And I thought his role as "Lil' Naitch" in WCW was enteraining.

And I liked Earl Hebner as well, although I think he's getting a little too old now. When I was at Vengeance 04, we started a "We Want Hebner" chant during Heat.

My favorite was actually a guest referee. Sunny/Tammy Sytch. Did a great job with the midget matches. Looks better in spandex than Hebner.

Tommy Young from the old, pre-WCW, NWA was the best for my money.

i loved heel nick patrick as a ref when he was the nwo ref and when he screwed angel out of the wwe title at summer slam

I must say that my favorite referee hasn't actually been in the spotlight that long and will probably go unnoticed. But for anybody who had the chance to see him in footage from NWA Wildside, I think that referee Mike Posey is one of my all time favorites. Of all of the referees before him that stepped into the ring, he had the best physique of them all, hands down. And he showed the most in ring ability as a referee/wrestler when he joined Sal Renaro, Zero X, and all of the other Guys That Totally Rule for pose offs and in tag matches. You can now see him in ECW as a referee, and I can only hope that they utilize him in an angle sometime in the future as he would be perfect for it.

My three favs are Earl Hebner(like the JR of refs in my opinion), Mike Chioda (WWE's new Earl Hebner), and Charles Robinson (He is one fast son of a bitch).

Charles robinson is the best ref. he can sell and he can run

Slick Johnson. He really did a good job getting involved in the storylines and angles.Plus he looks funny in the shorts.

Chioda, he seems like a real professional and does a good job. His main focus is always observing the rules as best as he should, he stands up to the heels when they break the rules, and isn't afraid to take a bump. Also, when he counted Angle out against Daivari when Daivari laid down, that was cool.
