I have no idea why but I have a MySpace, a Facebook, a Bebo and a twitter account. I never, ever use MySpace and Facebook and I rarely use Twitter. I just don't see the draw in Twitter in all honesty.

The only one I use to any great extent is Bebo. I don't think it has the popularity in the US as it does in the UK. I like it. Everything is customizable and keeps me entertained as well. Bebo is the same however. People are going to see your comments etc if you don't put your profile on private, that way only your friends can see it. Also if it bothers you that others can see it. Why not just send private mail messages to your friends?

I think Facebook is too open for me seeing as how I like private conversations with my peeps that I don't see anymore. I have a myspace & I like it due to the privacy & that most of the friends that I don't see anymore & are still back in Texas all have a myspace.

The current version of Windows Live Messenger doesn't even come CLOSE to comparing to some of the earlier versions of MSN Messenger. In their quest to make Messenger do everything, they took out the most important features of all...usability and quality.

I used to be able to just right click my messenger icon and see who was online, without having to open the whole program. Messenger used to not be in the way. Messenger used to be used to chat with people, and it was easy to tell who you were chatting with. Now...it just sucks. I hate what its become. If old versions would work, I'd go back to the early days and use that.


Then again, I'm old school in the fact that I want Messenger to chat with people, not to show everyone all the things I think are cool.

If something's too private to tell someone on Facebook and let everyone see, they do have a message system on it. Nobody can see that except the person that you sent it to.

The only things that annoy me about Facebook:

1. News Feed needs more tweaking. I should be able to eliminate all posts from certain apps, not just "hide EVERYTHING (insert person) does". I don't give a shit about Bumper Stickers, no matter who posts it. But I don't want to hide every single person just to make sure I don't get Bumper Sticker news.

2. Those ads that you can't get rid of are annoying.

3. Highlights my ass. Get rid of that column.

4. "Become a fan". I don't care if you're a fan of sunsets or milkshakes or whatever.

5. When other people send you invites to the apps that suck. A good app, I don't mind, but I see no point in fucking "pokes".

Windows Live sucks compared to nowadays, purely because they try to be cool and simple when it seems such a blooming task to do things, additionally it's now not responding with my Virus scanner and I can only use it via ebuddy, etc.

As for Facebook, used it short of 2 years, it was alot better back then, now it's just the constant updates of people and who they post on walls and updates that I don't care about. At least previous versions were more relaxed than anything. But it's seeing things like "Top 5 Celebrities I'd love to shag but stand no chance" do I care? The other bit that the newer version annoys me is the subtle of stuff, like Birthdays. Unless they're close friends, I don't know certain birthdays happen and FB would help with that. Now it's in the most subtle of places that I keep missing them. It's stupid but it helps getting in touch if need be. Think I use the msn on that more the other atm.
