In fairness though, there was no way he was going over 'Taker in his first match on Raw in months after he made a return in the middle of his annual vacation. Morrison's win was kind of a fluke though. If Swagger hadn't dropped him within arms reach of the ropes he'd have won. If he beats Orton he can salvage some of his credability though, which is what I think's going to happen. Even if he barely gets a win and/or gets it in a manner that would get him DQed in a normal match (e.g. low blow => GWPB, choking him out until he passes out etc) it'd be better than having him having the last nail RKOed into his coffin and his main event career buried.

I know he shouldn't go over Taker, but there's a million fuckin' things you can do in that match without having Taker pin him clean in the middle of the ring. It just made it look like Swagger was totally not even deserving to even be in the main event. Like, why isn't the Undertaker number one contender now that he just beat the world champion clean in the middle of the ring? Just stupid booking on WWE's part, all a part of that disastrous Raw. I actually REALLY liked Morrison going over Swagger because I'm hoping it means Morrison is finally going to get his main event push, but this has to be one of the worst ways to build up to a championship match I've ever seen with having Swagger lose clean to two different guys in the span of a few days. He just doesn't look like he's even slightly on their level, and even if he really isn't, they have to sell that illusion to us otherwise why the hell should we care about his match this Sunday? Just piss poor booking.

I agree with you on the 'Taker thing, Swagger shouldnt have won, but he shouldnt have been pinned either. He could have pulled a McIntyre and buggered off mid match, which would have been a great move from a logical perspective (he's saving himself for sunday), booking perspective (He doesn't lose cleanly, and commentators can hype how 'at extreme rules there's nowhere to run'), and a heel psychology perspective (he's depriving the fans of a conclusion to a great match). There are other things that they could have done too, but that's what springs to my mind.

And Likewise I loved the Morrison match. A because it was good and B because it looks like Morrison's finally getting back to being pushed up to the main event. Which is great as I'm a big fan of Morrison. A pity that his shocking win had to happen in the same week as Jack's loss to the Undertaker.

In a note barely relating to this match, does anybody else think that Swagger needs a secondary finisher? The GWPB is a great move, but it sometimes looks like Jack can barely lift the victims up for the move. Given that the guys at the top of the card are quite a lot bigger than guys like Morrison and Christian, I think he could do with a finisher that relies more on skill than strength.

Maybe Swagger could use a submission finisher? I think a submission finisher would be a great addition to his move set.

On a side note, does anyone care about Cena VS Batista? I haven't seen anyone mention that match in this thread or hint at it. Is it because it's so painfully obvious Cena's going to retain the WWE championship in this one?

I'm not quite excited for Cena v Batista III. A last man standing match, it was not even a year ago he was in an I Quit match, which is a similar concept, Cena's obviously going to win, they wouldn't let him have such a short reign. As for Swagger/Orton, I've love for Orton to win the belt and go to Smackdown to feud with Swagger, but I'd love to see Swagger go over him, I mean, Orton had the better of him twice in the last month, which pretty much sets up the obvious loss as I don't think they'll let Orton have his number for a 3rd time in a row.

Shad vs JTG should be a good match. Nice to see a feud that serves no purpose other then your simple break up feud get some PPV time. I see Shad going over JTG for sure.

I am very curious to see what Shad and JTG enter to. Shad better debut a new fucking finisher.

I am also looking forward to Jericho vs Edge. I have seen no mention of that match in this thread.

They're underwhelmed just about everyone in the last month. That'd be my guess.

I tried to warn them.

Edge has terrible...

...with just about everyone. Come on, you can do this one.

Im going to find a way to watch this PPV, because the matches look great and the interactions between wrestlers in their rivalries have been entertaining.

Son of a bitch JTG won. That was surprising. I guess they're going to split the two members with Shad going to Raw. What are everyone's thoughts about JTG? Should they repackage him or should they keep his Cryme Tyme gimmick?
