I used to be a big deal
Wonder why this thread hasn't been done before.

Who's your favorite actor?? Give reasons or I'll ban you.

Mine's Samuel L. jackson. Why? The man's name is synonymous with Badass. He had a purple fucking light sabre in star wars which had badass motherfucker written on it, for no reason at all and played one of the most badass start wars characters every in those movies.

He's been in everything imaginable and he's the highest grossing actor OF ALL TIME. OF ALL TIME!!

Plus he was in Snakes on a plane, and they went back and re-did the movie after it was done just so he could swear more in it.

He's the ultimate badass.

Robert Di Nero:Do I really have to explain why this man is one of my Favourite Actors, just watch Ronin and you have the reason, He can pull it all off. comedy and Drama, and Action. He's played a killer in Cape Feare. Deer Hunter is considered a Must See movie. Too many movies to go through.

Jackie Chan

IMHO he has the most amazing films ever, better yet all of his stunts are real. Hollywood films usually modify out safety mats, modify out strings or perform risky stunts in a studio with a safer environment. In Jackie Chan films, him & his stuntman do real stunts.... all done as seen in films. Jackie Chan received many injuries and even burned the skin from his hands doing dangerous stunts.

He's done the craziest stuff such as jumping off an office building in Who Am I, jumping off the rail on the top floor in a mall to slide down a light pole (which in real life he broke his back & burned the skin of his hands from that stunt) in Police Story and so much more.

I'm not a fan of the Hollywood films he's in such as The Tuxedo and Rush Hour. I only like his films he directs. If you're a martial arts fan, I suggest watching his much older stuff from the 70's & 80's such as Master With Cracked Fingers, Dragons Forever, Police Story, Fearless Hyena, the original Drunken Master, Young Master.

Vince Vaughn- I think he's one of the most versitile actors in Hollywood. He is obviously best known for his comedy roles, but he has done alot of work in drama and thriller movies as well. Although I'd rather laugh at him in Dodgeball, Old School and the Wedding Crashers, I thoroughly enjoy his performances in Domestic Disturbance, Psycho, A Cool Dry Place and Made.

Matt Damon - I want to say this first. I am not gay. But I would so totally have sex with Matt Damon. His movies are the amazing.

What I like is that in most of his movies he plays the knowing character who is always one step ahead of everyone else. Nothing portrays this better than Will Hunting, in the movie Good Will Hunting. His character is what I want to be. Rounder, the movie that helped inspire the poker boom. The Bourne series...phenomenal. The Talented Mr. Ripley, Stuck on You, The Rainmaker...so many damn good movies.

Gary Oldman: BEST ACTOR EVER. And a handsome man too. He's so versatile it's unreal. He can go from pink, to politician, to cop, to football hooligan, to Harry Potters mate. He's so good it's unreal. I also like how he isn't a really huge name. Most people recognise him. But some people might struggle to remember his name. Imagaine how bad Lost In Space would have been without him, and Joey from Friends obviously. Look at what he did with his limited screen time in True Romance. He was awesome in Sid & Nancy. Dude even made Hannibal enetertaining.

Have you seen his butt? Nice huh? :P

Matt Damon: Basically the same reasons as Slyflox. What I like about him is that he is not your typical one dimensional actor. He is as versatile as it gets. He can be hilarious (stuck on you) or he can be one of the best action heros of this decade (Bourne Identity). It's hard to argue against his ability when he has been in movies like the Departed, Ocean's 11, Bourne Identity Series. One of the best out there Period

Jack Nicholas - He is a fantastic actor! Since the shining I loved that man's work, he played that roll soo well, and the joker in the first batman. It was out of this world. You know that if you go to see a film with him in it, hes worth the admission

I couldn't agree more with Jack Nicholson. He is the definition of a legend in acting. His roles in films like Five Easy Pieces, The Shining, the Crossing Guard, etc, are so amazing. So versatile. He just lives his roles.

But Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel come into a close second. De Niro is obvious (Taxi Driver, 'nuff said). But not as many people seem to appreciate the great Harvey Keitel, who was so god damn amazing in films like Mean Streets, Reservoir Dogs, Bad Lietuenant, etc. If you don't recognize his name, go find one of his movies right now. RIGHT NOW.

And finally I'd be insane not to mention Vincet Price. Say what you will, but no one played the role of evil and insanity like Vincet fucking Price.

Adam sandler. This man is funny. He's proven that he can command in a lead role or a side role. This guy should be a wrestler. His mic skills would be phenomenal. He should stick to comedies..The dramas like SPanglish aren't his thing

Aren't we all forgetting someone. Al Pacino!!! This man is the best. The Godfather trilogy, Scarface, Heat, I could list #1 hits all day long. This man is the definition of good acting. There's a lot of other actors I would consider (De Niro, Nicholson, Matt Damon) but a close second would be Adam Sandler. The man is the best comedy actor I've ever seen.

Im going to throw two more names into the ring here. Gene Hackman, still going and creating good roles in movies for himself. He does Comedy and Drama. I mean he was in the Replacements and then you compare it to Enemy of the State, two different characters and yet both portrayed brilliantly. The Second name that I am throwing in here is Dustin Hoffman he has delivered two of the best lines in all of movie history that of "Mrs Robinson ,Are You Trying to Seduce me?" and "Im Walking Here" The First from the Graduate the second from Midnight Cowboy. He has done so much for the Movie Industry and is an awesome actor.

Jack Nicholson- i loved him in One Flew over the Cuckoo's nest and i loved him in the shining i also loved his as the joker in the original Batman. He was hilarious in there and he was serious, he was very scary in the Shining he played that character well. he was great in so many movies like a Few good Men and the movies i listed already. He could play the villain part so well. the man is basically a legend in the business like stated before he basically lives his roles which makes him versatile and enjoyable to watch.

i dont have a favorite actor but i have a favorite actress

felicity huffman - i think that she and marcia cross carry desperate housewives but in third season she began to show of what she can do and i can tell you she's terrific i haven't seen an actress who can change her drama scene into a comedy scene as fast as her .
She also did great in her film transamerica and i think she was screwed and she deserved to win the oscar for that role and she was also screwed again in the emmys and she lost to that pice of crap called america ferra:cuss2:
and let me show you her terrific performance in desperate housewives in case you didnt see it (but im glad she won the emmy two years before:) )
