Fantasy Booking: The greatest wrestling show of all time.

Dark Match Jobber
If you were told to make a wrestling pay per view, in which you had 15 matches to make the greatest card of all time, with star power, great matches etc, what would you choose? How would you book it, who would win these matches, and who would be heel/face?

As this is fantasy, every wrestler from all time is available, in their prime, or from which ever era you would want them from.

Here is mine, from main event to opener;

Main Event:
98'-99' Stone Cold Steve Austin (face) vs 97' Hollywood Hogan (heel)
A dream match people have been wanting too see for years, this match undoubtedly has star power, with 2 of the 3 biggest stars wrestling has ever produced, and the two leaders of the biggest boom periods in wrestling. Wouldn't be a technical classic, but this match wouldn't need that, espescially with some of the other matches on the card. Hogan would be my world champion coming into this, Stone Cold the anti hero chasing him and finally beating Hogan. Verdict: Austin wins clean.

Co-main Event:
99'-00' The Rock (face) vs 97' Shawn Michaels (heel)
Another huge dream match that hasnt happened. Two of the most charismatic stars in wrestling history. In ring this would be a very good match, not the best of the night though, but the crowd would eat these two up. Verdict: HBK wins dirty via distraction

Hell in A Cell
98' The Undertaker (face) vs 97' Sting (face)
Possibly the most called for dream match thats never happened. Two of the most legendary pro wrestling characters in history. These two could do everything in this match, and would be allowed out of the cell to do whatever spots they wanted. Could steal the show. Verdict: Taker wins clean

Womens Title Match
03' Trish Stratus (face) vs 05' Lita(heel)
Other than Sunny and Sable who werent great in the ring, probably the two most defining divas of the last 20 years. The only women to headline raw, and two of the bigger stars in the attitude era. Would actually put on a good match that the crowd would love. Verdict: Trish wins clean

09' Randy Orton (heel) vs 93' Mr Perfect (face)
With a lot of spectacualr matches taking place througout the night, this would be more of a solid match between two incredibly smooth workers, but also a match that would break up the card before the 4 main events. Verdict: Hennig wins clean.

Tag Team Titles TLC Match
00' The Hardy Boyz (face) vs 00' Edge and Christian (heel) vs 00' Dudley Boys (heel) vs The Road Warriors (face)
We know that the first 3 teams are a winning formula for this match, and would produce a match of the night contender alone, but adding the power and aura of The Road Warriors i think would only add to the match. Verdict: Edge and Christian

2 out of 3 falls match
06' Kurt Angle (face) vs 97' Bret Hart (heel)
This would be the all american 'Wrestling Machine' Kurt Angle taking on the america bashing Bret Hart in a surefire match of the night contender. They would be given the time to put on a classic, with many different spots. Verdict : Angle wins 2-1

87' Andre the Giant (face) w/Vince McMahon vs 96' The Giant (heel) w/Eric Bischoff.
The could play off the whole Eric Bischoff discovering Andres son angle, and this match would really be a spectacle. Obviously not an in ring classic by any means, but this match would not need this. Verdict: Andre wins clean

War Games Match
The Kliq; Triple H, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac (heel) vs Booker T, Owen Hart, Goldberg and Kane (face)
The Kliq vs 4 guys who they have either had legit heat with (Hart, Goldberg, Booker) kept down (Booker) or had major feuds with (all of them) would put on a great match. Most can go well in the ring, with Triple H and Owen Hart being the ring generals in the match. Verdict; The Kliq wins clean.

Submission Match
04' Chris Benoit (face) vs 12' Daniel Bryan (heel)
Is this not a match people would love to be able to watch over and over? These guys would put on a wrestling clinic, and like Angle and Hart be given all the time they need. Verdict: Benoit wins clean

03' Brock Lesnar (heel) vs 05' Batista
Two of the most physically imposing athletes in WWE history, they would have a short, but intense match. Verdict; Lesnar wins clean.

IC Title Match
09'-10 Chris Jericho vs 89' Randy Savage
Another match of the night contender, between two excellent story tellers in the ring. Verdict: Savage wins clean

Street Fight
00' Cactus Jack (face) vs 87' Ric Flair (heel)
Two of the biggest legends in the business, with such different styles, but they would be able to pull off a hell of a masterpiece of a match here. It would be bloody, but beautiful. Verdict; Flair wins via Interference

I Quit Match
John Cena vs The Ultimate Warrior
Can you imagine either of these two ever saying 'I Quit'? Not an in ring techincal affair like a lot of the matches, but these two are big draws, superstars and could work the crowd. Verdict; Cena wins

Opener
11' CM Punk (tweener) vs 04' Eddie Guerrero (face)
Would be an entertaining respectful buildup, about how Punks the best in the world but Eddie has to cheat to win, all tounge in cheek. The first match to open the night with a something that will surely set the bar for the whole night in terms of wrestling. Would put on a great show and get the crowd pumped. Verdict: Eddie wins by grabbing tights

I'm going to go with a more realistic fantasy event. We're going to the summer of 1988 and we're going to have the NWA/WWF SUPERCARD OF CHAMPIONS! I'll go down the line here with some solid matchups and set up why they would work.

Live from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland

Opening Match
The Hart Foundation vs. The Rock n Roll Express

Talk about a contrast in styles. Hart Foundation's clearly the heel tag team in this bout with the Rock n Roll Express the babyfaces. It's a great back and forth and you'll have RnR come out on top after botched interference from Jimmy Hart costing the Hart Foundation the match.

Second Match
The Honky Tonk Man vs Rugged Ronnie Garvin

Another contrast in styles. You have HTM who is all finesse and all about shake, rattle, and roll going against the Hands of Stone and a legit tough son of a gun. I say this goes to HTM as Jimmy Hart's successful in his endeavor to interfere in the match, helping HTM get the win.

Third Match
WWF Tag Champions vs NWA Tag Champions
Demolition vs The Road Warriors

My goodness what a matchup this would be. Two of the baddest tag teams in the world of pro wrestling square off for bragging rights. The match will go on for about 20 minutes before it breaks down and is considered a No Contest, as having one or the other go over wouldn't do it justice.

Fourth Match
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper

A match made in wrestling heaven. Dusty is the face and Piper's the clear heel in this bout where it's a brouhaha. We're talking chair shots, stiff fists, and lots of brutality that sees Piper getting a dirty win over Dusty with a roll-up while holding the tights. Of course, Dusty goes after Piper and gets some more of the Rowdy Scot before he tucks tail and heads to the back.

Intermission

Fifth Match
Sting vs. Macho Man Randy Savage

A very green Stinger vs. the Macho Man at his peak. Want to talk about a dynamite bout? This one could steal the show. It goes for nearly a half hour before Savage gets DQ'd thanks to Sensational Sherri, which causes Sting to give Savage and Sherri a meeting of the minds and seeing them duck out as Sting looks strong.

Sixth Match
NWA US Champion vs WWF Intercontinental Champion
Barry Windham vs. Mr. Perfect

A unique bout with two known heels and one current member of the dreaded Four Horsemen and a future member of the Four Horsemen going into battle to see who's the best mid-carder of all time. Lots of back and forth, which sees Windham dominate most of the match with his size, but as it keeps going, Perfect gains momentum and tries to finish Windham, only for JJ Dillion to hand Big Barry an 'international object' and attempt to blast Perfect. Perfect sees it coming and ducks the shot, grabs the object and nails Windham with it, without the ref seeing it. Perfect Plex finishes Windham for a supposed win, only for the ref to see the object on Perfect and disqualify him, and give the match to Windham.

Seventh Match
The Midnight Express vs The Rockers

A very eventful tag match that sees the WWF version of the Rock n Roll Express going against the United States Tag Team Champions accompanied by James E. Cornette. The match goes back and forth and sees the Midnight Express coming out on top after some work by Jim Cornette to get the upper hand and a racket shot to the solar plexus of Shawn Michaels to get the win.

The MAIN EVENT
Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and Jake 'The Snake' Roberts vs Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard

Talk about a super bout. The three top faces in the WWE square off with the dreaded members of the Four Horsemen. This match goes on for at least 45 minutes seeing mostly Horsemen domination over Roberts and Warrior and them looking to avoid Hogan getting into the match. Of course, after a hot tag to Hogan, he cleans house and it all breaks down, and then we see Hogan being surrounded by the Horsemen. They set up Hogan to get concussed with a knee to the back of the head, only for Warrior to push Blanchard off the top rope onto Anderson, knocking them both out of action, and this leads to Hogan hulking up on Flair. Flair manages to avoid a big boot and ducking out of the ring, only to be met with a DDT to the floor by Roberts. Hogan tries to go after Blanchard and Anderson, only for them to get the upper hand, send Hogan into the ropes. Before Hogan comes back off the ropes, Warrior trips Anderson, and Blanchard meets the big boot and a leg drop and is pinned for the 1-2-3.

It's only eight matches, but that's all a card needs of this proportion.
